Iris calms down and looks up at him, her eyes still filled with concern, "Please tell me if I ever get like that..." The last thing she ever wants to become is someone like those masters Luki has had in the past...

"Blame him," the subconscious said, "because deep down he just wants to protect you. The jerk just makes me say it for him, and for the record it is very hard to fight against something which you don't even know exists." With that the creation of his mind stopped and turned on the genie. It stopped for a while, as if inspecting her fine frame, before nodding and looking at Usul. After another second of silence where they both just stared at eachother, before Usul finally nodded slightly.

"He'll fight better for the simple fact that he is human, and subject to the same emotions and the boosts that come from them," the subconscious said.

Luki smiled softly at Iris' request, a certain sadness behind his eyes. Good thing the angle hid them behind his dark glasses.
"I will." The genie replied.
But whether or not she'd listen to him by then was entirely up to her.

Iris nuzzles up into Luki, "Thank you..." She continues to nuzzle up to him, then sighs, smiling.

"You're welcome." Luki replied softly as Iris nuzzled up to him.
Oddly enough, he found himself hoping that she wouldn't turn out the way his other masters had. The genie wasn't sure he'd be able to handle it if he had another master lose a battle with a personal demon. Sure it was a common struggle for humans, but when amplified by a genie's powers it could become devastating.

"Protect me?" Meryem repeated softly, not understanding at first. But as quick as her mind was, she had pulled forward the familiar memory in no significant time. The day she had admitted that she was in love with him to him. She glanced back at the real Usul, his words resounding in her head.

"You give me your heart, so in return I give you my protection that I may keep you from all harm that may befoul you."

She turned back to the subconscious as casually as she could manage - while her heads churned this over - and told him, as-a-matter-of-factly: "Yeah, but he has already told me that himself. He promised me his protection a long time ago." And sorry, but that wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear, she added mentally, her mood dampening a bit.

But their secretive, almost meaninful glance distracted her. She looked back and forth between them, suddenly self-conscious. Never before had she ever felt self-conscious. The feeling caught her off-guard, and she let out a guarded "What? at whichever one who could answer her.

She listened carefully to his explanation, nodding in comprehension. "Then what are we waiting for? Can we please get this over with? I need those demons gone." You don't know how much I do, she added silently, reaching up to touch Usul's cheek with her fingers. I love you, she wanted to say; but couldn't allow the words to come out of her mouth. "And now," she added almost aggressively, facing the subconscious expectantly.

Iris smiles and closes her eyes, hoping Luki doesn't mind her all snuggled up to him as she is now. But it bothered her that he doesn't have faith in her to not turn out like his previous masters. She sighs, then firms her resolve. She will make sure to NOT turn out like his other masters!

Luki simply sat there, letting Iris nuzzle against him as he thought things over. He hoped that she wouldn't ever turn out as bad as the others, but couldn't help the feeling that it was entirely possible. The genie wanted to have more faith in his master, truly he did, but humans were such fickle creatures that he found himself knowing that it would probably be worse for him in the end to have blind hope. If only humans weren't so...depressing to analyze.

Rouge Rose

After putting the coins, from both of them, in a pocet in her robe, and reciving the bangle, Rose answered Dyanna and said,"Thank you and, his name is Rete. Your Anthos is a very cute." She smiled, and then turned to Damian, and shrugged. "One from my family must be that way, I suppose. The job has been passsed down for generations."

Rete saw Anthos and decided to get a closer look. With in reasons, of course, so he jumped onto the counter and looked at Anthos closer, stil with an apple silce. He looked at it, and then at Anthos, and then again. He slowly offered the apple silce to him.

She walked to a corner in her store and brought back a basket of gems for Damian to look over. "Ach." She said,"A riddle. I was never very good at them, and I'm not any better, but I will try." She thought about it for a while and then sighed. "Looks like I won't be solving any riddles anytime soon."

Iris' stomach interrupts the strange mood, making her giggle, "I think it's time to eat...." She pulls away from him and thinks, "Mmmm....what kind of food should I wish for?" She looks to Luki and smiles.

Dyanna strated to eat the strawberry in her hand, finishing it to take the banlge. "thank you sweetie" She said flipping it around to slid it on her wrist. Showing a bit of flash like her old dancer days. She watched the little ferret come closer. Her ocelot took a gently swipe at him, not even extending his claws. She saw the ferret offer the apple. She smirked. "He only eats meat, sugar" She told the ferret watching him scurry away.

Luki shrugged when Iris asked what she should wish for, not having much of a clue on it.
"Whatever you want." He replied. "I'm not hungry."
The genie didn't know why, he just wasn't.

Iris looks to Luki, "You've been around for so long. What kinds of foods have you come across? I want to try something new!" She smiles.

"Well..lots of things really." Luki replied, scratching his head as he tried to think. "I guess if you ask me for a country, I can suggest foods from it."
He honestly couldn't think of a better answer than that.

Damian was shocked just a little when the girl came over with a basket of jewels. But he quickly returned his jaw to the upright position. "I should expect no less from you," he chided himself.

His hand fished around inside the basket searching for a dark blue stone, a purple or azure stone and perhaps an onyx. He spotted several but he was looking in particular for a hexagonal or diamond style cut. His other hand reached to the same table that the gold chains were on and picked up two. He held them in plain sight just to be sure he wasn't trying anything funny though.

"A small grin lit his downturned face, "Think like a merchant and it will come to you, Just like most riddles this one has a treasure behind it."
