What are some good books any of you have read recently?

My list of series and other books is running really short and I could really use the suggestions; I'm getting tired of reading the same things over and over again.

I'm open to almost every genre. Some of my favourite genres are Murder Mysteries, Paranormal Romance, and Fantasy.

I absolutely LOVE The Vampire Diaries book series.
It's one of the best ones I've read (and reread)

Also I recommend the Hush, Hush saga, fantastic!

If you don't want a series, I suggest the Immortal Rules, or the space between, both are absolutely amazing

Maybe The Maze Runner. Not sure if you'll like it. It's a good book. The ending is kinda weird but I heard it gets better in the series.

Dapper Reveler

I'd recommend stuff by Kurt Vonnegut and Ayn Rand at nearly the same time, it'd be pretty interesting to do it that way.

The Vampire Diaries were okay. It was a little too much geared towards teenagers for me, well, so it seemed.

And who are the authors of the Hush, Hush saga and the other two books you recommended?

Based on your favorite genres if you haven't read the Sookie Stackhouse novels yet I think they would fit. They are by Charlaine Harris.

I agree that Vonnegut is a great author to check out.

This series sounds perfect for what I was looking for! I can't believe I've never heard of them though. I'm usually right up to date with Vampire series/novels that come out.

I haven't heard of the Mortal Instruments series.
I started reading the Vampire Academy series and only got to I think the second book as that's the last one my school library had.
I've heard of the Bloodlines series, but never got around to reading it.
And isn't Maggie Stiefvater the same one who wrote that book Shiver?

The are quick reads that are fairly cheap, I think they are like $8 new.
If you want to read an easy, mindless read that's different, try the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. By no means is it amazing literature, but it kept me interested the whole way through.
