Lyra thought this through and then decided on her next question, "Then why, why did you help me?"

"why not?" he asked her back smiling

Lyra smiled, but she knew this wasn't a real answer. She looked around at the others and then back at him, she phrased her next questions trying to make it sound like the answers didn't matter at all, "Why do you think I can't remember you? And what do you think we'll find in my past that would be a reason for erasing my memories?" Lyra sat up and looked around, "Are we safe here?"

." who knows what your memory holds. maybe nothing, maybe everything. circumstance will decide when the time comes" he told her. he looked at her seriously. "no, but keep it a secret" he told her. there was a league of assassians from the light kingdom following him but didn't let anyone know

Lyra lifted an eyebrow at his comment about their safety. With a shiver she snuggled deeper into to covers, she was never normally cold why now?

he watched the sun rise the following morning having not moved since lyra and the rest went to sleep

Story was relieved seeing that Hitomi was back in their care, no longer in the immeadiate danger of that scientist man. She smiled. She frowned. Hitomi remembered nothing of the past few days. She kept reffering to herself as Akira....Akira.... Why did that sound so familliar? Story was sure she had heard of hit somewhere, but couldnt put her finger on it. She shook it off. There was a new man with them now, the prince of the Shadow kingdom. Him being here simply made her frown. They had, after all, just attacked their newest home, causing Jahk and Story to have to help relocate half the city of Kagani. Jahk. Story sighed a breathe of relief. Her brother was fine. And so was Sage, which also made her smile. It seemed Lyra was about to get her memories back in the near future, which was good. The only one that seemed to need help was Hit-- Akira. Story walked over to her lovingly, her tail swinging coquettishly behind her. "Akira, what can you tell us about your past?" she asked sweetly.

Lyra opened her eyes sleepily, she looked around and sat up. She looked around at her new family glad that they were all safe. She turned and looked at Belial saying, "Hey I never got the chance to say," she smiled, "Thank you, for everything, for helping Hitomi and for helping me,"

"no thanks needed. i did what was necessary" he told her still watching the rising sun and all its beauty. "nature is very beautiful isn't it" he said hollowly

Lyra noticed the hollowness in his voice, yesterdays wonder turned into worry. She looked him full in the face and asked him, "So you know a good part of my story, lets hear yours,"

"what story is worth telling whith a hollow voice that scares the erson listening" he told her

Lyra was startled by that fact that he knew that his voice was hollow, "It doesn't scare me," it was a lie, she was a little bit afraid of the voice, but not the person who it belonged to.

he sighed. "i am the heir to the shadow kingdom, that is all i will tell for now" he smiled at her. "something to look forward to as the journey moves along. and as for your memory. i will need one item before going into a long term erase. my beautiful lilith" he said refering to his scythe.
