Iris stops for a moment and thinks. It finally dawned on her. She can wish them there! She looks to Luki, "I wish we for you and me to be outside in the gardens!" She thinks, "Preferably in a part of the garden where no one will see us..." She should be cleaning...not lazing about in the gardens...

Luki raised an eyebrow when Iris came to a sudden stop, but soon smirked once he saw the gears turning in her head. His smirk stayed put when she made her wish, actually making it rather specific. The genie snapped the fingers of his right hand and if Iris blinked, she'd find herself in a completely different place by the time her eyes opened. They were instantly in the garden, standing in a heavily grown area near a back corner. Actually moving from the spot would probably be a little difficult to do, as one would have to wrestle through a large bush to get to the path, but at least it was hidden.
"How's this?" Luki asked of Iris.

Iris stares around her in amazement as they're now among the flowers of the gardens, well hidden from the rest of the palace. She smiles,"Perfect!" She pulls Luki down to the ground and sits with him, leaning over to him, her eyes wide and curious, "Tell me about yourself!"

Luki grinned when Iris declared their location to be perfect, even if that meant he wouldn't be granting another wish any time soon. He was pretty surprised when she pulled him to the ground next to her and leaned close to him. The genie raised his eyebrow when she demanded to know about him.
"I'm a genie." Luki stated, gently pushing her forehead away with his right index finger so there was a more comfortable distance between the two. "What else do you want to know?"

Iris smirks, "That's not fair...I know you're a genie, but I want to know more about you! What things have you seen throughout your life? What's your favorite food? If you've ever had a love. If you could wish for anything in the world for yourself, what would it be?"

Luki thought over the things Iris said she wanted to know, figuring them to be more guidelines than actual demands. It became not a question of what answers to give, but a question of how much he could get away with not telling. The genie had never had a master so interested in his past, so he wasn't very open to the idea of spilling his guts to her just yet. For all he knew, his ownership could change in the next 4 minutes.
"I've seen a lot of things in my life." Luki began. "The rise and fall of nations, the falling away of old gods and the rise of faith in new ones, and this one really good juggler named Edouard."
He paused for a few moments, organizing his thoughts so he could properly speak to Iris without divulging anything specific.
"You already know what my favorite food is." Luki commented before continuing. "I don't remember if I've ever been in love and there's this one really specific thing I'd wish for, but I can't remember it for the life of me."
Amnesia was a pain sometimes.

Iris listens, happy that he's even telling her anything at all. She smiles and giggles lightly when he mentions a juggler named Edouard. She remembers something about strawberries being his favorite food, but wasn't sure if there was anything else that caught his fancy. Her smile fades, though, when he mentions how he can't remember if he's ever been in love and that he can't remember his wish. She looks sad, "Would I be able to wish for you to remember? That is...if you'd want me to..."

Luki thought over Iris' question for a good while, trying to remember if he'd ever cast a similar spell. He had, but never on himself and most genies had a certain immunity to their own magic. In the end he decided that he didn't know any more than she did.
"I don't know." Luki replied with a shrug. "I've only ever cast a memory spell on another person, never myself. It could backfire."
He fell silent for a few moments, thinking over the possibility of trying to magically bring his memories back. That and whether or not he'd actually want to remember his past. Perhaps it had been forgotten for a reason.
"I'm not even sure I want to remember." Luki added with a half smirk. "I'm not really missing it after all."

(( @ Julia
It's fine, I'm running and doing a bunch of random things so I'm going to be posting sporadically for awhile too. ))

Iris frowns, "Oh...alright..." She felt like she wanted to help him in some way...but it seems it was harder than she thought... She sighs and sits there, doodling in the sandy dirt with her finger, trying to think of what else to say or ask Luki. It seems every question she asks, she only gets a vague answer...She then begins to wonder if she's boring him or if she's even wanted company. Sure, he stays because he's a genie and he follows wishes, but it makes her sad if she keeps him here against his will. Her eyes glance to Luki, trying to gauge his emotions through his actions and facial expressions. Would he be happier with a different master...? This thought made her sad...

Luki raised an eyebrow when Iris frowned and began doodling in the sand. Clearly that hadn't been the answer she was looking for. But what was he supposed to do, lie and risk messing up his head with his own magic? The genie had heard somewhere that honesty was the best policy and now he was beginning to wonder if that person had been a liar. He sighed lightly before falling back on the ground, folding his arms under his head and gazing upward at the blue sky with his amethyst eyes.
"I wouldn't worry about it if I were you." Luki said after a few moments of silence had passed between the two, his tone carrying its usual nonchalance. "I'm sure there's a reason that I don't remember much about my distant past. I've accepted that idea and it gives me some sort of happiness to think so."
No use in lamenting the long forgotten past, now was there?

Iris listens and nods, understanding what he means. She looks to him, eyes sincere, "Are you in any way unhappy with me being your master?" If she was going to get any answers, the direct approach should help...though, she's afraid of the answer...

Luki Veles

Luki blinked a few times at Iris' question, letting her words fully sink in before actually thinking of a response. No master had ever asked him that before, so the idea in itself was strange not to mention the seriousness with which she posed her question. He had to say, she asked some of the strangest questions for a human that found herself in ownership of a genie not 24 hours ago.
"You're definitely one of the better masters I've had, that's certain." Luki replied, his tone casual as usual. "Though it wouldn't hurt for you to wish a bit more."
Honesty is the best policy, right?
"I understand that you may have some reluctance in commanding me to do things because of your station, but you have to understand my position as well." He continued. "I am a slave, have been all my existence. To be a genie is to magically serve some lucky human regardless of who they may be. You're that lucky human this time around and so I have to serve you."
Or perhaps it was a need. He had found himself at some sort of a quandary the past day, what with Iris' reluctance to give commands and such. It was almost like being a servant to someone who wouldn't allow you to do your job.

Iris listens, turning away from Luki as he does. She nods when he gives her his opinion. When he's finished she looks back to him and smiles, "So this means...If I wish more, that will make you happier?" She leans over, her eyes looking up at him, almost like the look a puppy or kitten gives their owners. The cuteness. It would work, right? She'd become happy to make him happy and he'd be happy she was making wishes, wishes that would make her happy. She couldn't see how this wouldn't work.

Luki Veles

Luki smirked at Iris' assessment, which came complete with an adorable expression. She'd gotten a bit close again, but he was beginning to think it was just in her nature to do so.
"Essentially yes." He replied.
Wishes meant that Luki got to use more magic and that was always a bonus to him. There was just something about it that was almost addicting to him.
