Help me find a specific book?

There's this book I read in either late elementary or early middle school and I loved it so much, but I cannot remember the title of it for the life of me. All I remember of the book was a few things:

1) A city named Toladaer. It was named that because backwards it's "Read a Lot."
2) A girl had ran away (I think) and lived with a talking wolf.
3) The wolf and girl ran out of bread and he would tell her to check again and there'd be more bread. This happened for days.
4) There may have been more animals living with her than the wolf, I can't remember.

I think these are all from the same book. Otherwise I'm mixing up #1 with #'s 2-4. If anyone knows what book I'm referencing, please let me know! Thank you for your time. biggrin
