Welcome to Gaia! ::

I thought it was okay. Before I read the book, I was told that it was about cannibalism, but I hardly found any in there. It was mostly about their civilization they created turning savage. It was quite a thriller...the one thing that puzzled me was who or what the "Lord of the Flies" was. I read the notes that the book had, and it said that it could represent the devil or some evil spirit-but it was a pretty okay book.

Spoiler? (highlight): Symbolically, it's Beelzebub. Beelzebub is translated to Lord of the Flies.

lol thnx
it's good to have info from both sides ^^
I can't believe it's not just Homer Simpson, of all people, who brought up The Lord Of The Flies, but even the likes of Perseus Jackson of all people, from the Percy Jackson And The Olympians novels, at least brought up The Lord Of The Flies once, in his earlier days. eek
I loved this book. It showed even kids can be evil. twisted

But seriously, it was creepy in a good way.
