Dont get me wrong I Luuurve Twilight, but Im reading it now...

For the millionth time.

Anyone have any suggestions for any other

vampire book that is anything interesting?

Im desperate I need a good book to read.
For vampire books I liked the Vampire Kisses series, The Vampire Diaries, and one of my friends read a book called Blue Blood (I think) anout some vampires in New York.
Peeps, by Scott Westerfeld. It's kind of a scientific version of the old vampire legend so it has a certain...plausibility to it that I find interesting. There's also a sequel to it that I haven't read yet called The Last Days. Then, of course, there's the Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series, but those are kind of NC-17 in some books. Also lots of violence, lots of gore, lots of...clichés. But they're worth a try.
Of Saints and Shadows by Christopher Golden. His Shadow Saga is the best.
In The Forest Of The Night, Demon In My View, Shattered Mirror, and Midnight Predator all by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, The Silver Kiss by Anette Curtis Klause, the Undead and Unwed series by Mary Janice Davidson is really good but it's geared more toward romance. Bloodsucking Fiends and You Suck by Christopher Moore if you want comedy. The Southern Vampire series by Charlene Harris (the first book is Dead Until Dark).
Cirque du Freak

Read the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. They are to die for.
Oh boy do I know a lot of vampire books.
There's a little trilogy by Sebastian Rook called the Vampire Plagues, it's got a foot in ancient history.
Another little trilogy by Caroline B. Cooney called The Vampire's Promise. The vampire is actually *gasp* a bad guy!!! The books are Deadly Offer, Evil Returns, and Fatal Bargain.
That Blue Bloods book mentioned before is by Melissa De La Cruz, and there are two out with a third coming.
Look For Me By Moonlight by Mary Downing Hahn seemed like just another vampire love story until you get to the plot twist. It's good.
Vampire Hunter D series. I love it, and there are so many books it'll leave your head spinning. Seriously, like the tenth book is coming out in English soon I think. The plotlines are always different and interesting, and it's not a smut book. They're by Hideyuki Kikuchi.
The other ones I know either I can't remember or have been said. :/
But Anne Rice's books are ALWAYS good. heart

Those Who Hunt the Night and the sequel, Traveling with the Dead by Barbra Hambley. I much preferred them to Twilight - not so much romance, though Ysidro is awesome. whee

Plus, people already mentioned Cirque du Freak and Amelia Atwater-Rhodes and Anne Rice...

Oh, Terry Pratchett's Carpe Jugulum is just funny. xd
It's by R.L. Stine and there are only two books.
Dangerous Girls

IF you want to be stuck to a book and never want to leave their world, read THE BLACK DAGGER BROTHERHOOD. The best vampire adult series i have ever read. Seriously, check it out.

The Silver Kiss is one of my faves! Dangerous girls vol 1 for R.L Stine is ok too.
