I seriously don't know why you guys are bugging about Twilight, o.e'
read the first post. It outlines quite nicely why we dislike Twilight and they are all logical and rational reasons to dislike a work, regardless of what medium that work is made in.

Alot of work was put into it and it was not made for people to hate.
Allot of work? Don't make me laugh! Meyer wrote it after waking up from a wet-dream (and if you don't know what that is then you're not old enough to be reading Twilight). She wrote it so that she would have something to fap to when her husband wasn't home. I bet you didn't know that the book was rejected by three different publishers before it finally got published and the one that did publish it was a friend of hers that only published it out of pity.

Stephanie Meyer was just tyring to get the best writing out there and after all her hard work and determination, people end up hating it.
Seriously.. -.-
Best writing out there? I've stopped laughing and am now face-palming passionately. The book is rife with misspellings, grammar errors and incorrect word usage (which BTW is my biggest pet-peeve)! I mean come on, she doesn't know the difference between a Prologue and a Preface! scream

plus twilight and breaking dawn are the same time

What does that mean?

Up Above the Northern Lights
dawn and twilight are the same time of day

Twilight happens right after the sun goes down, not at dawn.

(Sorry, I knitpick...)

Erm... the "twilight hours" can be both in the morning and in the evening so technically you're both right. The term "twilight" actually refers to the half-light of those times rather than the times themselves.

Team Lonely Wolves!

Kicking a** since 1991!
Because REAL men don't F-ing sparkle! I'd take prudish Andy Bogard over whiny Sparkle-tard any day!

actually to be nitpicky she is half-right since she said it does not happen at dawn
and im completely right because i said its around the same time, i did not say it could only happen there, also i knew that it happens at dusk, but i was talking about dawn
(heh im just messing don't look to deep into that)

cant say thought the movie was stupid yeah good graphics so what dont liek it that much

The best? Please dear. She barely spent 12 months on one of her books so therefore, she did not work hard. And if she was trying to put her best writing out there for the world to read, she should've edited and edited until it became flawless, but then again, she didn't.

Need a roleplay partner? I'm your girl! Just send a PM if you're interested. ;D
I want to kick someone right now...

I don't know why...

xD

On a slightly better note, I've taken the comments about how another species--vampire--would have to evolve to become what they are. Although I still believe intelligence is needed for a species like that, it does make sense that turkeys drown in the rain at times. Which is very sad, but they're still not vampires.

Guys, I need some opinions... Wait, I forgot my question.... damnit... I'll say it again later. Oh well.

I remember reading an interview where she said she edits during the day, because it's the 'easier' part of writing. *cough*

Kind of gives the impression she thinks editing means running it through a spell-check rolleyes

And spellcheck ONLY. It seems that, for all the editing, she missed a completely ridiculous amount of errors both in general fiction writing and in grammar. I mean, "chagrined furry?" Seriously.

Why yes, I do think you're an idiot. Care to prove me wrong?

It is NOT one of the easier parts of the writing. In difficulty, it goes--from most difficult to least--, in my opinion...

Detailed Brainstorming(working out plot, characters, and how everything fits together), Editting(grammar, spelling, sentance structure, flow, reading views, mis-matchings, etc. etc.), Writing(getting it down on paper), Basic Brainstorming (first idea that inspired you to write it)

DISCUSSION QUESTION.

Okay, I'm curious... is there a difference in literary capasity and intelligence in Twi-haters and Twi-lovers? Every troll that likes Twilight that's come in here so far has been fairly illiterate. Does that have to do with why they like it? Every person complaining about it has a fairly high literary level. Again, does that have anything to do with why they hate it?

Discuss. I'm not quite sure of it, so I want to here some other opinions.

obligatory witty comment

@Chaotic: True, but so are many of the other fans I have met. Trolls are just the things we meet most often in these threads.

Hail the truly hot vampires who make your mouth water...
