Luki grinned again when Iris asked how he fit in again, obviously still failing to understand completely. He couldn't blame her, the concept could be rather mind-boggling. The genie took the bread when it was offered him, it saved him the expenditure of magic to summon his own food.
"It's magic." Luki replied like it was the most obvious thing in the world before taking a bite of the bread.
It wasn't too bad.

(( And here I thought I was ahead of most everyone. If that's the case, some of y'all stay up pretty late. ))

Iris frowns, "That doesn't explain things at all..." Just saying it's magic doesn't explain how it works. She was curious. But, if he doesn't want to go into details, she won't pester him. She goes back to nibbling on her bread. Then a thought pops up in her head. Looking up at him, she looks worried, "Are you disappointed that I'm you...master?" She didn't like using that word, but what else was she? He told her a few times already that that was how it worked with being a genie. It was a master/servant relationship. She felt horrible.

((Yeah, I stay up til like...2:00am- 4:00am XD Not so much the later time. More like the 2:00am - 3:00am XD ))

Dyanna nodded her head and said her goodbyes. When his mirror blurred she blurred her own. "back to waiting" She said as she walked over to her canopies bed and jumped on it. "I guess i'll take a nap then. At least until i'm needed" She said and flicked her wrist to turn on music. She went to the top of her bed. She waved her hand sideways closing the canopies and then her emerald eyes.

Luki shrugged when Iris said his answer wasn't very explanatory, it wasn't like he could go into detail if he wanted. All he knew was that magic made him able to go in and out of the lamp and it had always been sufficient enough for him. The genie shook his head when Iris asked if he was disappointed in her being his master.
"Not at all." Luki replied casually.
Meryem Salima Abdallah
"Genie of Seduction and Order."

Meryem's delicate eyebrows furrowed at him, despite his nearly irresistable smile. Her lips pursed in a displeased way, unseen by his closed eyes. Her hand still traced across his chest, never stopping, as if nothing had happened. As if her enhanced genie's mind was not whirring as fast as immortally possiible.

There was obviously something hidden in his short replies. He seemed, even...reluctant, although he had not resisited her at all - so far, that was. Her hand stopped and flattened itself, palm down, against his skin. She rested her cheek against her propped arm again. "What I want to know about you is endless," she whispered, her tone of voice frighteningly passionate. She leaned towards his face, speaking more or less to him as her master. "You cannot even begin to understand how highly you fascinate me," she confessed, her whispers almost hurried. "Ever since the moment I appeared before you after you had summoned me; everything you have said, all that you have done - caught my interest in ways you could not comprehend." She paused to stare at him, her beautiful face twisted with perfect frustration - and all she wished was for him to understand. She had not meant for this to come out like this. The all-powerful, untangible genie of seduction - who had centuries on the oldest of genies - was not supposed to fall under this type of control; despite the irony in that. For centuries, she, although the genie to countless masters, had never been affected so much to the core by a seemingly insignificant mortal. The most frustrating confession of all: she did not know what it was that had changed her like this. She did not know why, and she did not know how to stop it.

Unexpectedly, she tore herself away from him (although her instincts screamed otherwise), and sat up on the wide bed, facing the other way. "You don't understand," she muttered, tears of frustration leaking out of her eyes. And even her tears were not enough to distract her; although she had not shed one for literal centuries.

{ Oh, well, then. I guess I just don't stay up late like some of you. >< Lol. But it's summer vacation for me now; I might be staying up a little longer. }
When she tore away from him after her confessior a few pieces of a puzzle he didn't know he was assembling suddenly fell into place. She was dealing with something she had thought gone, or perhaps non-existant, and it was scaring her. He had made her feel things that she wasn't use to, and as such she had approached it the only manner she knew how. The fact that she approached the manner by sleeping with him should have bothered him, but for some reason it didn't.

The other theory was that it was the genie equivalent of moon's blood, but he had already seen that that wasn't true.

"I wi..." he stopped. Just because you had a power didn't mean you needed to use it, and that was the secret to keeping your power. "Please, come back to me," he said, his arms open and waiting for her to fill them.

"I told you the truth, when I was a child I was just a child. I had a father who was not poor enough to be pitied, nor rich enough to provide for our wants while trying to earn the respects of city. Any interest you have in me will not be fufilled by knowing my past, but by knowing me as I am now," he said, putting more words together in that one statement than he probably had in an actual conversation for a very long time.

"Though if you have a question, I shall answer it as best I can. I promise this thrice." A promise had to be kept after that, breaking that rule was akin to making a deal with the devil.

Iris looks up to Luki and smiles gently. Happy with his reply. She nibbles a little more on her bread, thinking of what else to talk about. Looking up to him, she looks a little saddened, "What will you do while I'm gone...?" She doesn't want to leave him home alone with nothing to do. "Can you leave the lamp and travel? Or does it have to come with you?"

((Sry I"m so late. XD Friend kept me much longer than I thought. XD ))

Happily, Luki's answer seemed to brighten Iris' mood a bit. He opened his mouth to reply to her first question before closing it shortly afterward to listen to her next one. This resulted in a pause before the genie actually spoke.
"I have ways of occupying myself while you're gone." Luki replied before moving on her her second question. "But that doesn't always have to be the case. I can travel outside my lamp as long as it is kept in a secret and safe place, though it's usually preferable by most masters and their genies for the lamp to be in the possession of the master at all times."
That came from a desire of both masters and genies to keep ownership from transferring too quickly or suddenly. A genie could go nuts with frequent changes, so it was understandable.

(( It's no big. I've been a little busy actually. ))

Iris gives a little nod, "I see..." She thinks for a moment, then looks up to Luki, "Could you...transform your lamp. Change it's size? Easier for travel..." For some reason she could see herself keeping it safe as a charm or hair pin. Safely on herself. That way, he can stay in his little home whenever he wishes...and if she needs him, he'll be there. Which that thought warms her heart. She has felt alone for so long...since her mother died. She can't help but want to get to know Luki, wondering if he won't mind being friends with her.

Luki thought for a few moments before answering Iris' question. He hadn't ever been asked to alter the shape or size of his lamp, but he didn't doubt whether or not it could be done. He leaned back, starting to drift in mid-air like a cosmonaut aboard the Russian space station, as he thought. Finally, the genie came to a conclusion.
"I can change it's size, so long as you wish for it." Luki replied.
That was one of the more annoying rules of being a genie, limited magic casting outside of what one's master wished for.

Iris sits there and thinks. What should she have the lamp become? Her normal outfit would show off the necklace, causing higher ups to suspect she may have stolen something. She points to her ear, "I wish for you to shrink your lamp to the size of this bead, so that I may wear it as an earring." She smiles. She already wears an earring in one ear anyways. who's to say someone will notice the difference between the bead and the lamp?

Meryem Salima Abdallah
"Genie of Seduction and Order."

Meryem eyed his arms warily, no longer crying, but her ruby eyes showed traces of the painful confusion she was in. But, like most of the words that she had ever heard escape his lips, she found them to be truly sincere. She imagined that she, an immortal being, could sit for years pondering his words - and she would not be able to doubt them, no matter how hard she tried. How easy would it be to walk away from him? she considered painfully. Am I as powerful as I think I am - as powerful as a genie is expected to be? Would I ever be able to keep myself away from him, to avoid this confusion? She thought over this for a moment. No, I wouldn't. He'd stolen too much of me already. My servitude, my heart, my body, my trust - and half had been given willingly.

Unable to resisit him any longer, she enveloped herself in his arms, reveling in his warmth once again. She reached up with her neck and planted a kiss on his throat. "I'm giving you my heart," she whispered solemnly into his ear. "I ask for nothing in return; except for you to handle it with care." She smiled radiantly at him, locking him in her gaze. Her fingers toyed with his hair, and she ruminated what he had said earlier. Will he really give me a chance to know him as I wished? Her smile did not falter; there was little to dampen her mood now. Such a Master/Genie relationship had never existed before. It was a mystery to how it would turn out.

{ You honestly just figured out exactly how I meant for my character to be analyzed, without me having to explain it in my own post. That, right there, is what I call mad roleplaying skills. ><
Btw, did you know there is a saying in Arabic mostly invented by the Egyptian culture - 'Walahil atheem thalatha' - which translates to 'I swear to God three times/thrice'? You surprised me again by using a near equivalent of it.

Sorry I'm posting late;; I get frequently distracted. D< }
((I learned alot about Arabic culture by reading Dune and learning some things about religion >.> I'm just awesome enough to take lessons from everything I guess smile ))

Her reaction wasn't what he had expected, or rather it had been what he had expected, but not what he had been planning on. He had expected her to take longer in thinking through the thoughts inside of her, or perhaps to even outright deny whatever she might be feeling for a while. In many ways it just showed him that eternity did nothing to make one cautious, if anything it made one more reckless with the few important things you had.

What was life without excitement?

What was life without routine?

Unfortunately there often was no way to actually live while going through your routine, only a way to survive. To keep breathing.

He was turning into a philosopher. "Though you ask for nothing I will give you a gift in return," he said deadly serious in the way he spoke. "You give me your heart, so in return I give you my protection that I may keep you from all harm that may befoul you." It was probably a meaningless vowl to make to an immortal being, but that didn't make it any less potent.

He smiled, looking down at her as she snuggled against him. "Now, you never told me what you wanted to know about your master."
(( Awww XD So cute. <3 ))
