I like Twilight because I find it interesting and easy to read. It's not the best book I have read but it's not the worst. I find it to be enjoyable. I enjoyed the movie and the summaries sparked my interest. I haven't gotten through Twilight but I will.

Alright, may I ask why you found the movie enjoyable?

I liked the music, during the baseball scene. Also it left me wanting more. I tend to like movies that I go and see because I have no expectations. Before watching the movie I didn't know much about Twilight. The movie made me want to read the book. I tend to watch movies then read the book. I did that for the princess bride, Christmas with the kranks, planet of the apes.

I'm actually really amazed that you got what the movie was even about. I thought that it was worse, but it might have been because they tried to follow the book completely.
You'll probably enjoy the book if you liked the movie. Although in my opinion, the book has nothing occurring until the last third, in which Meyer shoves as much in as possible.

I have enjoyed what I have read so far. About the movie, I followed it completely and I was never confused. Before I saw it my sister told me that she didn't think I would like it because t might be confusing if you hadn't read the book. I still wanted to go and see it and enjoyed it.

So they finally made a sticky. Well, that's good. Hopefully people will begin coming here instead of making spam threads.

I'm Anti.. Yes. But have have various reasons that I could rant about all day and all night long. But, last time I did that I was reported for god-knows-why. I guess it was because I had an opinion. After reading the books, I found them more of a teen drama than anything else. I don't think I could even vaguely title them as a 'vampire book' due to the fact that well.. they simply just are not vampires. Tell the truth, I don't care about the 'style' Meyers created and what not.

She broke the mold that vampires were. Creatures that have had their ways through out centuries tend to have guidelines to follow. And well, she destroyed it. Which is one of the few reasons I can't stand Twilight. Second is the fan base.. rabid and rather unbelievable in their actions toward people who don't like it. Third, Thesaurus Abuse and Purple Prose; WAY too much fluff and words that do not fit in context. Fourth, the 'main characters' are Mary Sues and Gary Stu respectively. There is nothing wrong, no flaws, they are 'quote-n-quote' perfect. Something I really can not stand.

Also the feminism really gets to me, the fact that every female NEEDS a man or what ever is quite nit picky to say the least. That and the whole 'Immediately falling in love' cliche... well, that doesn't really happen.. at all. It's false love in my opinion, and unhealthy to say the least.

I also see her writing style as this, a teenage girl got their hands on a thesaurus and started writing a fan fiction based on a wet dream. That basicly sums it up in my stand point for the Books.

*takes a breath*

I only saw the movie because all my friends were going to see so I thought I'd join them. Even if I didn't love the book and probably wasn't going to love the movie(which I didn't) it was still fun to hang out. Lol, we filled a whole row with just our group.

Anyway, I thought the movie cut out what little development Edward and Bella had with their relationship. Though they did do a better job with the plot, adding plot aspects early on rather than just cramming everything in at the last minute like the book did. Some of the effects were so bad it was actually funny, like the scene with Edward running through the trees, it was so cheesy you could piratically see the wire.

If I glow, bump here please!
To me, it seems as if Edward hardly has a personality. :|
He's stubborn, and somehow "charming". At least Jacob had a personality, but I'm not going to start comparing Jacob to Edward because I know some fangirls will probably spam me.
And I must agree that there is really nothing but Bella's scent that ever attracted him to her in the first place.
I didn't even bother to watch the movie.

ok wow people need to stop thinking so shallowly. Bella loves Edward because he is laid back and old fashon, sensitive, and smart. Those are the personality benifits, ... ok physical HELLO he's a vampire, strong, built beautiful to human eye, some how pulls of that hair due, fast, smells good, and yata yata.
Now Edward obviously likes Bella because she's not shallow, she doesn't give into people who look at her and say oh thats a nice piece of a** and go hit on her. She keeps to her self and observes others just like Angela or whatever that other kool chicks name was. Bella is small and squishy but not fat (whats not to love in that guys like being biger than the girl their with) and pertty. She doesn't go and try to flaunt her looks around and tease mike newton, ok she doesn't to jacob but no one like him anyway. Also she reads awsome books that Edward relates to and they listen to similar music. SHE'S NOT SUPERFICAL. She's shy which is cute and has a laid back personality. The thing I love best about her is that she thinks of others before herself. She's pertty old fashion herself and is still hasn't had sex just like Edward which is kool, she actually takes the time to like someone and get to know them. And yes he can't hear her thoughts which is always a benifit of being with someone. Surprise and randomness is the most awsome traits in a relationship. Ok and she smells good so what I don't know if I'd want to be with someone who makes a fire in my throat all the time so know thats not a reason he likes her. can't belive people are so superfical. Oh and to the girl who started this post the 3rd and 4th books are the best so get to reading them! The second books sucks but is made up for in the last two. And lol its so funny to read what the others think

Hey it's Princess here!Just like eveyone else I know,I love the twilight saga too.And just like the person wl Personho made this forum I always wonder why such a Beautiful man like Edward Cullen would like a totally oppisite,non-immortal girl like Isabella Swan(Bella).

It's not very imaginative to re-post the exact same thing. You could at the very least word it differently, because it loses its impact. Deleting your old post doesn't make this any newer.

I spend my days lurking round,
The writer's forum without a sound,
Until by chance I slip and fall,
Into a thread.
Thank god, a sticky. -kisses sticky- Today has been eventful for me...
