Woohoo!!! Thanks Gaia, thanks Michael, a lot! heart

I read a part of the first book here on Gaia and was hooked... but (ofcourse... blaugh ) the book was nowhere to be found in my country... dangit!!!

Last January I'm on this big book seminar-thing, and I was walking along and all of a sudden.... * le gasp * The Alchemyst, WOOHAAAAA!!!! And cheap too! Pwetty cheap pocketbook, waiting for me to take it home... mrgreen

Definately worth buying, and if you don't have the money.... now it's entirely free!!!!!

I loved the book and I found out while I was reading that there had to be more parts... lol! I didn't know it wasn't a standalone book, but since I love these kind of books, keep 'm coming!! Part two isn't available here yet (for as far as I know), but knowing that there even is a part three sure makes up for the waiting!

Man they should even turn it into a movie....

People that love these kind of books might also enjoy the trilogy of Cornelia Funke, it starts with Inkheart.

Anyone got some good reading tips for me???

Thx,
Bookwurm Maddy blaugh

I've only read the first book so far - the second is still resting on my mothers' nightstand XD - but I'm really eager to read what happens next. So far, I adore Scatty, she just appeals to me as a character so much. When it comes to the lesser characters, I greatly enjoyed Hecate, too. She's actually my favourite deity of all time (though that sounds a bit odd XD) and the way she was depicted was just amazing. In my imagination I could clearly see what she looked like, and it simply worked. ^^

Looking forward to the release!

Kairi Rora
this book sounds familiar...
if youve ever read the first Harry Potter Book, or seen the first Harry potter Movie, Nicholas Flamel Was Mentiond Many times
Oi, Nicholas Flamel was mentioned way before Harry Potter. He was an ACTUAL person and he was known for his work on the alleged "Philosopher's Stone". But, it turns out the stone's power to make you immortal was false and was more about the journey to find it...or something like that.

In any case, I picked up the Alchemyst a long time ago, on a whim. Turns out it's a really great book. I bought the Magician a few days ago, hard cover. I'm really looking forward to reading it.
eek OMG i took the first book [the alchemyst: The immortal Nicholas Flamell] out 2 weeks ago. it was a wicked book. totally awsome! whee surprised surprised
i cant dl the e-book, wen i try to it says that theres a problem with it and cant be opened or saved
