The forest of Grimmwood has long been known to provide shelter to a vast assortment of strange and mythical creatures both of light and of dark. Nestled deep at the heart of the forest, a sleepy yet relatively large village is shielded from the outside by high walls, guarding the inhabitants from the dangerous beasts that lurk about just out of sight within the shadows cast by tall trees that not even the sun can dispel. It is there within the village that humans and inhumans have attempted to live in peace for centuries. A task that is easier said than done. The inhabitants do not know what lies beyond the forest, only that it stretches on for miles to the north, west, south, and is cut off by dangerous and nearly impassible mountains to the north-east. The mountains are just about as dangerous as the forest itself, however this danger rarely heads south to the farmland just north of the village.

Grimmwood is now under the dark lord Tirac's complete control with military occupying the village and his dark and foreboding fortress; Midnight Castle standing in the far west. Less and less stand between him and his goal to snuff out the sun, ushering in the night that never ends. With the opposite magic to his own separated from it's wielder, it would now appear he is all but unstoppable and it only seems like a matter of time before his final conquest takes away the very day from the world.

Age: Adult. Most likely a 20-37 year old equivalent
Character race: Dark Centaur
Bio: Tirac at one time had a very promising desire and plan to conquer the world and subdue all light by using the rainbow of Darkness to make the night last forever, however his attempts were thwarted by a human girl and now he keeps a low profile because his home and all his empire had been destroyed. He is very resentful about this and often is reminded of his defeat.
Personality: Tirac will kill anyone and anything that angers him. Naturally, he has a very wild and ferocious anger which is easily provoked. Tirac has a very strong hatred for innocence and enjoys seeing it corrupted, especially at his own hand. His greatest hatred is light, in particular; rainbows. Naturally, light is a powerful force against him. Tirac also hates fellow mythic equines and humans, especially children.
Inventory: The only things Tirac owns are his steel shoes, his belt, wrist guards, chest armor and last but not least, the Rainbow of Darkness. A mythical rainbow made of pure evil magic and shadow energy bound to reside within a drawstring satchel. The rainbow has the ability to transform innocent, pure-hearted animals into obedient, satanic monster slaves. Humans can also fall victim to this fate if not careful.

Tirac continued washing himself by rolling in the lake to the north. Soon his soft navy coat was all clean and shiny from the cool, clear water. The centaur yawned contently, revealing his long, sharp fangs and lay in the water, his flanks rising and falling with each breath. It was night now, he was happy. Night was his time, nothing felt more comfortable than the shadows free of the sun. His bright, predatory yellow eyes scanned the surrounding forest. Then, Tirac arose, shaking himself starting with his head working down to where his human half met his equine one and then kicking out with one hind leg and then the other. His pelt then fluffed up, giving him an almost cuddly appearance. He ran his claws through his mane and sighed, letting water droplets drip from his fur.

Bio: Quinn is the old master of an apothecary who was a mercenary in his youth. He's spirited for an old fart and has a good sense of humor, often more dirty than what he would appear to have. Essentially, he can come across as an unassuming old man but really? He's cray cray and hilurious.

Bio: Mora is a laid back individual with a love of food and tailcoats. She has a really severe addiction to peaches and smoke cigarettes, much to their grandfather Quinn's chagrin. She wields a boomerang and occaisonally magic and like to travel in pixie form due to the fast nature of said form and how travel sized they become. Much like jer grampy Quinn, she's damn chill but is capable of having a joking streak.

Bio: Chani-Cholai hails from a par off planet where she was a great hunter of Beings. Her people were the very first humans that all others originated from, and ancient race on a planet covered with mountains, deep volcanoes, and limited water. They call themselves the Ancient Humans, and that has how it always had been. This planet was riddled with rips in the universal fabric. Her kind has a society only dedicated to protecting the Greater World by barbarically ripping apart beings, slaying monsters, and banishing Ancient Gods. Chani-Cholai was banishing a God of great terror, when at the last moment before he was trapped away for a while, he grabbed Chani-Cholai by the leg and launched her into a portal rip. Chani-Cholai appeared unconscious in this Forest. A young married couple nearby have been taking care of her after finding her in their orchard. When she woke up she couldn't understand their language, but as she has been repairing her health and staying with this couple, she has learned a few phrases and words. Now she is traveling, hoping to find a place in this world, for she can never return.
