Basically every character in the Harry Potter series (except Sirius, of course, because he was pretty cool).
Eragon (from Eragon) really ******** bothered me.
Tally (from the Uglies series) really bothered me. I don't know why.
Come to think about it, Shay bothered me too.
Carol Thompson (from Mosh Pit) bothered me; she seemed too perfect.
I really didn't like Vincent or Velvetine from that book either; Vincent was a p***k, and Velvetine sounded like a cheap whore at times.
I didn't like Ashley Wilkes (Gone With the Wind); he sounded like a real wimp, and I found him a bit boring.
I didn't really like Gerald O'Hara; he was a bit too loud and obnoxious for my liking.
Holden Caulfield. I really desperatly wanted to bash his face into a bed of nails. I hated him so much. He is one of those whiney people who think everything is so dumb that you just want to grab them by the ears and pull till they just have little bleeding holes in the sides of their heads... My goodness he bugs me so much.
Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter (who doesn't?)
Minerva from Artemis Fowl
Every single character from Eragon
And sometimes I want to beat down Darren Shan (the character) from The Saga of Darren Shan
Gandolf from The Lord of the Rings
There's many more I'd like to list, but they don't come to mind.
Mater Motley from Clive Barker's Abarat. I honestly think that poor Christopher would have had a chance at being a decent person if he hadn't been raised by that evil cow. And after reading Days of Magic, Nights of War, I didn't just want to beat her with a stick, I wanted to smash her with a hammer!
Also from Abarat, Bill Quakenbush. Candy would have done herself and her family a great favour by simply letting him drown.
Oh, and Jack from Lord of the Flies. I didn't want to beat him with a stick. I wanted to throw him down the deepest hole I could find and pour lava on him.
The main character in Go Ask Alice. She annoyed the hell outta me. "oooh, I'm a good child."...."nah-uh, now i'm a hippy. drugs and sex, bebeh!"
I mean, yeah, the book's supposed to teach lessons and give insight and whatnot....and it was really interesting and a great read - I highly reccomend it. But...I'm entitled to hate a main character and love a book, right?
everything in harry potter and anything from a vampire book.
could it be? have i just offended the entire Books forum?
