But, again, I am disappointed, because she doesn't defend or answer any of the questions that I asked about certain things that she said.

She mentions none of that. She strays off-Topic into the Reviewer that she responded to, so as to take any attention off of herself, does not discuss the obvious "Twi-Hard" mentality that's presented in her original post.

Kudos to the two replyers underneath Mr. McCrea.

Has anyone asked if they have any children? Preferably, if they have a daughter? Would they let them/her read this crap, that teaches kids that it's okay to screw college and get pregnant, oh, and don't worry because I'm sure your parents 'will be okay with it'?

Some points, yeah.
He's a lot more violent, a lot moodier, more conflicted... it's more fun to be in his head.
Doesn't quite make up for Breaking Dawn, but it's been interesting.

True. Listening to him gush about Bella is nasty too. But I like watching the dynamics of the Cullen family, and the moment in the Port Angeles chapter when he tries to keep himself from killing Bella's would-be rapists was oodles of fun.

Maybe she doesn't have the talent, then, to write a character with more than one dimension? I read her post, and although I can see (not understand, but see) why she's sad, the whole post seemed a little 1-8-00 WAAAAHMBULANCE! . It looks like just a ploy so that when it does come out, her fans are so greatful that they don't rip it up like they did the other.

She's learning about the harshness of writing. God help her when she gets the reviews for the movie. I have a feeling the haters will grow, if just a bit.

Now I don't really have the time and/or patience to wade through the astonishing amount of posts in this thread, but in an effort to understand the Twilight Hate I did read about 10 pages worth at the beginning. Something irritated me to no end, though, because I found quite a bit of ranting/complaining/irritation regarding the fact that all the vampires are extremely beautiful. People wanted ugly vampires, or even just some nice, normal or average looking vampires. It also seemed like people were taking the lack of ugly vampires as a personal affront, like Ms. Meyer thought perfection HAD to be beautiful or if you weren't beautiful you weren't worth loving.

And yet, no one actually READ the book and figured out the actual reason the vampires are so beautiful, is that they are designed to be incredibly physically attractive so they can ATTRACT THEIR PREY. The beauty is part of what draws people to them, so they can feast on their blood, if they were so inclined.

Not because un-beautiful people "aren't worth loving".

A quote from page 263 of Twilight to demonstrate... "I'm the world's best predator, aren't I? Everything about me invites you in - my voice, my face, even my smell!"
