In the town of Rubia, there were twins born to the happy couple of Serena and Thomas Willows. This happiness was soon extinguished, when one of their new bundles of joy was taken from them, involved in a hospital mix-up. You see, their was a baby who had died that day, but they thought it was one of the twins and they gave the couple who had actually lost their baby the twin. So Serena and Thomas mourned for their 'dead' daughter and decided to keep the fact from the twin that they had.

The twins grew, each with magic because they were sorceresses. The two have just met and cannot believe how much they are alike one another, since they do not know they are twins. Before they have time to ponder the perdicament, evil forces show up, wanting to capture the twin girls. Unknown to the forces of evil, the girls and their friends each have a gaurdian that has watched over them since they were born, who will do anything in their power to protect their charges.
