[GAIA] The Sorceress
A new volume in Michael Scott's The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series arrives in stores May 26. The Sorceress picks up where previous books The Alchemyst and The Magician left off, continuing Nicholas Flemal's battle against the Dark Elders.

In anticipation of The Sorceress, we figured we'd spark some conversation on the series. Discuss all things Nicholas Flamel here, such as...

  • Your favorite character or characters.
  • Favorite parts of The Alchemyst and The Magician.
  • Favorite historical/mythical references in the series.
  • What you hope to see in The Sorceress and subsequent volumes.
  • What interested you most about the books.
  • Those pesky Dark Elders.
  • The dangers of necromancy.

Share your thoughts! We'd love to hear what you think.

Just so everyone is reminded, in 24 days the forth book in the Flamel series, The Necromancer will be release in the US. In the days leading up to it, Quotes of the Day will be available for everyone at the Main Portal (the official fan site for the series) here: Flame's Immortal Portal or in the Forums - both of which, sporting a new look to usher in the book release.

Also, if you are a Registered Member, you will have a chance to read a short story by Michael Scott on Scathach and Jeanne de Arc originally posted last Christmas and other exclusive reveals by the author in and around the forums. Hope to see you there!

The Necromancer comes out on May 25th.

**UPDATE**

Quotes of the Day are only available for members of the Forum. Interested in reading them? Click on the "Forum" link above. Two quotes have already been posted.

I'm just pumped the action is back in the United States....I liked the stuff in Alcatraz, and Ojai in the Alchemyst, but I want to see some crazy stuff going on in San Francisco or elsewhere. I will be able to relate to the action more if it's somewhere I'm a little more familiar with.

I understand what you mean, but the key in all this is imagination wink and you will be transported to the location Michael Scott is describing.

Incidentally, for the people in the US Random House has released The Necromancer game -- Quest for the Codex. They are still working out the game so the non-US resident (like me) can join in the quest.

Good find on the game; I've checked that out myself.

Yeah they keep promising to get the kinks worked out for the non-US fans, hopefully they do so soon because the game is pretty solid.

Nah, I won't take credit for that. If you're a member of the series official Fan Site and its Forum you will get those news. Michael Scott comes in on the Forum on a regular basis and he also tweets about information related to the Flamel series.

14 days 'til The Necromancer and we are now on the 11th Quotes of the Day. The quotes are only available for members, so I suggest you join our ever growing numbers.

Also, the fifth and final clue for The Necromancer came out earlier. You can look for links to those clues here:Necromancer Clues

See you around the Forum.
Until the next ley gate opens...

P.S.
The Quest for the Codex game is now open to us non-US residents. We, however, do not qualify for the sweepstakes. smile

Damn, you're more up on it than I.

They've started giving away hints for the game on the facebook fanpage, too: http://www.facebook.com/secretsofnicholasflamel?ref=ts
