Hm... I'm looking for something interesting, fantasy, and based in Japan wink I've already run my little book searches, and I've failed several times. Thus, I'm here checking around for recommendations (And please, don't recommend a manga to me... I appreciate the sentiment, but have plenty of them to read. I'm more interested in a Japanese fantasy novel ) 3nodding

I heart love vampire books, got a lot of great ideas for books to look for from this thread.I really wanna try Blood and Chocolate.Sounds good but I wont know till I read it.

I highly recommend that everyone should read the Sookie Stackhouse series if they like their book with a telepha, vampire, werewolfs, shape-shifters, fairies, and witches. Also there is the tv series based on the books called True Blood

Have you read The Twelve Kingdoms series by Fuyumi Ono? I have yet to read it myself, but my older brother highly recommends it. The first one is called The Shadow of Moon Sea of Shadow.

Well since i have read and liked some of these books i'd recommend Wildwood Dancing, Coraline, and Silver Kiss. They are really good and i think you'd enjoy them. =]

I have been reading alot of Darren SHan, he has the Crique Du Freak series as well as Demonata. They are not bad. Very easy reads, and they get more interesting as you read the books.

I would recommend Angels by Marian Keyes to those who love Chick-lit.

Otherwise I would recommend The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. That's an amazing book!
