Welcome to Gaia! ::

He was still thinking to himself when he heard a voice call out. "Kin?" he got up nervously. Had she seen him follow her outside? Only one way to find out. He walked back around the corner of the building. She appeared startled when he saw her, as if she had seen something that had frightened her. But he didn't like to believe in super natural beings but to say she looked like she had seen a ghost was a good way of describing it. He began to walk over to her. "You called?" He asked warily, wondering if he had just imagined her saying his name. He stood face to face with her and became at a loss for words. "Erm... you've taken your shoes off?" he made a weak attempt at conversation to ease the awkwardness he felt inside.
In Kin's eyes, Danny looked like a puppy that had been kicked a few times. You might beckon it with the best of intentions, but it's still going to be wary of you.
"Uh...yeah. I called." She looked down at her bare feet and blushed. "And yeah...I like to walk around barefoot if it's not too cold. I'm weird like that." She paused, and decided to go for it: "Hey, did you say something a minute ago...before I called you?"
'He's going to think I'm crazy,' she thought. 'Absolutely insane. And I might agree with him, if I'm starting to hear voices...Was that even one of Artemis's abilities??'
'... think I'm crazy... absolutely insane... hear voices... Artemis's abilities...'

"I don't think so." he laughed "I don't think you're going insane either! ... Wait, what?" Had he heard right? He could heard Kin's voice but her lips remained sealed. Maybe he was the crazy one or were they both experiencing the same thing? But how? I wasn't like he knew her, or even seen her before. A thousand questions whirled through his head but the one that came up the most grew stronger. 'Who are you?' he seemed to be half asking himself and half to Kin. This, after all the fire he had accidentally started which eventually caused his previous school to burn down, was by far the weirdest power he had felt. He had all these years tried to cover up any "accidents" that had occured to pretend he wasn't losing his head but hearing voices was the last straw.

His body felt numb as his perfect, non-magical life that he had tried to live for all these years began to crumble. He couldn't face the truth that he wasn't normal, that he could be like everyone else if they didn't see anything. Entering this school was his final mistake that would prevent him from getting his normal life back, before all the magic and the fires. But Kin just stood there like nothing had happened and then he realised. He tentitavely straightened up.

'C-can you hear me? My thoughts, can you hear them?'
Kinara froze at Danny's reply. She hadn't said that out loud. Danny looked as confused as she felt, and then, slowly, he began to look terrified.

'...who are you...'

'Oh my God,' Kin thought. 'He doesn't know.'

'...can...you...hear me?...my thoughts...can you hear them?'

Kin closed her eyes. She was starting to panic as well, and that was not a good thing. Still, she felt like she was going to cry as she looked him in the eye and thought, very clearly: 'Yes. I can hear you.'

She opened her mouth, and her voice cracked as she said, "But it doesn't make sense..." Artemis and Apollo hadn't had this kind of link, had they? She couldn't remember...and she had no clue how to control it. Kin looked down and blinked hard. Dammit. She didn't know how the hell to approach this delicately.
'... Oh my God... he doesn't know...'

The words were becoming more clear now that it was being used more often. Danny's head spun. He now felt dizzy at these words. He stumbled dangerously when he heard these words but balanced himself again.

'What don't I know?'

He looked hard into Kin's eyes and saw that this was not a usual thing for her either. It was new for both of them, but why them? What did they have in common? He remembered something that she had said. Artemis? He thought back to history class when he was taught Greek mythology. What had that got to do with anything? He head became dizzy again. Maybe if he could sit down for a moment and think things over it could help.

He rested his head back against the wall. Who knew telepathy would take so much energy out of you. His vision unfocused as he looked up blankly at Kin.

'No, it doesn't make sense at all.' and his vision faded to black and nothing mattered any more.
Hearing Danny's confusion didn't help Kin's state of mind. If anything, she felt guilty, though for what specifically, she wasn't sure. How could he have gotten this far in life without becoming aware of his past life?
But she was stalling; avoiding his gaze wasn't going to help. But how could she explain this predicament without understanding it fully herself?
She heard a soft thump and looked up to see Danny crumpled on the ground. She was at his side in an instant, bare feet forgotten. Panic made her chest tight again, but it eased as she saw he was only sleeping. Probably passed out from mental and emotional exhertion.
'I'm feeling pretty exhausted myself,' she thought. It was turning into a long day. She looked back down at Danny.
'Apollo...Danny...I'm so sorry.' There it was again. Thoughts...feelings...Were they hers, Kinara's? Or Artemis's? Was there a difference? Kin felt like she was losing pieces of herself, and getting new ones she didn't want.
She sighed, frustrated with her thought processes.
"I'll explain everything to you when you wake up, I promise," she said to the comatose boy and rose, running back to the doors and throwing them open. "Hey! I need some help out here!" she called, hoping the group had not moved too far.
((I know I've kinda left this minute but I'm going away for a while. I'll be back for the 4th of January but until then Danny is gonna remain unconcious. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and all that jazz lol. See you in the new year biggrin ))
"Hey! I need some help out here!"

Arielle's ears pricked up. It was Kin's voice, it seemed. She could help, she supposed. Kin seemed better than some of the others, at least. And Danny was with her, she assumed. The boy didn't seem to horrible.

Well, anything was better than this god-awful tour.

Another little flash of noise coursed through her already aching head. Something's wrong with Danny? she realized, a very, very slight look of... well, something other than boredom... crossing her face.

"This tour is essentially useless," she said airily, "You haven't shown me anything of use. Fine. I'll just have to find it myself later." With that, she turned on her heel and headed off after Kinara and Danny. Frankly, it might be interesting to see the reunion of the ancient pair of twins... once the male half had any idea what in hell what was going on.
Kin smiled slightly as she saw Arielle come to help.
"Danny's collapsed out here," she said. "Can you find out where the infirmary is from that secretary woman?" Looking past the girl with mild annoyance, she continued, "And possibly get someone to help me carry him? I'm in good shape, but not that good. Unless you volunteer?" She smiled at the former goddess of wisdom before returning to Danny's side.

((Wow...come on people, let's not let this die yet!!))
