The Recommendation Thread - Looking for a new read?

Any recommendations? I'd read anything once it's interesting. I love Gregory Maguire's writing especially Mirror Mirror! I posted here on an earlier page with more specific favorites! Thank you. And please, no children's books.

I'd recommend some of these books:
Garth Nix's Sabriel (and the rest of the series)
Twilight Series (obviously)
Mortal Engines ( this book is amazing!!! best 1 here)
Apache (unsure who it's by, not many like it, but i do so...)
The Red Necklace ( By someboddy Gardner, i liked it alot...)

oh, and for the younger : Skullduggery Pleasant ( childish but really good and funny!)

you could read some manga such as:
Vampire Knight
Naruto Shippuden
Fruits Basket
Bleach

or you could read some novels like:
Twilight(and rest of series)
Stay The Night(if you like vampires then this is your book)
Dream Warrior(great book if you're interested in gods and myths)

if yall r lookin 4 books im reading the Oracles of Fire Series. I also recomend the Dragons in our Midst Series. They are both by Bryan Davis. I really like them and i hope u will 2 3nodding

I just finished reading a couple of books by Kay Hooper,
Blood Dreams By Kay Hooper 4/21/09
Illegal Possession by Kay Hooper 4/24/09

The blood dreams is about a special crimes unit dedicated to people who have special abilities and they use them to help solve crimes.

Illegal Possession is more of a romance novel, I am not really into them but it was ok.

Try Katherine Bear's stuff. It's sci fi as opposed to fantasy, but it has the same sort of dark humor. And it's um, definitely not kid's lit. *cough* Start out with Carnival, maybe.

For the Romantic/Adventurous books, try Harlequin Intrigue. They have a lot of good books in there.
