3. Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm glad I gave paranormal romance a chance. I think Klause improved greatly with this more recent novel of hers.

Total: 3/40

Oh!! GREAT book!! I read the book long before they even thought about the movie! SO much better on all sorts of levels than the book! They totally tore up the plot with that movie!

What did you think of the book?

I loved the novel. I have seen the movie, and they're, like, nothing alike from what I recall. Anyway, I think Klause has a good handle on characters and plot. smile

I will have to pick up one of her works again. Got one you would recommend? Didnt she do a vampire novel, too?

Yep! I read her vampire novel (or one of them, if she's done more). It was Silver Kiss. It tugged at my heartstrings, especially the storyline involving the main character's mom. The main character, Zoe, was likable and relatable, but not as fleshed out as Vivian in Blood and Chocolate. I plan to buy Alien Secrets by her next; aliens intrigue me very much.

No, it's not. They weren't funny or entertaining. Not even in a "let's have a nice laugh at them" kind of way. It was just horrible. I can't believe there are four or five of these books out. It blows my mind that someone would find them fit for publishing. > n>

That sounds... Ugly. Both series sounds like absolute wastes. lol Now I know that Monster High wasn't some one off thing. I guess that's all she does know what to write about. Rude girls being bitchy and catty to one another. Ugh. That reminds me, I thought Jackson/Holt were both extremely annoying. Especially Holt. Every time he was around I questioned why any one of these girls might like him. Then I remember that everyone in this book was shallow and not very bright.

Ugly is the best way to describe Lisi Harrison's books. "Pretty" girls with ugly attitudes and personalities. The boys in the books really serve as nothing more than another way for the girls to belittle and compete with one another. They don't even know anything about these boys. They just think they're cute, and know whichever girl gets whichever boy is the hottest wins. Sadly, I do remember people being like that when I went to high school... and even middle school a bit.

I think I will count them. I mean, reading is better than not reading! And the amount of short stories I'm not counting (for class) would eventually equal my fanfic reading anyway. :3

Right on! I was considering counting fanfiction as well. I've thought about it for years, but this would be the first year I would actually add it into my list. I read Degrassi fanfic that was like 30 freaking chapters.

I'm loving the Neverending Story but I swear it's hardly anything like the movies. Much more real and even in some senses, could be scarier!
