Luki found himself floating about his lamp after a few more minutes, figuring Iris would summon him when needed. Sure, he could leave the lamp on his own but he was actually enjoying staying in for once. Though the genie wasn't one to be cooped up for long, the idea that there was someone just outside who could release him made it all the more bearable.

Thanks to her work being done, Iris begins to wonder about her life now that she has Luki. Will her days be like this? If so...what kind of life will she be leading? What else is there to do? It's not like a girl of her station has any freedom to do as she wishes. Even if she has a genie, she doesn't know where she should take her life....

Luki began summoning random objects and causing them to float about just as he was. No need to go without practice in his downtime after all. Practice made perfect and not to mention it passed the time.

Iris reaches up to rub the miniature lamp, but decides not to again. She was so afraid she was going to wake him up. With a sigh, she lays her hand back down. It wasn't like he took that much pleasure listening to her rantings...He only wants wishes from her...She turns to her side, trying to think of things she can wish for so she can continue to make Luki happy.

Luki continued to play around in his lamp, paying little mind to what he was doing. He was rather adept at floating multiple objects and even leaving some to their own devices as Iris had experienced. Speaking of which, he began to wonder what in the world was going on with the girl. She hadn't summoned him yet, for company as usual, and he was actually beginning to wonder about their situation. Did she hate him or find him to be a jerk because of his assessment? Probably. Most masters found Luki to be a handful or offensive in one way or another. Even with that knowledge, why was he even worried about it? It was a normal thing for him that shouldn't be looked into, yet he found himself doing the opposite of expected. Well this was peculiar.

Iris noticed how thirsty she was, but she doesn't want to leave this spot yet...She thinks it over and reaches up to brush her finger against the miniature lamp.

The thing that struck Luki as peculiar about the whole situation was the fact that he actually cared about whether or not Iris hated him. She was a sweet girl and he imagined it would be hard to earn her hate and that alone was what made the prospect so unnerving. The genie didn't have much time to think on it further as his left eye twitched. There was the summons he was waiting for. Luki issued forth from his lamp with a smaller amount of orange smoke than usual, but with the same level of floating. They were in a secluded area after all.
"What can I do for you?" Luki asked with a smile.

((I'm off to bed. Have a good night, everyone. biggrin ))

Iris smiles when she watches Luki appear. She pats the ground next to her again, "I think I have a wish. It's a small one, but much appreciated." She smiles, "I wish for something cool to drink. I will leave it up to you as to what it is. You have been so many places. You even introduced me to strawberries." Her smile brightens, anxious to see what he comes up with.

Luki sat down on the ground next to Iris when she patted it, figuring it would probably put her in a better mood if she was cross. When she wished for a cool drink and left it up to him, his first instinct was to conjure up some wine or something equally, if not more, alcoholic. The genie quickly rethought this, figuring that if she wanted to get drunk she would have specified. Luki snapped the fingers of his left hand, a few sparks of orange magic darting away like tiny meteors set on zooming about in their own way rather than listening. They slowly formed a set of cups and a pitcher before returning to the genie. He poured some of the liquid into both cups, handing one to Iris. Upon sipping it, she would find that it was an exquisite tea that had a hint of blackberry to the flavor.

(( Night. ))

Iris watches Luki perform his magic yet again, always fascinating her. When he conjures a pitcher and a set of cups, she wonders what kind of drink he chose. She smiles when he offers her one of the cups, "Thank you, Luki." She takes in the aroma first, then takes a sip, savoring the flavor. "Mmmmmm this is really good. I've never had tea like this before." She smiles, sipping the tea, wanting to make it last and not waste a single drop.

"One of my old masters introduced me to this." Luki commented as he poured his own cup of tea and took a sip. "He was practically addicted to the stuff. It was almost comical really."
That addiction, of course, served to get the genie rather hooked on the stuff as well.

Iris takes a sip of the tea and giggles lightly, "So, you plan on getting me hooked as well?" She smiles, "I guess that means I'll be wishing for this more often." She takes another sip and purrs, "It truly has a wonderful flavor." She closes her eyes, savoring the flavor.

Luki chuckled at Iris' question before answering.
"Only if you find yourself getting easily addicted to things." He replied with a wry smile before taking a sip of his own tea. "It truly does."
When speaking of addictive personalities, the genie spoke from experience. His last master had gotten himself addicted to opium and had wished for it constantly. It was probably the reason the man went to an early grave, but Luki had never dwelt on it much. The past was past and that was all it was. Right?

Iris giggles, "Well, this is a good addiction. I don't think anyone has died from drinking too much tea." She smiles, "However, I'm sure there are many other teas out there that I have not discovered." She chuckles, realizing how much like her mother she was in that respect. Her mother also was a tea fanatic. Whenever some would be available, she'd continue making it until it was gone.

Luki nodded after Iris' observation. Tea was definitely one of the better things to form an addiction for.
"Same here." He said after her comment on the teas of the world that she hadn't tried.
Luki was barely discovering the easternmost teas, since he'd grown up in the west. Or at least, he assumed he'd grown up in the west.
