[GAIA] Michael Scott Chilled Like a Margarita Hello, Mr. Scott. May I congratulate you on an enthralling series that not only entertains, but teaches people of my age and older a little something about mythology. Oh, and great use of Nereus, as an antagonist. Now whilst the topic of the thread says Chat, it seems customary to ask a question or two. So: 1. I sincerely doubt it, but could you say the name of the Elder who Dr. Dee serves? I know that will be answered negatively, but I'm itching to know. 2.What inspired you to mesh all mythologies together? 4. Did you begin with an end in mind, or do you not know how you will end it? 5. Why choose Gaia Online as an advertising point? 6. Did you select and know your historical/mythological characters before putting them in the story, or do you simply pick a character at random who seems interesting? 7. Do the colours/odours of characters' auras reflect their personality? There, now my post is justified. -Olivia. Hi Olivia, I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the series! I'll try and answer some of your questions now, and you're most welcome to come and join my forum Flamel Forum and talk about your theories, and ask more questions there! biggrin There's also podcasts for you to listen to all done by the team there, which are a lot of fun! And in the members only section, you'll often find exclusive hints and sometimes even excerpts there too. Answers 1) You're quite right.. I cannot answer that question,it would be a huge spoiler for all the readers! 2) There's a wealth of mythology for every country and religion, past and present, I love mythology and I wanted to bring some of my favourite characters to life for a new younger audience in a story world that they'd understand and hopefully enjoy. 3)..You didn't include a 3!! 4) I do know how the series ends, and I have done since I first planned the very beginning of book one! With a series as large as this (it will be 6 books in total) planning is absolutely necessary! 5) I chose Gaia as I enjoy interacting with people, and the age group that I write for (YA/MY) are the main age group present on Gaia, so it was the perfect place for me! 6) I choose characters that interest me, nothing in this series is random! Every character is chosen for a specific reason or talent that they have..can you figure out all of them? 7) Ah..now there's another question that I can't answer as it could be a spoiler..some of the members on my forum have some very good theories..you could try reading their ideas! XD Thanks for answering, and further thanks for the links. I await eagerly for the Necromancer, the Cover is stunning. Poor, poor Dee. I'd feel sorry for him, but he smells of Sulphur. Thanks again, Olivia. |
