My boyfriend of 14 months went to my senior prom this past May 2nd. (I attended his last year.)
A few months ago, he moved to Rhode Island (I'm in western CT) to work and get out of his house.
So, we weren't even sure if he could make it to prom.
On the second to last day to buy tickets, he finally says, after a month of trying to find out, "I can go." Ok so, gotta get the tickets. Thankfully, I had bought a dress just in case I was going stag.
We get the tickets and train/sleeping arrangements in order, and he leaves around 10am on Friday. The prom is that same Friday at 7pm.
I text him in the morning, making sure he's awake and won't miss the train.
He doesn't, so I wait for a text to tell me he's back in CT & off the train.
Around noon, I get the text saying...
"im off the train"
Five minutes later...
"i forgot my effing tux"
... gonk
He had to get his cousin to drive halfway here, and he had to drive halfway back.
But in the end, he got the tux and was ready to go in time.
(He forgot the flowers at his house when he came to pick me up. It just wasn't his day.)
