When nature becomes one's enemy...

Story

Story listened with horrified interest as Hitomi recounted her tale. As her friends explained, she transformed into her spirit form and gasped lightly when Hitomi mentioned the others left behind. Those poor souls... she thought, looking wryly at the kimono she was about to put on. Story slipped on the garment, and noticed that she was going to have an issue with her tail. It squirmed awkwardly beneath the fabric, looking rather peculiar, though after a few moments of rearranging, managed to fasten the kimono so that her skinny pink tail stuck comfortably out of the back. "That sounds very frightening. I think the most important thing to know though, is that its in your past. You shouldnt really dwell upon those horrible memories, but you shouldnt forget them either, because its a part of who you are. Just know that as of now, youre in a good place surrounded by good people who love you..." Story said, trying to comfort Hitomi a bit, but not really being sure if she was helping.

Hitomi looked at Story and smiled and she nodded. "i know i should not...but i cant help it...they were some of my best friends..but i know that i can not forget them and i never will because every time i close my eyes..i remember them...but i always look forward to the future even if it seems dark" she said with a smile and she looked and then walked over to the Kimono that Jahk would wear and she made sure it had no dust on it and made sure it looked clean, nice, and neat and then she remembered about his gloves he always had on and she looked over to Story with the kimono in her arms. "oh i want to know why does Jahk wear gloves...and also when will he get here the festival will be starting soon because the sun is setting.." she asked looking out the windows.

When nature becomes one's enemy...

Story

Sighing softly, Story dug through her own clothes and pulled out a few pins she had on her. "I know. I can't even imagine how hard that must be. I'm just trying to make you feel better. Though I'm not very good at it..." Story said sadly as she combed through her short pink hair with her fingers. With a few quick motions, she pinned her hair into a simple, though ellogant updo that suited the occasion as well as the length of her hair. "Is it really already getting dark? Wow, time really, er, flys. He should be here soon then, dont worry," she told Hitomi, though truthfully she was the one who was more likely to be balled up in the corner in panic, should he arrive too late. "I can help get things ready then, since its so soon...Oh, um, Jahk says he wears them for safety, which is a good thing. He always keeps himself covered because of his powers. If he touches anyone directly it would either suck their life energy or thier abilities, depending on the person as well as what Jahk's feeling at the time..." Story explained, straightening herself out once, making sure she looked as nice as she wanted to.

Hitomi looked over to Story from the window and she sighed slightly."i know you are i am sorry for how i am...from what i know..iv always been alone in my own world because not many people know me...the real me but dont worry thank you for really asking and trying to comfort me Story it really helps" she said with a smile as she looked at her and she smiled again. "dont you look cute maybe i should change into my spirit form..and yes it sure does, oh really alright then" she said with a smile and then looked at her and remembered what they were talking about before when they were in the japanese place and she bit her lip thinking about it and then she smiled lightly. "well..it must be sad that he cant do that...but as it is good that he has someone like you how he can always be with, but...it is really sad to think about something like that.." she said as she looked down and then looked around trying to think about everything and then she changed into her Spirit form and she made sure her hair was still how it was as it got longer and turned to a silver color and her eyes and her ears changed and so did her eyes into a darker grey color from her her light blue pupils the part of her eyes that are suposed to be white were blue changed to white.

When nature becomes one's enemy...

Story

"Well I would like to get to know the real you Hitomi and I'm positive that Jahk would too. I mean, you're already the sweetest person in the world, and we're all family now so it shouldnt be a problem...I'm glad I can help though, normally I'm not so good with helping people with their problems...I'm just a tad selfish," she said, scrunching up her mouth into an expressive pout. "Hmm..sad? Funny, I don't think he's ever really pitied himself, at least not for that reason. But then again he kind of just takes things as they are, not really thinking it as 'sad' or 'happy'.....OH Yes! I almost forgot, Hitomi..would you like to be a sister or a cousin?" Story asked with a sudden burst of excited whim.

Hitomi smiled at Story. "heh thanks Story but im not all that sweet..at lest i dont think i am." she said as she looked at her and rubbed the back of her head and her ears went down and then she looked at her and thought for a moment. "well..i just think it is sad not being able to really feel the people you care about..it must suck but im glad that he is not really down about it" when she herd what Story asked so suddenly and she thought for a moment but could not deside. "well either is fine with me you pick"

Where nature has taken over all...

Jahk

Jahk was feeling really rather tired as he flew over his new home in Kagani. Since he was flying straight to their old camp-area in the forest of Hanai, he had ended up pulling an all-day-er and, which was causing him some difficulties. One: He and Story had alot of stuff to pack. It wouldnt have normally been an issue, if he were traveling at night that is. However, since he wanted to be back in Kagani in time for the festival, he was packing in daylight, making it very hard to see. As he swooped down now, he remembered how he had been forced to stumble and grope around the camp area once noon had hit and the blinding sunlight gleamed tauntingly off every surface. With a wry smile, he landed lugging two swollen bags full of his and Story's belongings and entered the building. "Hello ladies...don't you look nice. All ready for the festival?" he asked.

Hitomi smiled and looked over seeing Jahk and she smiled and walked over to him with his Kimono in her arms and she looked at the bags. "Hello again Jakh glad to see you are well..this is for you two wear and you can put the bags down for now we really need to go to the festival before the moon rises" she said with a light smile and then looked at him a bit worried as she handed him the Kimono and took the bags and put them against the wall.

Jahk

"Oh um..you dont--okay then..." Jahk stammered as Hitomi took his and Story's bags from him. She didnt have to do that, but Jahk thanked her all the same. Jahk held the green kimono out and took a good look at the leafy-thorny pattern scattered across it. "Thankyou...it's very nice. Well then I should hurry. Dusk was just falling when I came in. I'll go get changed...where is this festival centered at? Where in the city, that is?" Jahk asked, stepping into another empty room.

Hitomi watched as Jahk left the room and thought about where it is. "i will take you there myself but it is close to the forest and lake so the moon can reflect off of the lake" she said with a smile.

Jahk

"That sounds lovely," Jahk commented as he fastened the kimono that was provided for him. "Hmmm..." he murmured. Boucing a bit on the balls of hie feet, Jahk felt himself grow very anxious. Excited am I? he wondered. He decided that there really wasnt much to be excited about. Even in his human form, as he was now, he coud still hurt someone who even dared show thier affection in a physical way, not that any one would. Jahk glanced himself over, making sure every possible part of himself was covered and stepped back into the room where Hitomi and his sister were waiting. "Alright, I'm ready. When do you plan on heading over there Hitomi, oh veteran of Kagani?" he asked politely.

Hitomi listened and giggled lightly as she waited and then looked at him as he came out and she smiled. "you look very nice Demon-kun" she said teasing him because of what he had just called her and she started to walk and then looked at them both. "well now hahaha" she said laughing lightly as she walked slowly untill they caught up with her.

When nature becomes one's enemy...

Story

Story smiled and lept forward lithely to the door way. "I'm so excited Hitomi! Hurry up Jahk!' she said as she danced behind her friend, following her through the streets. Story was utterly charged with energy, probably because it was dusk, and she had no idea what to expect from this fascinating city.

Hitomi looked at them as they walked and smiled to see they were exited about the festival and then they soon came in to a big wall and she walked threw it and then waited for Story and Jahk to walk threw as well. "Story, Jahk hurry the festival will be starting soon she said with excitement in her tone and she had a smile as she waved to every one and then looked seeing people lighting lanterns and the lake glimmered and shined and the area had a sweet sent to it.

Jahk

Jahk followed his sister and Hitomi out into the decorated streets of the corroded city. Kagani had been dressed for this occasion accordingly as he could tell. The rocky streets were and distressed buildings were lit up with small, blue lantern lights that glowed dimly though effectively lit up the night. The darkening sky was a perfect backdrop for the scene before them. Some where in the distance, Jahk could hear unfamilliar music playing, and this made him smile. It seemed that this was a time that everyone in the city could forget the wars and the corrosion and just come together as a community. He liked this sense of togetherness, and his smile grew wider. His scarlet eyes flashed with curiousity as he wondered about the origin of such a celebration. "Hitomi..." he said, ctaching up a bit, "How did the Star Moon festival begin? Do you know?" he asked, glancing at a embelleshed banner that hung from a window of one of the houses.
