But first, let me make my start! mrgreen

(So here is my start, here I go! biggrin Not that great, but it'll do. razz )

Arwen groaned,as sunlight poured into her room, shining brightly in her eyes. She had been sleeping in her room, and apparently her older sister,Kianna, thought she might wake Arwen up. "Rise and shine, Arwen!" Kianna said cheerfully, pulling back the curtains on the windows. Arwen growled at her,and rolled over. "Just let me sleep in a bit later..A couple hours." Arwen pleaded,Kianna smirked, and walked over to Arwen's large canopy bed,and grabbed Arwen's wings. Yes,Arwen had wings, nobody else in her family's palace,or in fact, any of the other Elves had wings, only she did. Kianna yanked on Arwen's white wings,Arwen fell off her bed, with a shriek. "Now you're up." Kianna pointed out,Arwen glared at her,"Out!" she snapped,Kianna walked out of Arwen's room, closing the door behind her. Arwen scowled at Kianna as she left. Sisters..They could be so annoying sometimes. Arwen stretched her arms, and walked over to her hanging clothes-closet,pulling off a dark blue dress,it had little white ribbons lining the bottom. Arwen liked this dress, blue and white were her favorite colors. And it was sleeveless, she hated tight sleeves on clothes. Arwen slid off her bed clothes, and put the dress on. Then she walked over to her mirror, brushing out her long hair. Yawning, she walked out of her room, heading downstairs. Her family's palace was huge, all the rooms were large and roomy, but she had been living here for a while,so she was used to to it.

...Snore... Snore... Snore...

...Rustle...

...Creeeeeeak...

...THUMP!

Kainda say on the forest floor, rubbing her head where it had hit the ground. Nearby, Tala was curled up, one eye open, a chuffing sound coming from his lips.

"Are you LAUGHING at me, you overgrown hound dog?!" She was angry. Her plan of sleeping in the tree for a better vantage point had failed miserably.

"Wolves don't belong in trees. It's your own fault. You aren't a cat."

"Thank you. Ever so much." She stood, brushing off her knee length tunic. Out of the back popped a silvery wolf tail, which she also attentively brushed free of dirt and debris.

"As soon as you're done preening, shall we venture off into the great unknown and have ourselves a bite to eat?" The silver and black wolf stood. He was extremely tall, his head coming to above her belly button.

"Fish? Can we have fish?" She was suddenly excited, her silver wolf ears perked at full attention.

"Works for me. Let's go."

Folling him, they made their way through the brush, heading in the direction of a nearby river.

Arwen headed downstairs, but stopped, out of the corner of her eye,she saw something running towards her. Her pet Winged cat came bounding down a hallway. Arwen gave the animal one look,"Hello Kippy." she said calmly, scooping up the little cat. Kippy wasn't the cat's real name,as the cat changed it's name everyday, since Arwen could talk to animals,if she just looked at her pet,she instantly knew it's new name. Arwen smiled, and walked downstairs,Kippy riding on her shoulder. Arwen's mother,Esanna greeted her,"Good morning Arwen." Esanna said, giving her a hug. Arwen just yawned,"I'm going out to the garden." she said, walking outside to the Palace garden. Esanna waved to her as she left. Arwen quite liked this garden, there were a lot of flowers, plants, trees, and a small pond, with lots of little fish in it. Arwen sat by the pond,Kippy batted at the fish in the pond. Arwen was bored, she laid on the grass, staring up at the sky. "This Palace is boring! I want some excitement!" she shouted up to the heavens. She really found being an Elven princess being boring, she was a Tomboy at heart, and liked to battle, anything but being a fancy little princess. Like thinking about it was going to change anything. Kippy smirked at her. Keep dreaming. Kippy and Arwen could talk to each other telepathically, plus the cat could read minds as well.

Yawning as she walked, Kainda made her way through brush and trees. Most of the time her tunic brushes nothing.

She paused once they were a little ways into the forest, causing Tala up ahead to stop and turn to look at her.

"Do you want fish or not?" He asked, stamping a paw in irritation.

"I smell little fishies. And flowers. And... Cat." She muttered back, turning her nose to the air, and inhaling deeply.

"Yes, and I also smell people. You don't want to run into that, do you?"

"Well... not really. But I'm tired of doing the same thing every day. It'd been this way since Cairbre died, and Liam kicked us out of the pack. And I'm tired of it. We can at least go look, right?"

With a sigh, and a shake of his massive head, Tala turned around and walked in the direction that the smells were originating from.

With a childlike yip of excitement, she followed him. Bare feet treading silently over the leaf strewn forest floor.

Arwen jumped up,and looked around the palace garden, bored. Large iron walls/fences surrounded the entire Elven palace, only the large walkway up to the front doors to the palace were the way in and out, gates on the iron walls in front of the walkway lead out of the garden,to outside. Kippy suddenly perked up,"I hear the thought of some people nearby..One appears to be a..Wolf,the other a wolf-girl..I think." she said,Arwen nodded,"How close are they?" "In the forests." Arwen looked around, making sure none of the guards were around, and her wings unfolded,as she leaped over the iron fences,Kiara followed, her own little rainbow-colored wings flapping. Arwen took off into the forest, running as fast as she could,Kippy flew beside her.

As they made their way to the source of the smells, Kainda danced around the trees gracefully. Her tail swaying this way and that, and her ears perked for any new sounds.

She tromped around the trees, skipped over branches... And promptly fell face first into a tree.

"TAL! Keep your big feet under you and not me!"

The wolf's only answer was a growl akin to a giggle.

Huffing, she crossed her arms and continued on her way.

She was sidetracked once again when an apple tree appeared in her way.

"APPLES!" She quickly wiggled up the tree, munching on the bright red fruit.

Tala shook his head and kept silent. Wolves did NOT eat apples. She was such an odd child.

Arwen raced through the forest,"Freedom!" she shouted, laughing. She jumped into a tree, hopping across to another one, then jumped down. The small silver tiara that she wore, toppled off, landing in some bushes. Arwen scooped up the shiny little tiara.."OW!" Thorns covered her arms, apparently it was some sort of bush filled with thorns. Arwen pulled her arm back, plucking the thorns off her skin,Kippy laughed at her,"That was smart!" "Be quiet, you cheeky feline!" Arwen growled at Kippy, and pulled the tiara out of the bush with her foot,it snapped in half, she accidentally stepped on it. Arwen sighed,"What the hell..Whatever." she muttered, kicking the tiara back in the bush. Then she continued on her way.

Tal paused with a growl.

"What is it now?" Kainda asked.

"I hear people. And the cat smell is getting closer. I don't sense a threat. But as it is, we should probably sit tight. Theya re heading towards us."

"If you insist." She stayed in her apple tree. Better to be above them than eye to eye.

Arwen twirled around, singing in Elven softly to herself. She stopped, and saw Tala up ahead. Kippy started hissing, and growling,Arwen rolled her eyes,"Kippy,it's just a wolf, calm down." she spoke in Elven, but the cat understood her perfectly. Kippy stopped freaking out,but gave the wolf an icy stare. Arwen however, crouched down, and gave the wolf a curious look. She didn't know whether it was a common wolf, could it speak English? Either way,she gave a small, friendly bark, she could speak to animals, and knew how to talk to them in their own languages. Then Arwen waited for any reactions from Tala.

Tala reacted by cocking a black eyebrow at the Elven princess.

"Hello there." He spoke in clear Elvish. His time around people had tought him many things.

At that point in time, Kainda jumped down from the tree, but crouched behind Tala to watch him speak to the girl and cat before she made an approach.

Though she did eye the angry looking cat for a few minutes. She was extremely fascinated by it's wings.

Arwen smiled at the wolf,"So you can speak. I wasn't so sure, whether you spoke English or what. I've met a lot of animals, they either only spoke in their own native animal languages,or in English." Arwen was speaking in Elvish, but then shook off. "I'm Arwen." she was speaking in English now. She pointed to Kippy,"I'd tell you her real name, but she has none. She gets a new one everyday. Today, her name is Kippy." Arwen said cheerfully, trying to put Kippy on the ground, but the cat hissed, and growled, trying to stay on Arwen's shoulder. Arwen frowned, and put the cat back on her shoulder. "Whatever. Just don't scratch my wings,it hurts." she muttered,Kippy purred, her own wings folding up.

[ Sorry. Started work today, so haven't been home. ^.^ ]

Tala nodded politely to the little cat, "Hello there, Kippy. My name is Tala. My two legged wolf companion is Kainda."

Kainda nodded at them both, declining to speak.

"What brings you to our neck of the woods?" The four legged wolf asked.
