There was nothing TO the movie, nothing really HAPPENED, it was just a bunch of "omg edward your so fast" and "omg Edward you are so shineh" Ive never read the books anyhow, but the movie was nothing like how everyone makes the books sound. I only wacthed the movie becase my cousins made me >:O

Then it's exactly like the book. Bella was the narrator and every time Edward came in, or every time she thought of him it was always "he's so gorgeous" "he's like a marble statue" "his skin is so pretty and white" and whatnot.
Meyer is just such a shallow author that she can only describe characters in terms of appearance and never thought or emotion. She's all sparkles and grace but no depth.
^That is not good...and Mead is an authoress who managed to describe her cast in terms of both emotions and appearance, but apart from Christian Ozera and Lissa Dragomir of the Vampire Academy novels, why can i only recall the Descriptions?

Yep, but methinks she learned how to write from the old Harlequin novels...But, if you tell her that Edward is abusive, she'll act like your average fan-fic writer whose bullshit gets called out and says, "It hurts me when people make accusations like that!"

Doesn't she have her brother sort through her email so he can throw out anything that criticizes her work, making sure she only gets the compliments and fan mail?

Yeah, but this was in one of the Q&A questions at one of her book signings. So her guarddog, I mean, brother , couldn't block it.
Truth be told, it's not so much the series I dislike as it is some of the fans. Seriously, I've encountered several groups of fans online that are overbearingly obsessed with the series and insist that it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. One note of criticism and they attack you like a pack of ravenous wolves. Heck, I might actually be more inclined to actually read the friggin' books if it weren't for some of the fans.

And seriously, whoever the heck got the idea of dipping Cedric Diggory in a vat of glitter and calling him a vampire musta been smoking some good stuff. Really, I've had enough of his effeminate self in Harry Potter that I don't need to see him on a movie trailer every time I turn on the TV.

I like this forum because at least the first post points out some serious flaws in the series other than "it's stupid".

I know exactly what you mean with the fan's... big turn off. Tho I did read all of the books. I went to a... idk waiting party for the movie (one of my best friends is unfortunately a BIG Twilight fan)... eek >.>

@ but I liked him as Cedric >w< and is it just me, but he didn't even sparkle that much in the movie (maybe I was too occupied with holding in my laughter in a very crowded theater)

I was tempted to just send some really abusive mail to SMeyer and hope that her brother sues me. My defence will be:
"Your honor, I was trying to send her criticism and she refuses to listen. Thus then end result came to this."
Good defence or not?
Bad defense. That's like when murderers try and say it was the victims fault.

I knew it. There goes that plan. *sighs* My newspaper is going to waste at least two pages for the New Moon poster as a souvenir and just today they did a whole article on a bunch of "mums" doing a gathering of fans for Twilight. Waste of resources much?
I'm sorry, Kurokawa. That must be awful.
That's truely sickening...it's like the ungodly long Bloody Tulip preview I saw >.<. That, and the Ulalume documentary about f**king New Moon.
