Why are we fighting?

Ok look these are the basics of this whole thing:
1. We agree that we should have equality.
2. There is a White History Month, Asian History Month, Hispanic History month etc.
3. This month isn't about slavery, It's about Feb. 1926 being the first time that African American History was accepted into our textbooks.
4. It's okay to not "celebrate" BHM but you shouldn't criticize others who do.
5. Nobody owes anyone for what our ancestors did.
6. This isn't a place to bash BHM.
7. We agree slavery was wrong.
8. The other culture and race's months would be more well known if people made it important.
9. This is a time to celebrate the strength of a culture and race, not to remember the hurt caused by ignorance and racism.
10. Gaia needs to set some guidelines for this forum and the mods need to be a little more vigilant of the posts.
ALSO PEOPLE WHO SAY THAT ALL CULTURES SHOULD BE EMBRACED OR NONE AT ALL ARE THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF RACIST. THANK YOU!! <3

Unfortunately there isn't a lot of actual information flooding this forum.

There are a lot of things that I'd like to ask questions about but I'm sure it would just be hit up by trolls & haters. Or they would be taken as racist questions when in all honesty, they wouldn't be meant that way.

People are on here fighting/starting crap/saying dumb things just to say them. It's almost like the GD and ED fused together with a negative aura, except now it's about Black people and the month itself. I expected it (former GDer from 2007) and can't say I'm really that shocked. Since it's online, you know how it goes. Some people just like to flex their immaturity muscles for fun.
