What I'm into: Mainly fantasy, romance, and some real life fiction like coping with things but depends on if the characters are appealing to me

Trust me I read a lot xd I just read some classics for the first time ex. The Crucible, Their Eyes Were Watching God, and a few others. They were good, but I prefer modern as that's just me.

Maybe The Forest of Hands and Teeth? It's a romance/finding one's self/following dreams at any cost/coping/escape novel set in post-apocalyptic world of zombies. It's very different from most zombie novels/movies I've read/seen as it takes place many many generations after the initial outbreak. It's a easy read, but by no means simple. The characters as well as their world is intriguing. It just sucks you in completely and with minimal ease.

It was released this March, so it's definitely new. :] I read it in my English class and utterly loved it. Plus, there's a sequel being published sometime next year as well as a third in the works, I believe.

It came to mind, so I figured it was worth mentioning. xD

I am looking for a book that doesn't make me think at all, but is addictive and FUN to read. It doesn't have to be well-written at all, just something that is enjoyable. Could anyone make a reccomendation?

It really depends on what you're into.

One book that immediately comes to mind, that would definitely NOT make you think much at all, is Marked, by P.C. and Kristin Cast.

It's a vampire series, although a quite different one.

The way it was written is way too simple - almost annoyingly so - but depending on your liking, the story just might make up for it.

Unfortunately I need some more time to think of any other books that don't require much thinking... for I'm fond of deep and complicated books that makes you think to understand them.

I haven't really read a lot of books about vampires, actually the only ones I can list off the top of my head are Twilight (did not like that much at all) and an abridged version of Dracula in class (which I found kind of interesting)

But I'm willing to give almost anything a try!

I do like some of the slightly more complicated books (but I really can't stand anything that goes overboard with descriptions) but I haven't been reading a lot at all lately...I'm starting to feel like my love of books has kind of faded, and it would be nice to have something just fun and not too deep to kill time with XD

well i'm a psychoreader...when i get a book in my hands i just cant stop reading!...so i though it would be good to tell u guys about my fav books and some i really enjoyed..
-The Book Thief :my fav book of all times. a sad story about a girl that lives in a small city outisde of munich during WW2...
-His Dark Matters Series: red the 3 of them and love them!
-Harry Potter Series: I think they're on everyones list
-Twilight Series: Is really addictive and easy to read!..no i'm NOT a twitard i just love the books :3
-The Godfather Series: a clasic of mafia books...i love this books!
-Pride and Prejudice: You gotta love this book! if you red twilight you should read this ones cause meyer based twilight in this one.
-The Melancholy -death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories: By Tim Burton..u have to love this book is really dark i guess..and is a really funny poetry..a must have if u love tim burtons movies!

I’ve skimmed through some of the previous posts and looked at some of the already recommended titles for vampire novels but none really stood out to me.

I’ve read: Bram Stoker's Dracula
Salem’s Lot by Stephen King
and part of the Vampire Chronicles (lost interest)

Hopefully someone could give me the title to a good gothic horror?
