I was renting Slumdog Millionaire last night (which by the way, deserved the Oscars by far), and the lady signing out the movie for me offered to me if I wanted to rent Twilight as well, because she thought I might "like it". My parents were snickering behind me because of that, of course. So I just told her: "Yeah, I definitely love that steaming pile of ---" And she got this look on her face I knew she was a Twitard, so I said: "-- no, no thank you."


Yay! I avoided unnecessary late fees because I didn't offend a Twitard!

OHSNAP. Thanks for reviewing that book, btw. I was unsure about it, but I think it's worth seeing if my library has a copy. Maybe I'm just a nit-picky jerk, but the spelling 'vampyre' irks me. Probably because when I was in middle school, every other asinine little 'goth' kid was like, "OMG guiz, I'm a vampyre/vampyr. with a Y."

As for getting kicked by a Twitard, I can't help but find that lulzy (hope it didn't hurt, though). What happened? rofl

I think you overestimated the amount of people who actually like the book. It isn't I'm positive as much as you assume.
Why do we care? Because underneath it's cuteypie exterior the book is a pile of s**t and a bad representation to young men and women about love and relationships and grammar and writing ect ect.

Weeeeell, they had a MASSIVE Twilight display. rolleyes And I kind of snickered about it while I was sitting nearby, reading. Unfortunately, a 15 year old (estimating) Twitard was in earshot. THE FOLLOWING IS A TRUE RECOLLECTION OF EVENTS.

Me: *snicker and headshake at Twilight display*
Twitard (TT): What was that for?

TT: That laugh. Don't you like Twilight?

Yeah, I was kinda mad by this point. So I tailed her. SHE WAS WITH HER MOM. I approached the mom.

Me: Excuse me, ma'am, but I think your daughter owes me an apology.
TT: I don't owe you anything.
Nice Lady (AKA NL, the Twitard's mom): Shh, young lady. (to me) Why is that?
Me: She kicked me in the leg.
NL: What?! *looks to her daughter* Is this true?
TT: She was dissing Twilight! I couldn't just stand there and take it. I wouldn't be a real fan!
NL: I don't care, you apologize to this young lady right now!

NL: Then you're grounded.

The Nice Lady offered to buy the book I was carrying (City of Glass hardcover) as an apology, but I declined. I just told her to sit down with her daughter and explain that Twilight is just a book. She promised she would.
