Why does Black History Month get so much attention?

Asian/Pacific Heritage- May
Jewish Heritage Month- May

Irish-American Heritage Month - March

That's a very good question.I'm just guessing cause of the long period of slavery and then blacks overcoming and doing different type of things.Being the 1st of different occupations. Breaking down the barriers. They've worked hard and long to be able to do something like that and to let the other generations of people once they pass on that they're next generation will be able to have opportunities and such. I know some of the history months that should deserve better attention than what they have now.Like Native Americans and Asians.

And since you know so ******** much, you should know that Native American History is celebrated but considering the time frame, there isn't much documentation. I know this first hand from when I was looking at Native American History. They couldn't fight the way blacks did and so their voices weren't heard. They were silenced by the WHITE government. Blacks however, took every opporunity to make it known. I don't remember the Native American escaping slavery. Or doing Boycotts. Or taking action against such injustices. SECONDLY if you think Native American history should get more attention, go celebrate it. I sure as ******** do, seeing as I have Native American family members.
