i am also a huge fan. I read the series twice. i thaught it was fantastic . smile Well im not so sure why Edward likes Bella but i think that the reason she likes him is because he's mysterious and she wants to know all about him and his secrets. in the end i do think its hard because this one guy you'v known for so long and grew up with all of a sudden likes you and this new guy that just came into your life wants him out of you head and life. Yes it is a very hard choice and i would be very stuck. For all those twilight fans out there praise new moon november 20 smile

the movies diddnt follow the books at all, which made it more confusing and stupid.

Yeah, they cut a few bits and mashed the important lines from those scenes into that
field trip bit, but other than that... What was so different?

I think the movie was rather good. Yes there are things I would change, but to say it didn't follow the story isn't the truth

Kinda what I was thinking.
I mean, the two ways to really NOT follow the books would be to either
cut the meadow scene or the baseball scene. One is the pivotal moment
in Edward and Bella's relationship of them finally being open about their
obsessions with each other, and the other is the entrance of the real conflict
of that segment of the series.

yess... i also agree. It was great that they kept those scenes considering they were important to the characters but I would have to say that I think they left out a very important scene that gives more "depth" to Bella that people who dont read the books dont see.

If you go on Meyer's site, she has her novel, Midnight Sun, which is in Edward's point of veiw. That explains why he likes Bella.

If a character's motivation can't be explained in four books THAT HE IS THE MAIN CHARACTER OF, then no, screw you.

GURREN LAGANN IS THE EPITOME OF MANLINESS.
THERE IS NO OTHER BEFORE IT.

Edward isnt the maion character.... Bella is.
and okkk its the "Epitome of Manliness" but I wasnt thinking that....

So, by that logic, I suppose our dear Uchiha friend isn't a main character.
And neither, it would seem, is anyone else except for the titular character of Naruto.
The Great Gatsby wasn't written from Gatsby's point of view, is he not a main character?

first book.... the scene when Bella and Edward are at lunch together ( I think its the first time they he asks her to eat with him) and Edward tells her that he wont go to Bio class today... but when she goes to class she faints because she smells Blood and Mike again has an oppurtunity to act all "Knight in Shinning Armor" and takes her to the Nurse Offices where Edward sees her, interjects and takes Bella instead. and they talk about how she hates the smell of blood and can smell it a mile away.

Okkk... they are all main characters but Twilight is in the form of First Person from Bella's point of view.... so I consider her to be "THE" main character.

What follows is a lot of waiting. First you'll get the waiting for the baby to be born and then you get some waiting for a fight that doesn't happen.
