So who has read all four books?
I have, and I regret ever doing so. But I was forced to read them due to my friends stressing over how great it was. Honestly.. it was not. It was more of a waste of my time with fluffy reading than anything more. It lacked a plot, it lacked conflict.. it lacked everything a good book needs.. personally.
I think it's hard to enjoy something you are forced to do.
Very true, but that seems to be the case with many reasons behind people disliking Twilight. Many fans will force you to 're-read' the book if you said you didn't like it. The only parts I DID enjoy.. was when I was able to stop reading it and actually think. The book is.. well.. it's too easy of a read. It doesn't let you think about what would happen, it doesn't leave you guessing.
Plotless and boring. It's dry. I've been flamed before with people claiming there is a plot, and it leads up to Bella becoming a 'vampire'. That's not a plot. Really.. it's not people. A plot is a series of climaxes created to form a situation for all characters to be affected. And as we know.. a plot needs conflict.. and I failed to see any conflict let alone character development through the pages of the four books.
And the fourth one was just.. horrible. It was like someone gave Meyers a triple x rated magazine and let her go to town. I got half way through and felt like my mind was about to die from the messages it was trying to send. I'm sorry.. just.. no.
