Hey ya smile . Hope you're having a good day. I need some book recommendations. I enjoy supernatural, magic, fantasy, and mythology (Greek), and alittle romance is fine too. I personally prefer supernatural and mythology (Greek) above all else. I am not to into books with people with weird elf names. Here are some example of stuff I like
Percy Jackso and the Olympians (series)
Heroes of Olympus (series)
Chronicles of Vladimir Todd (series)
Darkest Powers trilogy
Darkness Rising trilogy
Vicious Deep
Thanks. whee

You might like the Pendragon series. It's about a boy that gets to travel to different dimensions trying to stop an evil that wants to destroy everything. Not very Greek myth but its a pretty good read. Theres also the House of Night series, thats a good supernatural/magic series.
I'm a big John Green fan, and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for me. I particularly enjoyed Looking for Alaska and An Abundance of Katherines.

I'm after something that's got fantastical elements in it but isn't yet another elves-and-dragons high fantasy, and doesn't have characters named dumb things like Elavarilysthawenne... I enjoyed Diana Wynne Jones' books and the Inkheart trilogy as a kid, so something along the lines of those but a bit more grown-up would be good.

Well, I'm looking for a new book.... I'm in between books of my favorite series so I'm looking for something to entertain me....

I've been reading the Maximum Ride books.....And I'll read anything that has to do with Vampires or Werewolves (recommend House of Night or Twilight, already tried...), I love Black Dagger Brotherhood and The Fallen Angels by J.R. Ward but I'm waiting on the next books. I like the Shiver books too.... Just looking for something new...

Try Sunshine by Robin McKinley
Have you read Blood and Chocolate? It's pretty good.
The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher deals with vamp and a were or two but, it's adult fantasy and I noticed that most of the books you have there are YA.
Any recommendations? 3nodding

Can anyone recommend a fantasy story that's unique and interesting? I love the genre, but it feels like a lot of the stuff that comes out of it follows just a few different paths. They all just pick from a few different settings and a few different plot types. I want either a modern/urban fantasy book, or a fantasy that takes place in a unique setting. (seriously, I'm sick of these Medieval Europe/Medieval Europe-like worlds inhabited by humans, elves, orcs, and Dark Lords)

The Bards of Bone Plain by Patricia A. McKillip

Flora Seguna by Ysbeau Wilce

THE IMPOSSIBLE TASK
NOT YA
NOT ROMANCE [or minimal]
HAS FANTASY/SCI FCI [bla bla bla its fiction]
Maybe im bad at searching, or searching in the wrong places but this is what I want

Top of my head books I enjoyed
Wither, Skinned, Anna dressed in blood, The replacement, Skinned [Robin Wassermann] White cat [was okay~]

Top of my head books I disliked
Hush,Hush; House of night; 50 sheets of ********, Evermore , Matched, Divergent

Multiple suggestion would be appreciated mad , sometimes im picky >.<

Well, I don't know any of those books you mentioned so, I'm just gonna start listing.
March Upcountry by David Weber
Hero by John Ringo

The Castings trilogy by Pamela Freeman
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch
Prospero's Children by Jan Siegel
Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie
The Bards of Bone Plain by Patricia A. McKillip
Anasi's Boys by Neil Gaiman

That should give you some starting points and I'm sorry but, I think I put some romance in there. The two at the top are sci-fi and David Weber as well as John Ringo have many other great sci-fi books.

I am slowly adding all the books I read myself. Mind you I don't remember most.
Anyways, I am looking into some books already but libraries and money just aren't on my side. Can anyone help me pick and choose out the millions of books out there? I am a fan of comedy action informational mystery.
