Hundreds of years go by and Vampires have made themselves known throughout the world
Though Humans have made peace with the Vampires,a strong rift still divides them

Most Vampires have been reduced to feeding on animals while small Covens stick to the old ways and feed on Humans

Prologue

Viscen stood in the wreckage of his mansion
His hands clenched into fists as they dripped with blood,he did not know if it was his blood on his hands,nor did he care.
He looked into the darkness and saw several of his friends get shot down by soldiers

"Viscen!"A voice called out for him
He looked up to see a girl around his age,run towards him.
"We need to get out of here!"She screamed as she tried to pull him away from the fighting

BANG!

Viscen looked at the girl as she fell to the ground,blood pouring out of her mouth as the holy water bullet took effect

Viscen dropped to his knees
"You killed her...them...everyone..."He whispered to a soldier who had his gun pointed to Viscens head

He jumped forward and killed several soldiers,including the one who killed his beloved bride

Sasha hid behind the bunker, afraid to fight, afraid to move. Tears of blood rolled from her eyes. She had just witnessed a thousand deaths and was afraid to fight in case she killed the innocent. Her sloppy fighting was only used when it was her against the rest. She heard shouting.
She took the gun and ran through the smoked filled air, she heard a familiar scream, "Dont die on me Robb." she screamed.

"Hmph." Raine brushed her dark bangs from her eyes and adjusted her choker in the mirror of the club bathroom. The pounding music outside was muted by the closed door and the bright fluorescent light up above buzzed with cold stark contrast to the flashing pink lights just outside the door. As usual, her bangs fell ever so slightly in front of her eyes. She needed to get them trimmed soon. It looked somewhat sexy with her dark hair shrouding one eye, but to her it was just a nuisance. She sighed and tugged on her skirt. She walked out into the club. She closed her eyes and danced along with the pulsing techno, her hips moving and her back arched as she danced away every irritation and disappointment she had experienced that week. Her dance moved in tandem with the music...yet, when one looked at her, it seemed like she was the only one in the room...lost in her own world.

Twenty years had passed since that day
Viscen walked through his mansion,his footsteps echoed as the sun began to rise

Since he wasnt born a Vampire,the sun didnt effect him like it does for most Vampires
He opend the door to his library and placed a book back in the shelf

Birds chirped outside as Viscen walked out of his library,looking around sadly
"If only they were here..."He said with a sad smile on his face

Sasha woke with a bang, A dream.. she thought. Looking out her window she moaned as it was still daytime and she couldn't go out. She looked at the picture on her bedside table, a young boy smiling with his hand around her. She was the happiest she had ever been with him. She dragged herself into the living room and tried to work the television, having no luck, she began to read.

Raine sat up in bed. Her feet sore from dancing the night before. Her head was still pounding with the music as she took a shower. She walked out, dressed a lacy black top and black skinny jeans with that same black choker around her neck. The scent of jasmine clung to her pale skin as she walked down the street in her black converse hi-tops. She walked to the library, hoping to find a book on the assorted works of Sophocles in order to research her character as Antigone.

Viscen bit into an apple as he opend the newspaper
A loud bang on the window sent him flying under the table to avoid any gunfire
The trauma he experienced had affected his mind to the point where he couldnt be around loud noises

"Dammit!"He said angrily as he walked over the what slammed into his window

A dead crow lay under his window,its neck snapped when it colided with the glass
"Poor thing"Viscen whispered as he drew the curtains
That had been the third time that week for him and he knew that a crows death was a bad omen

Sasha picked up her mobile, she dialled in a number. She waited for them to answer, she needed a new book but didn't have the patience to go that night, "Hey will you get me a book from the library again?" she sighed into the phone.
