Hey, would you mind telling me how you liked The Young World when you're finished with it? I've been eyeing it for a while now, but I feel like the reviews are pretty mixed, and I was looking thru your 2014 book challenge list (ahhh, is that creepy? I'm sorry!), and we seem to have pretty similar tastes, so I feel like I'd trust your opinion more than some random people on Goodreads!

(I had originally thought that I could start off the year with three books by reading this, but the Note on the Text kinda foiled that: "LOTR is often erroneously called a trilogy, but it is in fact a single novel consisting of six books, sometimes published in three volumes" Oh well, I tend to read and enjoy a lot of giant books anyway. )
