White people just can not understand WHY there would have to be an ENTIRE MONTH celebrating JUST ONE race of people.

White people conveniently overlook the many reasons why that's so stupid, not to mention racist and completely ignorant of history.

First, examine the common holidays and their places of origin. Things like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day... Think of how ******** white those things are. They are the holidays of white people. The holidays that get school closed, "bank" holidays, are all the celebrations of white, religious cultures. "Ethnic" holidays are widely ignored, and you can only name a couple of them, can't you? Kwanzaa. Cinco del Mayo. The Day of the Dead, perhaps. And that's all they get, isn't it? But that's a tiny issue, tangential off the main point...

Every month is white history month, when you think about it, isn't it? When you consider the works that have gone behind shaping our history to be what it is today, don't you cute little white people who say things like "why isn't there a white history months???" think of aaaaall the things white people have done to merit a month for their history? Don't you think of how white people built America and white people brought civilization to people?

All the things to shape our history and further white culture, like the enslavement and trafficking of African peoples, which is only the latest in an enormously huge list of atrocities white people have inflicted upon the people unfortunate enough to inhabit the rest of the world. All the forced homegenization, where we stripped indigenous peoples of their histories and forced them to become like us after invading their homeland and taking it from them piece by piece.

If we are to have a White History Month, then I think it should be dedicated to why we DON'T celebrate white history.

We have a Black History Month because some white people feel as though we should apologize for the atrocities we have committed, realize that black people are deserving of attention, of inclusion into the history books. To show that there is no foundation for the ridiculous and awful stereotypes that racists think are true.

So rather than not have a Black History Month, I think we should have a few more months dedicated to the cultures that white people have tried to extinguish and assimilate. How about Latin American History Month? First Nations History Month? And why stop with the Americas? How about all the cultures that European white people have destroyed and absorbed?
