This "Myth" is Hiding Under Your Bed

It is probably going to take an hour to do the whole hour to finish this ship, I thought. I wish I could just dunk it underwater for a few minutes. That would clean it. I hadn't noticed but the guy had been talking to me and was waiting for me to respond. "Sorry what did you say?" I asked a little embarassed. He sighed. "I said, what were you doing on our ship?" I stopped scrubbing the deck and sat back onto my shoes. "I wanted to take a nap." I said simply. He barked a hard laugh. I glared at him. "What's so funny?" I snapped. "Nothing, just most girls don't take naps on random boats." he said laughing. I threw my soappy sponge at his head and hit him.I brust out laughing until his sponge hit me in the head. I sat out some soap on the deck. "Hey! I just cleaned there!" he cried. I laughed again. "Too bad!" I laughed then stopped when I saw him start runnig towards me with his bucket of water over his head. "AH! No don't you DARE throw that at me! Ah! NOO!!!" I screamed running away. He threw the water at me and soaked through my clothes. "AH! That's freezing! I'm gonna get you for that!" I said and turned into my demon form. His eyes got a little big but they got bigger when I flew over his head with my bucket of water. He tried to run away but I flew faster than he could run. I emptied the entire bucket of water on him and he screamed. I laughed and stayed in the air so he couldn't get me. After a while he gave up and I noticed that the deck was clean except for a little spot in the corner. I whistled to him and he looked up. I pointed to the corner. "You missed a spot." I said. He glared at me but went and cleaned it with the little water we had left. "I'm going downstairs to get changed. DO yourself a favor and do something useful." he said before disappearing through the door. I stuck my tougue out at him but flew up to the crow's nest. He wanted me to be helpful, fine. I'd be the watchout, I thought as I laid back against the mast. "This is going to be boring as hell." I said and stared at the calm ocean until my eyes got heavy and I drifted off to sleep.

i woke up and the ship wasn't moving. i yawned and walked outside after i got dressed in another cool pirate outfit. i saw Sebastian and Hailey talking but couldn't find Terry. i shrugged it off but suddenly heard a really girlish voice say "My hero! you've come to save me!" i turned around to see terry come aboard with a girly girl. "She's a siren" Terry said rolling his eyes. i smiled a bit she would be stuck to him like glue and he would get so mad. "So what can you do either than annoy Terry?" i asked smiling. "umm.." the girl said and thought. "By the way my name is Britney and i can distract any man i want" Britney said smiling. "Deal you can be our new crew member!" I said smiling. "If that means i get to be near Terry everyday" she started and clutched onto Terry's arm "Then i'm in!" and we all broke into laughter except Terry who was scarred and and Britney who was clutching onto Terry

I woke up when I felt myself falling. I opened my eyes and saw that I was very close to the deck. I opened my wings and landed softly. I looked up and saw the guy from earlier. "Damn. I thought I'd get you with that." he said sliding down the mast. "Hardy har har. I could've broken my neck from that." I said punching his arm. Very hard. He rubbed his arm. "Ow. I was pretty sure you were going to wake up after all most people with a pretty face don't sleep very deeply." he said and walked away. I thought about that for a second. "Stupid men." I said and flew back up to the crow's nest. I watched the other crew members doing their chores while the captain yelled at them to fix barely noticable errors. I sighed. "Stupid men." I repeated. I couldn't stop thinking about what he'd said. "Think about you speak next time idiot." I said feeling my face get hot.

for the next couple of days Britney has been getting on Terry's nerves. i would laugh every time i saw them, how Britney was always trying to get Terry to notice her. the ship landed on an unmarked island so i set off to see whats on it. the next thing i know something hit me in the back of the head and i blacked out.

Miyuki walked through the branches. Her white gray paws making no noise what so ever as she walked. Her daughter on the other hand was making a lot of noise.

Moon had gotten leaves stuck in her paws. "mooomm....where are we going?" Moon said trying to shake off the leaves stuck to her claws.

"just be quiet...i havent been over here before and i here a lot of noise over here every now and then. She waved her tail to tell her daughter to not move and then slowly poked her head out from the shrubs. She looked at the river bank....there was a big huge lake river what ever it was there were no more trees...and there were big huge things in the water that reeked of the smell of humans. She poked her head back in. "theres nothing there lets go." She ran off her daughter slowly following behind.

The crew on the ship were scared of me now but the captain thuoght I might be useful if they got attacked so she wouldn't let me leave. I stayed in my human form since they could see my demonic features and it scared the crap out of them. I was busy cleaning the deck when I saw the guy was in the crow's nest. I smirked. I climbed up and he was sleeping soundly. It almost seemed a shame to pour water over his head. But that wasn't enough to stop me and I poured it over his head. He came up quickly and I had my sword at his throat. "I win. Now, hold up to your end of the deal. What's your name?" I said. He smiled. "Daniel." I nodded and moved my sword. Then he pushed me out of the crow's nest. I was too surprised to rememebr to change forms and landed with a loud crack. I felt a sharp pain in my back and my head but it wasn't enough to black me out. "s**t! That hurt you know!" I yelled up at him and shaking my fist. He stared down at me and I think he might have even looked a little worried. I tried to get up but my lower back wouldn't bend. "Damn." I muttered. I must've broken my back. Oh well, it would heal in an hour or less I thought. I grew out my wings and just flew up and sat on the mst and waited for my back to heal. "I'll let him worry. Might be good for him." I said staring at him. He still looked kind of worried. It made me feel a little bad but it was his fault.

i was in a sitting position, looking up i could only see darkness. a cold mist surrounded the room as silence was the only thing that could be heard. i stood up, having not been tied or anything. my eyes were still a little droopy but soon i had them back to normal. the room i was in was small but had an opening in the door. i slowly made my way out to me in some sort of indian camp. it was probably really early in the morning because it was foggy, the sun was barely up yet and no one was out of there hut. my arms stretched over my head as i was slowly waking up. remembering what happened before, my hand quickly shot to my head but i felt nothing, not even a bump. a little confused i walked around the little town and realized it was on a small island and my ship was no where to be seen. covering the beachs of the island were little rafts and sitting on one of the rafts was a telescope. i picked it up and looked at the island neighboring this one. Our ship was over there and they probably didn't know i was here. i tested the waters and it was wickedly cold. looking from the raft to the water i knew what must be done. before i could push the raft into the water i was tackled down. "I don't think so" a husky voice said.

After a while my back was better and withdrew my wings. I didn't climb down though because it was sunset and truthfully they didn't have sunsets in the demon world. I stared. It looked beautiful. The sky was painted a mixture of red, orange, blue, purple, yellow and green. I watched it until the sky finally turned to black. I turned and nearly fell off the mast. Daniel had been sitting beside me God knows how long. I supressed a scream but my heart was in my throat. He started laughing. "Did I scare you?" he asked. I punched his arm. He still laughed while rubbing his arm. "Are all humans as annoying as you? Or are you just special?" I asked but before he could say anything the captain called us all on deck. I flew down and he jump and grabbed my foot. I screamed and we half fell to the deck. I managed to land on my feet. I smacked him upside the head and swore. "Could've given me some warning ya'know." I said beating him. He just laughed through my punches. The captain told us they'd spotted another ship and we were going to make a pit stop to get some supplies. We all just nodded and said, "Yes captain." then hurried off to do our assigned jobs.

back at the ship Britney was going to get the surprise of her life. "Whats wrong terry-poo?" Britney asked clinging onto Terry's arm. "I can't find Alex" Terry mumbled but Britney heard. "I say you should stop worrying about her and we should spend some alone time." Britney said suggestively. "You know what!" Terry said and then kissed her. Britney fainted and terry brought her on ship. he dumped her on the ground then ran out to keep looking.

I pushed the guy off me and looked at hi, he seemed kind of familiar i don't know why but i knew he wasn't human. "What are you?" I asked looking at him weirdly. "A mermaid and i can't let you leave" the guy said smiling. "Oh and why not?" i asked my hands went instinctively to my hips. "You are the only other girl here that is around my age so i gave chosen you to be my queen" the guy says smirking. my mouth hung open but i got a plan. i stepped onto the raft and walked to the edge peering over it. it got really deep out of no where. "I will never marry you" i said then looked at the shock on his face. "I don't even know you!" i said smirking and jumped off the raft quickly turning into a mermaid and swimming to my ship. i looked back to see the guy following me really closely. i jumped on the beach, quickly ran up onto the ship and took away the little bridge away so the guy from earlier couldn't get on. "At least let me join you and get to know you!" he yelled up but i turned my back to him. "What could a prince do? i bet you've never worked hard before" i said knowing i had him there. "Before i became a prince i was a poor orphan the king adopted me but made me do all the house work! since he had no sons he left me the kingdom!" The guy yelled back. "Whats your name?" i asked lowering the bridge. "James" he said and boarded the ship. we stayed where we were and waited for the ship near by to do what it was doing. Terry was running away From Britney who ever since she fainted was attached to him even more. Sebastian was fishing and had already sent a barrel to Hailey who was preparing the fish so it would last. i had put james to work cleaning the ship but when ever he passed me he would always ask me a question, after a couple of questions of me not answering it i finally gave up and gave him what he asked. Even though he was a prince he wasn't lying about him working.

We went up to the ship but by then the captain had noticed that catching fish would be easier in these waters so she decided to just go on board and ask for fishing lessons. I didn't want to learn to fish so I just fell asleep in the sun on the deck. I had a hat I'd stolen from one of the other crew members over my eyes so that the sun wouldn't keep me awake. After a while I woke up because I'd felt the boat move a bit. I mkoved the hat and saw a guy about 17 at the wheel trying to figure out how to drive the boat. I sighed and got up. I placed the hat on my head and walked up to him. "Boo." I whispered in his ear and he jumped intot he air and yelped. I laughed my a** off while he ran after me trying to catch me but couldn't. Eventually he gave up trying to get me off the mast and went back to the wheel. I just watched him. "Why are you stealing my ship?" Asked the captain who had just come back. Then she glared at me. "And why didn't you try and stop him!?" she screamed. I shrugged. "Didn't look like it was going anywhere." I yelled back. She took in a breath as if to scream at me again but thought better of it and sighed. She held up some fish and I jumped down. "Make yourself useful for once and do some cooking before the rest of the crew get back. After your done cooking this I'll help you prepare the rest for storage." she said then went to her cabin. I shrugged and went downstairs dragging the new guy with me. "HEY! What're you doing!? Lemme go!" I just laughed at him and said, "No. Way."

the other ship came up to the island and the captain asked Sebastian how to fish and he taught her with glee. i smiled at the two but my smile soon disappeared when i saw James run up to me and hug me. "Let go!" i said pushing him away. "I finished cleaning and i have a surprise for you! meet me at the steering wheel in an hour and dress really fancy." he said and ran off before i could say no so i had to. i went to my courters and started preparing.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

i waited nervously up on deck. "Woah you look beautiful whats the occasion?" Terry said making me blush a little. "Thank you the occasion is.." i said but James had interrupted me. "Me and my girl are going on a date!" James said grabbing my hand and taking me downstairs. he led me to an abandoned room. he opened the door and there in front of us was a picnic. "Wow" i said my face getting hot. "And its all for you" James said smiling and leading me in. i knew by then that my whole face was red.

I went into the kitchecn and saw a girl sleeping in a chair. I threw the guy on the ground. "Guess I don't need your help after all." I said. He didn't bother yelling at me he just looked at me and said, "I'm Matt and I like my fish grilled." he said. I turned to punch him but he was already gone. I cursed under my breath and woke up the cook. she got up with a start. "Huh, wha? Do we have food again?" she asked. I laughed. "If you have to ask that I take it you guys don't eat very well here." I said and put the fish on the table. "Know how to gut a fish?" I asked and she groaned.

~ Up On Deck ~

Captain Maria looked around at her crew and cursed under her breath. Most had jumped ship the moment they got to the island just so they wuoldn't have to put up with the fox girl. "Should've kicked her off when she got here." she muttered. Then she saw the new guy come back from the kitchen. "Hey you!" she yelled. He turned and looked at her. "Go keep a look out." He nodded and headed towards the crow's nest. She took her new fishing pole and tried to catch some more fish. The crew had come back with almost nothing and most of them were trying to catch something over the starboard bow since most of the fish were on that side. She decided to join them and wait for lunch. "Shoot." she said. She forgot to tell the fox girl how to cook the fish. She paused then shrugged. Oh well, no one had eatten since they last dropped anchor so they probably wouldn't be too picky. She hoped anyways.

" I'm going to do it today!" Hailey said excitedly walking down the halls. she had been so shy before but now she was going to tell Sebastian how she felt towards him. She walked onto the deck and saw Sebastian talking to Britney. "Why won't you go out with me?" Sebastian said chasing after Britney who was trying to get away. "Two reasons! one me and Terry are going out and two I thought you and that witch were going out." Britney said. "Me and Hailey are just friends thats all, i only have eyes for you and thats only." Sebastian said. "sorry i don't go out with blind people and Mutts" Britney said confusing Sebastian. he wasn't blind, what did she mean. "You skank he is way better than you'll ever be!" Hailey said sticking up for him. Thats when Sebastian finally realized what britney meant by him being blind, Hailey liked him. she gave him lots of food even though they were out how she taught him how to fish very well and how that one night when he was staying up all night she went up and stayed with him. Britney huffed and walked back inside. "Hailey.." Sebastian said grabbing her arm. "Stop it I came here to tell you i liked you when were just friends" Hailey said ripping her arm out of his grasp and running back to her room. Sebastian looked away for a second but reluctantly went back into his room.

In the kitchen Emily, the cook, and I had gutted the fish, though she didn't shut up throught eh whole thing and we each were cutting half of the pile of fish. I was in charge of grilling and she was going to fry the other half. It didn't take us very long to cut the fish and soon all we had to do was wait for the fish to finish cooking. We waited in silence and eventually I broke the silence. "So, how long you been working here?" I asked. "Two years. I was actually the first crew member. You?" she replied. "About five days." I said and chuckled. "Where you from?" I asked. "I'm from a small fishing village on an unnamed island that Maria visited a long time ago. She was getting attack by a bunch of pirates and I saved her by throwing fish at the pirates. They ran away but not before picking up some fish." We laughed. We talked like that and asked each other questions until the fish were done. We took them up to the deck and yelled out, "FISH ARE DONE!" In a few minutes all the fish were being eaten. While I was eating my grilled fish I saw Matt and Daniel talking and glancing in my direction every now and then. I stopped paying attention to them after the tenth time they looked at me. After I was done I helped Emily cleant eh dishes and we talked until she got tired. We said good night and I went my cabin while she got put up a hammock in the kitchen. I got to my cabin door and saw Daniel standing outside. I walked up to him and sighed. "What do you want? I wanna go to bed." I said rudely. He glared at me. "Nevermind! I'll talk to you tomorrow." he said pissed now. He stopmed away to his room, which was right next to mine. I'd never noticed that before. I shrugged and went inside my cabin and fell asleep.

Britney hopped into Terry's room smiling. She had seen Hailey standing near and knew she liked Sebastian. Britney was having way to much fun on this ship. she looked around the room to see his room was a total mess. She saw Terry in the corner of the room and he looked angry. "Terry are you ok?" Britney asked kind of scared. "No I'm not now leave!" Terry yelled standing up. his eyes were blood red. "Not until you tell me whats going on!" Britney said mustering all of her courage to stand up to the demon known as Terry. "I said leave!" terry said grabbing Britney by the shoulders tightly and throwing her out of his room not caring if she was okay and slammed the door. Britney got up thinking ' Am I the blind one right now?' Britney asked herself confused. She was walking around when she bumped into a crying me. "What happened?" Britney asked and for once i knew i could confide in her. i told about the picnic and what James tried to make me do. "Go to your room okay? I'll be there in a bit to make you feel better okay? i just have to get something" Britney said running off leaving me to go back to my courters. Britney ran into Terry's room just as he flipped over his bed. "What did i tell you?!" Terry yelled at her. "I know why your angry but right now i need you to calm down and listen to me you got that!" Britney said yelling at Terry, both of them surprised she did that. Terry sat down and listened to Britney's story about Alex and James. "That b*****d!" Terry said and ran out of the room. Britney smiled to her self. maybe being good wasn't such a bad thing either. she sighed and walked to Hailey's room. "I'm going to kill you" Terry said punching James in the face, when his fist collided with Jame's face there was a loud crack. "You're a guy so I thought you would know what i meant to do with this" James said in defense but he was only digging his grave deeper. "You mean you were only lusting you sick dog!" Terry said Punching james in the face again. JAmes narrowed his eyebrows and punched Terry in the stomach and ran behind Terry. "Don't think you can escape me" Terry said grabbing James by the collar.
Sebastian was walking around the ships deck thinking. He was totally confused. His feelings for Britney were brought on by lust but he never thought about hailey in that sort of way before. She was always there for him but he never really ever thought about it. After ten minutes of thinking he decided that he would go and talk to Hailey and tell her he has began to like her. he ran downstairs and went through the hallways until he stopped in front of Hailey's door. "Hailey i've realized that I.." he started but stopped when he opened the door and saw that she wasn't in here. Sebastian took a step in and saw Hailey's diary laying on her desk. 'whats wrong with just a peak' Sebastian thought with a mischievous smirk.
Dear Dairy,
I went to tell Sebastian that i was in love with him and i find him at Britney's knees begging for her to be his. As soon as i heard him say we were nothing i could practically feel my heart braking i don't think i could go on i've already had this happen before and I'm tired of having my heart constantly broken! I'm going to end this horrible life tonight!
Sebastian dropped her diary and ran through every hallway looking for Hailey. he had no clue her feelings for him were that strong. His eyes were watering up just thinking of not having hailey in his life, maybe he liked her as much as she loved him.
"Hailey what are you doing!" Britney asked Tackling Hailey off of the ridge. "This is all your fault!" Hailey said slapping Britney across the face, Hailey's eyes full of tears. "You have to hear me out i was a total b***h before! i bewitched Sebastian into thinking he loved me because i was jealous of what you had!" Britney said watching Hailey. Hailey had stopped crying and was now listening very intently. "Why were you jealous?" Hailey asked very quietly. "Because i never knew what love was, I'm a siren its all about lust with me I've never experienced love before but when i saw what you and Sebastian had i was instantly jealous and the jealous side of me took over i am so sorry" Britney said breaking into tears. "Its not your fault, friends?" Hailey asked smiling. "You're so nice!" Britney said hugging her new friend.
"Hailey!" Sebastian yelled running through the halls, he stopped when he saw Terry and James fighting. "Terry you have to help me!" Sebastian yelled breaking the fight. terry had beaten the s**t out of James. "You have to help me find Hailey before she kills herself!" Sebastian said looking at james with sorrow eyes. "what?" Terry asked looking scared for a second then making himself look feeling less. "I read her diary and she said she was going to kill herself. "Sebastian said letting a tear fall out of his eyes. "I know where she would go!" Terry said and started running to where Hailey would be with Sebastian following him. "Don't do it!" Sebastian said running up stairs to see Hailey and Britney hugging. "I'm okay" Hailey said breaking the hug and standing up. "I love you" Sebastian said running up to Hailey and hugging her. "I love you to" Hailey said burring her head into Sebastian's chest. "Oh my god! i forgot about Alex she's alone in her room with her mind freaking messed up about james!" Britney said looking at Terry scared. "I'll go!" Terry said and began to run into my courters. he swung open the door and saw a hole in the wall. "What the" Terry began but i cut him off. "Terry!" i screamed, he turned just to see me get carried out of the room by a flying demon. "ALEX!" terry said running to the hole.
