I went into a bookstore (not going to name it, no need for a flame war) with every intention of coming out with any of the first books by Stephen Lawhead I could find. Instead I came out with The Princess Bride (FINALLY! heart ) and Deadpool: Wade Wilson's War.
Even though they finally had the first Sandman, that I've been looking for for over a year.

But I got the classic girl book and a bitchin' new comic, so yay me.

Eaters of the Dead by Michael Crichton. The movie 'The 13th Warrior' is based on it Though I didn't realize that until nearly half way through the book; the only connection I made at first was Beowulf/Grendel.

I also bought Snowflower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See. I've enjoyed her books, the general message is wonderful (friendship, love, sisterhood)

I went to the fair and ended up getting Quest for a Dragon by Glenn Knight... from Glenn Knight (there was an authors book in one of the buildings.) Had absolutely no intentions of buying anything but there he was, sitting and looking smug... asked me what I like to read... and suddenly I'm giving him 15 dollars.

I can tell you this much, if he's half as good at writing books as he as at selling them, I might have to go buy everything else he's written.

I pre-ordered The Fault in Our Stars by John Green a day or two ago. I hope it'll be good. I haven't read any of his other books.
