Echo looked at the little girl. She was trying to figure out a way to kidify the reason why she was up here. Because the reason she was on the roof was really not known to her that well either. And hearing the little girl's parents were so busy was troubling because it seemed like no on had noticed the child was up on the roof. Echo sat down letting the light in her hands die out completely. "Well little one that is a very good question and i am not even sure I have an answer for it at this point. I guess it is because there is something familiar about sitting on the edge and looking out over the city. I lost most of my memories and I what I can remember is hazy and sitting here makes me feel like I got something back I guess" she said offering a reassuring smile to the child. "what about you why are you out on this roof all by yourself?" She asked the cold tone completely gone from her voice now.

"Hm, I figured as much. I don't see much of you, so call it a test. Can't have you getting bored and tearing up half of New York or something now can we?" she joked lightly, shifting her scy into a simple cane with a gruesome skull at the end, balancing on it. "So you have an entire civilization and you're winging it? For War, that isn't very strategic. Don't you have some friends somewhere with a really big basement or something? Or some abandoned apartment complex in the projects, something more fitting to those...whatever they are...I'd hate to have you come asking your sister for help. You of all people should know it's dangerous to owe Death." she said with a wink.

Salem continued sprinting forward, heading for the bar. If anyone could help out a psychic, it was Kirril. "Hang on, help is on the way."

Siiiigh. Aiden's arms crossed over his chest as the woman made that suggestion, shrugging his shoulders and then leaning back, eying her with his sharp yellows, never dropping his guard. "Most of what I do is winging it. I'm not a strategist, I'm a tactician. But I'm not gonna ask for help. I'm not gonna find my people some sewer or run-down shithole. We're gonna find land this time, and make it ours."

"And for the last time, I'm NOT my father. War was a glorified sperm donor at best."

... His head lifted up, however, when he heard someone approaching the place, which he and his aunt were stood right outside of.

Salem slowed to a jog, then a speady pace as he headed toward War and Death ahead of him. "I have to admit, if you two are Kirril's new bouncers I don't think we'll be getting any new clientel..." he joked with a smile and without a care that it may be obvious he was in a uniform of sorts.

Death giggled. "You're so easy to rile up, isn't that dangerous for someone like you? But alright, alright. Go be a big boy like you've always wanted, I'll not hold it against you. Honestly, if I could be out of character for a moment -- you know, 'alive' -- I wish you luck. For you and you're people. You've been through enough, it would be good for you to settle down somewhere. But you better invite me to the wedding, or it's plauge for all of you!" she said cheerily with a smile and wink. Hell only knew how serious she could actually be right now...

Rain rose an eyebrow, though it was unseen from his hood. "Video Games you say? Maybe I do have an idea then...follow me!" he said, turning on his heel, taking her hand, and heading right out the door like a man on a mission.



Meanwhile, the shadowy cloaked figure had taken position on a near-by rooftop, waiting for Echo to find herself alone. He had no intention of involving an innocent child.

Aiden winced at the mention of a wedding, his arms crossing over his chest. "... You'll have to wait a while on that one," Aiden warned her. The one woman he'd thought of in that capacity was gone, now.

He looked up to Salem, noticing, first of all, in fact, that he was in uniform. He wondered if the man recognized him from their rooftop duel when Salem had been at what seemed to be his lowest point. "I only work for myself," he answered, "And I'm makin' a change of scenery soon. Something goin' on?" he asked, nodding down to the man's uniform.

Iri kept to the rooftops as she tried to keep her target in her line of sight so her eyepiece could track where he was going. It looked as he was trying to get to his apartment, maybe if she could get there first, she could set up a field of view of the surrounding building so if she was walking into a trap, she could have a escape route. Jumping a little higher than a average human, she made her way on top of the rooftops trying to get to his apartment before he could.

"...I wanted to look at the clouds. I'd go to the park, but I heard it's closed again. I guess they're planting more new things..." She answered.
"...So you don't know who you are?" She asked, head tilting.
"That has to be scary..."

If she were trying hard enough, she very well MAY get there first. He, at the very least SEEMED, to be only human... In addition to that, he was taking extra time out of the trip for evasive purposes. A lot more changing direction and trying to confuse her rather than making it a straight shot.

Kirril stopped, his eyes shadowing over. "...We have company." he managed to say before he was quickly affirmed by a shadowy figure barreling out of the alley by Meg, a hood with a gasmask over his face and a hand of needles with a dangerous neon-orange liquid inside. "FOUND YOU, YOU LITTLE b***h!"

"Holy CRAP!" She shouted, eyes widening, wildly firing a blast of green energy that... ....did not even come CLOSE to the assailant, fired more out of surprise than anything else. ...She'd... probably have to work on her reaction time... and accuracy for that matter...

Elise was just sorta dragged along behind Rain, though at least her enhanced physical abilities meant that she was able to keep up and wasn't literally being dragged. Of course, the thought of wanting to talk to Salem popped into her mind...but so did an idea. "HeyLIfYouSeeSalemLetHimKnowIWantToTalkToHimInTheNextWeekOrSo,PleaseAndThankYou!" she said hurriedly to the blood knight, getting the last part out right before she and Rain had left the building, with her happily following him to...wherever they were headed.

Keeping up my pace on the rooftops caused me to loose sight on my target as I moved into position for over-watch on his apartment building. Ducking behind an air vent, I peeked out the top of it to make sure the building down the block was the apartment that her target lived in. Leaving my rifle pointed down the street one way, I want to the other side of the building to keep watch, a small window appearing on my eyepiece that showed what my rifle's scope was looking at to make sure I had both ways covered whichever way he came.

Echo looked at the child. She herself had wondered many times all the friendships, bonds and relations she had lost when she lost her memory. But on the same point how many painful things would she not want to remember? Like the incident that had cost her, her memories. "You can't really be scared if you don't know what you lost right?" she asked the child offering a reassuring smile.
