Luki smiled when Iris relaxed with the snake in her hand, allowing it to curl up and even stroking it a bit. He was a little surprised that she hadn't remained afraid of the creature for too long, but figured it was in her nature to be gentle to most living things. And that wasn't necessarily a bad quality for a human, it usually meant you lived longer. Or you were cut down easily by someone who fancied you their enemy, but that probably wouldn't be the case for the girl.

When Iris was finished holding the little snake, she lowers her hand to the ground near the bushes, "Now you take care of yourself. Stay out of trouble." She watches as the little snake uncoil itself from her hand and make it's way back to the shade of the shrubbery. As it leaves, she wonders if she'll see it again. If so, will it be the same one? Or are there others close by?

Luki watched as Iris released the snake, the serpent slithering back to the cover of the bush. He didn't blame the creature, the sun was at an angle that could make the little guy bake if he wasn't careful. The genie shifted his position and looked back up to the sky, finding himself wishing that there were large, fluffy clouds instead of the little whispy ones. Well, he wasn't great with weather so he'd let it be.

Iris smiles and turns to Luki when the snake is out of sight. She saw him gazing up at the sky, making her smile gently. Wanting to relax, but didn't want to lay down in the sandy dirt again, she shifts herself so she can lay her head on Luki's lap, more towards his knees. She wasn't tired, but she just wanted to relax and listen to everything around her. It was so wonderful having Luki's company, wondering how she lived without someone for so long...

Luki was pulled from his musings by the sensation of a weight resting on his lap, causing him to glance down for the source. Iris had laid her head there, more toward the knees than anything but her head was still there. Had it been any other kind of master and he would have been rather offended or put off, but somehow since it was Iris, it didn't bother him. Luki returned his attention to the sky, content to just be silent for the time being.

Feeling relaxed, Iris smiles, "I'm glad I found you, Luki." She truly is glad. Sure, there were other palace workers to communicate with, but she felt like such an outsider. And, most of the time, she was too busy working to truly talk with anyone. To truly get to know them. She may have fellow co-workers, but as time went by after her mother's death, they became more distant. Unintentional, of course. Everyone just moved on to their normal every day life. Her mourning period was over and she even moved on, herself. But now that she's found Luki, it was like she found a new friend. Someone she can confide in and be herself. She didn't care that he was a genie and that he was able to grant her wishes. That didn't truly matter to her. Him just being there was a blessing.

Luki stayed silent after hearing Iris' declaration that she was glad to have found him. He wasn't upset by her words, in fact his feeling about them was quite the contrary, but he'd never had a master tell him that. Mostly the genie was viewed as a curse or nuisance, sometimes even a simple tool. He honestly didn't know how to react to it, and so he stayed silent for several minutes before speaking up.
"I'm glad then." Luki replied simply without taking his gaze from the sky.

Iris' smile brightens and nuzzles against his legs, sighing. Content. Her thoughts then switch to what she can wish for to make Luki happy. It was hard for her to think of ideas since she really doesn't have anything she truly wants. He already is fulfilling a secret wish already with just being there with her. Sure, she could wish she was of a higher station, but she knows she could never fit the part. She was born a pauper and knows she wouldn't fit in with the higher ups.

Luki didn't seem much fazed when Iris nuzzled his legs and in reality wasn't much bothered by it. He figured it was part of her need to touch others and so, did not read into it much. Well, it seemed that things had turned out rather well this time around. Luki had gotten a master who, if not a little wish-shy, was a decent person and who actually treated him equally. That hadn't happened...well ever in the genie's career and the change was welcome.

Before long, Iris began to feel tired...and eventually had fallen asleep with her head on Luki's lap. The weather was nice, they were among the plants, away from the rest of the palace. She couldn't help but doze off lightly from relaxing.
