"Dustin and Drew, who were now singing at the top of their totally tonedeaf lungs."

Twilight. =]
Haha, I like the sound of the last one! XP Can't guess a single line, though. These things are almost impossible. o_o

edit: Was that really Twilight? XD
I'm reading several books right now, so I'll do this for each of them.

Book 1: The Edge Of The World by Kevin J. Anderson

Book 2: The Queen's b*****d by C.E. Murphy

I don't think mine are very popular. And I'm pretty sure it's Twilight.

"There were so many trees and shrubs I couldn't see its size at first. Where was the feel of the institution? I wondered nostalgically. Where were the chain-link fences, the metal detectors?"

I never would have guessed any of those. o.0
[Anila of Pellinor] Mm, wow, I've never heard of -any- of those. ._.

[-Miyu Sai-] I wouldn't know, I had to give my copy of it as a gift! XD

edit: Oh, oh, I see there. That's probably it. =P

XD I think I've read the Twilight series at least 4 times, so that's how I knew that one.

Mine:
Book 1: Empress by Karen Miller
Book 2: Witch Child by Celia Rees
Book 3: Marked by P.C and Kristin Cast
I'll grab the nearest one. Oh, and I put the book title in white.

Wow.
This one's a no-brainer, actually, as far as 'what series it is'. (though the actual book may be tricky):
"The Bene Gesserit seldom did anything casually." Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert.

Wow. Never heard of that one. Is it a good book?
[-Miyu Sai-] I have only read Twilight, and none of the others. Kind of weird, isn't it? XP I'm not even a Twilight hater!

Gosh, I've never heard of those. I feel isolated in my literary choices. o.o My two books were:

The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman - much more interesting series than I thought it would be, admittedly!

Catch-22 by Joseph Heller - well written, but I just can't seem to stay focused in reading it. >.>;;;

If you like the Dune series.
It can be a bit difficult, slogging through the philosophical bits for pages on end. I wish Paul was a bit less self-loathing at times.

I knew that writing style was familiar, just couldn't figure out why. I just finished The Golden Compass. =] He's a great writer.

Hmm. I think I'll check it out and see if it's for me.
