A Rocky Road: I worked my way from the bottom with a sharp blade and sharper mind. Eventually he came to control the criminal enterprises inside the capital city of his homeland. However, in the end he counted it as a loss since what he really wanted was denied him.
The girl he wanted loved someone else, he killed her for it. The respect he wanted was given to another lesser being, and he began to smear that mans reputation. The one thing he couldn't change was the guards of the city coming down to destroy his life, and while he was hiding he found a way to get back at them.
He found two lamps while hiding in a dumpster, and he knew them for what they were.

A Rocky Road: Her mother was a worker in the palace until she had had an accident, which had taken her life. This left Iris all alone to fend for herself when she was 10 years old. However, some of the rest of the servants did what they could to help her out. However, with her ditsyness brings about misfortunes for her when working at the palace, there have been many times that she was close to being kicked out onto the street for something ditsy. But, her co-workers would always stick up for her and ended up helping her keep her job. She usually is close to getting fired at least one to two times a week.

On the Inside: Cyrus is a selfish being, and a very materialistic person. He cares for people in general but finds himself justifying his own desires. Due to good teachers in his upbringing, his sense of decency and propriety usually outweigh his selfish tendencies. Indeed his good manners and acquired charm have allowed him the boon of popularity. But the self deserving side lurks only moments away yearning for all things to be his.
All My Life: As a boy he was quite nimble on his feet and in his mind, his father favored the latter and he the former. So while he was being groomed as a statesman and leader, he took the liberty of leaping about the palace in most dangerous ways. (often leading to broken bones.) He was strictly forbidden from taking up a living as an acrobat and is now a warrior prince in training as his father would have it.

A Rocky Road: Treated well as a child and being raised by the best teachers gold could buy was a good start. And attention from his father had been a good move too, even if it was only to train him. Yet when Cyrus was not in use he was left to his own devices. Sometimes he would seek out others to spend time with, but what with strict security and ever running business about the palace no friend could stay to long, or wanted to. Lonely with only his tutors to guide him he grew, learning the mandatory etiquette, negotiation, handling of a weapon, and all manner of humanities from imported books. Only one tutor stands mentioning throughout his life, at the age of thirteen he was taken about the castle by minister Asaj, who taught him to talk to people. People of all station and of all ranks. At first Cyrus took ill to the teaching of Asaj the ambassador. He favored skills that would serve him directly and provide instant gratification such as sword fighting or painting. Asaj taught him that if he wanted things from other people (and surely he did) then the best way to go about it was to invest a little in them. It only takes a little trust and reliance upon a person to receive great results from their service.
When Cyrus’s tutelage was finished responsibility was heaped upon him.He was given many things to watch over and thrown headlong into the social and political climate known as government. By keeping Asaj now as an adviser he became superficially popular with the public, while his realms flourished. Now he seeks to lay low and pursie his own interests as a rising leader.

A Rocky Road: Rouge Rose took over her father's line of work ever since she was Fourteen. She enjoys being a merchant since she get's to see a lot of people. People always seem to call her Rose, or The Merchant. There's only a select few that call her Rouge Rose.

On the Inside: Cold and calculating, Agustus is a shrewd man who's path cannot be altered once he has set his sights on something. He will allow any obstacle to stop him from his goals and will manipulate whomever he can to achieve what he wants. He speaks with great eloquence and is difficult to trick, but not impossible to control
All My Life: Slave turned Scribe
A Rocky Road: Agustus was born in the far East, in a land that was barely touched by the Roman Empire. However, there was still that brief touch that landed him in the midst of a Roman slave market. He grew up a slave with little memory of where he had come from and not even his true name. As the years passed Agustus was bounced from owner to owner, getting a minute education as he went along until one night when he was the lost bet of a man who enjoyed gambling. He found himself in the possession of a merchant who lived in a sandy land and had always wished for a son. This man nurtured Agustus and taught him everything else he knows and even went so far as to get him a job in the royal palace as a scribe. One day the merchant came across a curious lamp that held a powerful and mystic being. The man grew attached to it, but was eventually blinded by his greed and tricked out of his ownership of the lamp. Agustus swore to the merchant, when the man was on his deathbed, that he would find this being, this genie, yet again and fix all that had gone wrong. He has kept a constant eye out for genies as he has worked in the palace, his position as the sultan's scribe giving him just enough resources at his disposal to do so.
