Welcome to Gaia! ::

The knight swore silently as she hurried to get the rest of her armor on. Why did these things have to have so many straps? She shot a glare at Diago as he went past, giving a satisfied nod when she saw that his eyes were closed. Finally, she was back in full armor, aside from the missing shoulder piece.

Hand on her sword hilt, she went to Diago, raising a brow.
"You really don't have any right to be here in the first place, you know," the knight said. "My first suggestion to you would be to hop back out of that hole in the wall. In fact, there's not many things that you've done to get on my good side - You kill my guards, you destroy part of my armor, you go crazy and attack Cere and the King of Locrym, you make a hole in the wall of a bathing house, and now you think you can block our path?"
Her grip tightened on her sword hilt in irritation.
"What authority do you have? And what makes you think that it's Adeodatus out there?"

She paused when the princess spoke to her, blinking perplexedly a few times. Either Cere didn't have a proper grasp on the situation, or both ranger and knight were overreacting. Relaxing her stance slightly, she looked puzzled.
"Er...if your highness wishes to," she replied, trying to process the fact that the princess wanted to play with her hair.

Diago Tasume the Ranger

Diago smiles. "The hole in the wall was an accident, i was going for the royal library here. The normal one had nothing of importance to me finding something, but.." He opens his eye's and looks right at Cere then looks away. "It had other knowledge that helps.." He looks at the wall he made the hole in the wall. 'Will i be able to control the power of these swords?' He looks back at Alex. "I swear to you i saw nothing of importance when i fell through that wall either." He then coughs a bit and continues to look away. "By the way, the water was a bit chilly..."

Climbing onto the seating she had sat on previously she leaned over Alex and pulled her hair out from her armor, combing her fingers through the dark (that's what I gather from the picture) tresses. "Alex... I do think Adeo is out there... I thought I heard him, but I wasn't going out there in a bathing towel.. That would be rude, right?" Cere asked, picking her hair up again, twisting it so she could wrap the ribbon around the bundle into a high ponytail. After making a bow as a finishing touch Cere hopped down smiling up to Alex. "If Adeo is here... Even if it's bad, I'm sure we'll be okay." Her sapphires shifted to meet with the other woman's as her smile warmed.

Stepping back, she looked to Diago. "We should check it out... I'm almost certain I heard our dear friend's voice.." Cere exclaimed softly, approaching Diago further. If he stepped out of the way, she would pull the door open slowly and creep out as if not to give her presence away just yet. Stealthily she'd tip-toe down the hall as she approached the busted door to the throne room, only to find Adeodatus, and the king in some kind of quarrel. Something was very strange about this... The room wasn't lit to well by candle, or magic... However it was glowing from something....snow like... It was eerie.. It was perfect summer weather, not to hot.. And certainly not cold enough for snow to fall! But at that... it was coming from the ceiling.

Pulling her eyes from that scene, she looked straight ahead, only to see... Adeodatus? Something... was off. Well, his clothing was, but that's not at all what she was thinking about. His appearance was totally changed and the air in the room was heavy with a strange powerful energy.

((once again no pictures XD))

Standing perfectly still Adeodatus watched as Levoathean came barreling toward him with speed that was almost hard to keep up with, almost. When the large man drew his blade back and swung only then did Adeo move rather fast out of the way and still did not draw his blade to the king. Another swing after another came towards the dark hylian and he kept shifting his weight and shuffling his feet along the ground to avoid them. That is until Levoathean drilled a swift left hook into his cheek.

This hit forced his body to lean back a bit with the kings fist still firmly planted on his cheek. Turning his head a little and smiling softly his eyes began to turn a deep red that was more black than anything with an ink like texture across it. Blood slowly fell from them and along his face and strips of his hair turned red.

Lev looked upon this with a wide expression ranging from pride, all the way down to fear. A silent shift sent Adeo's blade straight up and severed Lev's left arm completely and sent it flying into the air, and caused Lev to stagger back holding his severed area with the hand that was also holding his blade.

"You've got it! Come on now Adeodatus you want her as your own, and I'm in your way! Take the Princess from me if you can" Laughing softly he stood straight and looked at Adeodatus: a man who was now spawning very large, and very transparent white wings that burst into nothing as if they were never there. "Hmph. You know as well as I do it's foolish to love a Hylian dark child." With that said Lev quickly cut the distance between the two of them and delivered a normally devastating blow to Adeo's mid section and sent him high up into the air almost hitting the roof.

Following up with this Lev darted up into the air and spun his blade to cut the young one in half. Curling his own blade back Adeodatus swung his arm and punched into the kings blade stopping it in it's tracks. His knuckles began to bleed but the sword did not cut through the fist. Staring at the king he didn't smile or say anything as they fell only watched his shock. Opening his hand and gripping his blade he tossed him to the ground and lifted his left hand.

The white flakes that were falling quickly gathered at his hand and he slid them along his blade creating a new thin blade. As he did this and while other white flakes fell he spoke. And again his voice sounded like two different people speaking through him: a man with a deep growl, and a soft spoken gentle men. "Even if it's foolish I wont stop because of that." When the blade was finished he moved quickly and rammed it into the kings chest.

Pulling back on the handle he lifted the kings body into the air and yanked his blade out only to send it spiraling many times back into the man and generating multiple holes within him. Coming to a stop and watching him fall he didn't say a word, but took a deep breath and ran his left hand through his hair.

"I am Adeodatus the Dark Hylian, and who I love is my choice king..." Looking around for his clothing which was now completely covered by the white substance so he had no idea as to where they were. "What is it with all this power?...I don't get it..." These were his silent thoughts as he dug through the area to find his clothing. "Damn it...where are my pants?" He didn't even seem effected by the fact the king was laying not too far from him bleeding on the floor. The coughs and wheezes alone let him know that the king was in fact not dead.
Alex kept a neutral expression while the princess fiddled with her hair. All this talk of Adeodatus was making her nervous. If he was out there and fighting, who was he fighting and what had he been doing all this time? When Cere finished, the knight ran a hand slowly over the top of her head to find out what the princess had done. Satisfied that she hadn't given her pigtails or something equally embarrassing, she gave a small nod of approval

If Cere managed to get by Diago, Alex would follow her, lightly laying a hand on the ranger's shoulder as she passed. Silently making her way down the hallway, the knight moved slightly in front of the princess to protect her in case something came at them. Knuckles white on her sword hilt, her eyes narrowed as she eyed the scene through the shattered doors.

The knight had never seen the Dark Hylian move like that - she had never seen anybody move like that. Gritting her teeth, she put an arm in front of Cere to discourage her from running to him. It seemed like something this crazy princess would do. Alex could only wait to see what would happen next. Her duty was to protect the princess - The King of Locyrm was not exactly under her jurisdiction. However, if Cere was with the King's murderer - possibly even romantically involved - it could mean war between the kingdoms.

Diago Tasume the Ranger

Diago watches them walk by him and out there. He sighs and walks back for the hole in the wall. "Good luck..." He jumps out the hole and slides along the wall til he gets near the top of the other wall. He jumps when he gets close enough and lands on top of the wall and rolls off the other side landing with a thud on his feet. He starts walking off towards Hells Pass. He wondered if he could catch up with his master.

Cere turned her head to Alex once she noticed the woman had stepped in front of her. Hopefully this would have pulled her gaze away from the scene before her long enough for her not to see the Kings death. Unfortunately that was not the case, and in fact when she turned to witness what was happening before them the king was being punctured by Adeodatus's blade like a spear through the wind. With each strike she winced, cringed and shed a silent tear colliding with whimpers that fell from her lips.

Shivering she reached out and screamed. "Adeo No!" That was all she could do with Alex's arm suppressing her body from moving any further. Almost falling down she held onto her knights arm crying against the armor asking gently. "Why?...why did he?..." She didn't understand what just happened, and in a way she didn't want to. Mainly because she didn't want to believe it happened at all. There was no denying the fact that it had happened however, and in the midst of all of this she couldn't help but believe that it was her fault.

He had been hearing feet moving around in the distance but thought nothing of it other than some subjects moving around and shuffling from seeing their king fight and die. Then he heard soft laughter and tilted his head to look behind him and see the king smiling and laughing with blood falling out of his mouth. "He'll be here soon...the smith...I'm proud of you Adeodatus...very proud...I shall give a gift to you as well..."

Shaking his head slowly he while speaking very softly in his two toned voice. "Don't act so happy just because you're dying oh dear king." He said that last part in a very mocking voice, but right after he said that his eyes grew a lot more wide than he had suspected them able to, because he heard the voice of Cere calling out to him and telling him no. Perhaps it was all of the adrenaline flowing through the mass of blood that was his body which caused him not to hear her to start with.

"I..." Standing up straight and finding nothing to say at first he stared off at the ground and clinched his fists shut before looking up at her and Alex shouting. "I'm going to protect you damn it! Me, and I'll protect you from anyone!..." finally realising he was nude he scrambled on the ground for his pants, and found them sliding them on and fastening them to his body.

That was when the ground started to shake and from the large whole in the wall by the throne an enormous hand gripped and pulled up an even more immense body of the foulest thing Adeodatus could ever recall viewing. It's face was black as the night with the front only having a portion of being pure white which gave way to viewing it's disgusting cuts, wrinkles, and disfigured form.

Although rippled with muscle this towering creature was full of holes and had hoofs for feet and claws as hands. That wasn't too abnormal, but the fact he had three sets of arms and four sets of legs...now that was abnormal. Not to mention it's entire mid-section looked like some sort of deep factory for constructing material that led all throughout it's body. A burning inferno inside of it.

Now as it made it's approach to Adeodatus he could only stand there gripping his blade, but the king wheezed out his last breaths with these words. "Smith...sorry for waking you, but from my form make the girl a new set of armor, and blade to match hers. As for the boy...lower...armor...." Those were his last words before he collapsed with a smile on his face and died.

The beast huffed a huff of steam and fire before lifting the king in his right hand on the second lower set of arms to his mouth. "As you wish my king..." While hearing this Adeodatus couldn't even describe how it sounded, but what happened next simply shocked him. The smith...ate the king....

Diago Tasume the Ranger

Diago had made good ground in the time he had left the castle, that or his master was not as quick as he used to be, for he was not that far ahead now. Diago slowed down to a jog behind his master but somthing seemed off.

Diago's master turned and thrusted a palm at Diago, and all of a sudden a large black beam flew from his hand. Diago had seen it many times, his masters Shadow beam. He pulled out his sword and swung the blade just in time to catch the beam right before it hit him. He forgot about his swords power though, and a shadow beam of his own came out and cut through the rest of his masters beam dissipating it.

"What are you doing master?" Diago asked confused. "Why attack me? Is this another test?"
"Your place is not with me anymore Diago, you will not tame those swords traveling with me." His master said openening a shadow portal.
"What do you mean? How do i tame the swords?" Diago asked again, he had no idea how and he wanted to tame them as quick as possible.
"You need to find the one thing you dont have, whether you think you do or not." His master said smiling at Diago. He then turned and walked into the portal.

Diago started to run after him but the portal dissapeared and some portal appeared in front of him and he couldn't stop before running through it. When he got himself re-orientated he realized he was back in the castle. He looked over at Cere and Alex, and Adeo... and some huge monster... He quickly back stepped to get away from it.

No, there must be more, and i shall find it.
Alex gritted her teeth when she felt Cere clutch her arm, her eyes on Adeodatus. Even though she had known he was a criminal, the fact that he had betrayed the princess' trust made her eyes spark with fury.

The knight automatically pulled Cere a bit closer when the smith appeared. It wasn't in her nature to be paralyzed with fear, so she managed to convince herself that the reason for her lack of movement was so she could shield the princess with her body. Her hand tightened on her sword hilt, her face a mask of tight-jawed disgust as the King's body was devoured.

Alex was simply not cut out for this adventuring business. Just yesterday the worst she had to deal with was a few criminals and a few drunken guards - some nobleman or another needing an escort and another wanting his son to take up a sword....

Now she was encountering magic and monsters and wondering how in the world the princess could survive with these people once Alex was squashed like an insect by these people and things that were ten times stronger than she could ever hope to be...

There was a very high possibility that the knight would not live to make it back home, and despite her stubbornness, that fact was slowly beginning to dawn on her. However, she knew she had a duty to perform - to protect the princess at any cost.

"Stay behind me, your highness," she grunted, drawing her sword.

Hearing Adeodatus' words, she wasn't sure how to respond.. What was he thinking, anyway, to come here and do this? Why did he destroy a man who offered them shelter for a small time for relaxation.

As the smith came into the room CereCere grabbed onto Alex tighter, her eyes filled with horror and disgust, her expression displayed this all the more. Stepping back a bit, she leaned down, resting her head against Alex's shoulder, her bangs falling over her eyes. "Why does there have to be so much destruction, and chaos..? Why can't we all be happy and free..." CereCere whimpered, falling weak against her knight before she grew silent.

Standing up, strong, her head was still lowered, her golden locks hiding her eyes. Quickly she looked up, revealing her strangely hued optics. They were gold, shining eyes of a deity. Quickly pulling from Alex, she dove forward pressing the palms of her hands to the ground. Looking forward, ground from underneath and rose creating her a bridge to the beast smith, so that she may be at his level. This bridge would also lead her to Adeodatus.. Who Ceres intended on dealing with.

Applying more pressure to the flooring blades arose along the bridge for her use. Quickly, moving back to her feet she rushed down the path she created, picking up each weapon as she came to them. Near Adeodatus now, she leapt into the air her eyes filled with the tears over a lost friend. Just as she was to come down upon him, drawing her right arm back and clinching her fist all she could think about was the intense fury that filled her mind right now. This in fact was a betrayal to her trust for this man to kill the king, and he dared speak to her with peace in his heart.

With this fueling her body that fist came barreling towards his frame with enough pressure and power backing it that it would have easily crushed walls or objects through them. Needless to say his body wouldn't enjoy this too much.

There wasn't much he could say to the girl when she spoke her question-like statements. So in turn Adeodatus said nothing but stood firm in his location. In his mind he was protecting what he loved even if it didn't return the favor. Which became all the more apparent in his eyes when she came at him with such hatred it appeared.

Turning his blade rather fast he slammed it in the ground in front of him and took a deep breath while closing his eyes. "Fine..." He whispered before slowly opening his eyes and spreading his arms only slightly out to his sides with open palms. Obviously he had no intention of defending himself from this girls wrath, and he knew the implications of it. With as much power as she was putting out. The only thing he could even think to mutter just before her fist was going to make contact was simply this. "I guess you did love him." Now it all seemed like what that goddess had told him was correct...and he had lived out what he wanted to do, and was now accepting his fate.

Adeodatus's eyes grew wide when he heard the sudden wail of pain coming from nowhere it seemed and a rather tall man with dark blue hair standing in front of him as if just walking by. The wail was not from him but when Cere's hit had struck it broke through a layer of something, something that looked like a transparent face yearning for life. The man himself leaned back when the blow struck him and was tilted down just a bit and grunted. "Now I don't think that was necessary. I come here to collect my part of the bargin in all this silliness and you hit me?"

Standing up fully again he brushed off his cheek where the hit had landed and relocated his dislocated jaw. Funny how he was able to speak with it dislocated as it previously had been. Those pink eyes of his burned through the area and dipped into the souls of the others, not doing anything just looking at their souls."Rude...very rude. Either way, I'm collecting my prize about now. Hell of a hook though girl"

Directly after saying this the strange male walked toward the smith who was now digesting the body and within it's exposed section creating armor. "Not just yet..." Lifting his right hand and closing it tight in a slow manner that appeared as though he was struggling everyone in the room could see the kings soul begin to float up from within the smith and out into the open area. Smiling this man tapped his foot on the ground and it turned jet black in a small area, just large enough to fit the kings soul. And that is exactly what he did: placed the kings soul violently in this hole in the ground.

Turning and smiling at everyone he was gone in a dark purple haze that fled just as quickly as he had.

Astonished by this Adeodatus turned to Cere who was probably still upset with him

Diago Tasume the Ranger

Diago was surprised by the attack by cere, then another man appeared, and he was confused. Nobody seemed to care that this.... beast... was standing here eating someone and doing nothing. 'Well, not me, i have a duty to destroy creatures such as this.' He look up to the sky. 'Give me the strength to do this..'

Diago moved both his blades into a certain spot and just started to swing them widly towards the giant creature, too far to actually hit, he looks more like he is just doing a well thought out dance with his swords, then what he was waiting for happened, the blades started to fire shadow beams in what looked like copies of his sword slices. The beams went striaght at the giant creature, he hoped it actually did something to it.

The beast let out a loud roar as it looked down at Diago whom had attacked him without any reason. So it thought that is, and it lurched it's body at a downward angle to bring it's face close to Diago's body. However instead of attacking the man it just tilted it's head as it's skin started to melt to the ground. Nothing more than a large puddle lay where it was for a while, but as the ink like substance faded armor was laying there ready for Alex as the king had requested, and next to it was a lower set of armor made for Adeodatus. Very interesting indeed.

Pulling her hand back slowly and watching the male who had just appeared out of nowhere she stared more than a bit startled by this sudden uprising of people. Not to mention Diago was now here, and it seemed he slayed that large beast who was eating the kings corpse. As for the king being a corpse to begin with she turned her eyes to Adeodatus who she could harbor nothing at the moment for him other than anger and what appeared to be hatred. Thankfully though it was not.

Without a moments hesitation she put her hand on his shoulder if allowed and turned him to face her, and delivered a swift slap to his face. The sound was something that would echo throughout these halls. Halls that were somewhat hallowed out now, because of all the servents starting to gather within the area of the others.

Turning from her friend she moved quickly away from the group. "So much for relaxing. We will head to the arctic kingdom now." Her words were harsh and bold, mainly because of how upset she was. The real question was how would it effect Adeodatus.
