On a happy note, there's a radio station out where I live called JACK that doesn't actually have DJs (they just play short snippets of people talking every few songs -- I think it's messages left by callers, but it could just be set up to sound like that). I've heard an amazing one a few times lately:

She did, yes. But she was probably one of those people that squeaked by in their major with a C or lower. That, and some colleges are very lax about their graduation policies...more specifically a uni that isn't widely accredited. Before reading about SMeyer, I had never heard of her college (in fact, I forget the name) soooo, I doubt it's anywhere near the standards of any of the big schools (Ivy League aside).

I hate going into the Supernatural forum now. Everything is vampires and werewolves and over half of those vampire and werewolf topics are just gushing over Edward and Jacob. I am kinda hating Gaia at the moment.

Yeah, I went into one of those vampire threads and someone was asking if vampires were real and someone said "I wish I was a sexy vampire! My life is so boring!". While vampires have been seen as sexy before Twilight, Twilight has caused the idea of sexy vampirism among teen girls...

I know, Mako. And I'm happy for the books forum. But at the same time I'd kinda like to talk about the supernatural (in general) without all these annoying tards popping in and screaming that Edward and/or Jacob is the best.

What really gets me is when they "correct" other people's vampire lore. Since when did Twilight become the absolute text on vampires? Since when did Meyer become the absolute authority on vampires?

I don't even like vampires and it bothers me!

People think that because vampires are fictional creatures, that they can do literally whatever they want with them. By this logic, I can make my mermaids dog-lizard hybrid creatures that explode when they touch water. smile You know, just to prove a point. Granted, you can change creatures to some degree. Some more than others, because some creatures, like vampires and dragons, have different versions from different cultures from different parts of the world. But there's only so far you can go before it just gets stupid. Meyer's vampires were nothing like most vampires I've heard of. "Sparkling" sounds like something a small child would make up.

Exactly. Besides, remember when the first movie came out? A lot of book fans who were royally pissed off at Breaking Dawn got even MORE pissed off when they say the first movie.
