Welcome to Gaia! ::

A lone woman sat cross-legged beneath a lone tree on the Gold Shores. Her eyes focused in on the bright sapphire waves as they crashed onto the shore. It never occured to her that she was not alone, for the animals in the close vincinity kept a close eye on her. The short whispy strands of her dark brown hair whipped across her face. Honestly, she thought it was a nuesance, but alas, there was nothing she could do about it. The sun colored the sky many different colors. She would often wonder why the sun made these colors, even though her education has explained it many times over.

The woman crawled back on her feet. She had no place to stay. A common home for her was the guest bedroom of an old couple's cabin. Many times she would ask herself why she hadn't settled down yet. The answer was simple, why should she settle down when there is the whole world to see? Though, she has already seen much of the world she already wanted to see. Her head shifted toward a path leading somewhere in the forest. It looked new to her, although she didn't take the time to look around at the forest when she sat on the sandy shores.

"I wonder where that little trail leads to," Her words rolled off her tongue. She was always ready for adventure. A few birds fluttered away after she spoke. The tempo of her walk was fairly quick for how relaxed she was, it didn't take long for her to get to about the middle of the trail. A fork in the trail halted her, she usually didn't come upon these. She took a few steps toward each side trying to peer down each trail, hoping to see what was down it. The sound of leaves being moved around almost made her holler. A chipmunk scurried down the trail heading to the east.

"Is this some sort of sign?" Her teeth were kept shut tightly as she muttered these words. It probably was her lucky day. She chose the east trail to head down. The scenery became more and more beautiful as she walked on. Her walking speed increasing little by little until she was full-on running. Her dark camo green shorts were snagged on a few branches as she ran, while her shirt already had holes from moths.

A large gate appeared a little down the trail. This wasn't on her map, not even the beach was on her map. The gates seemed to be open. That's a great idea. Leave the gates to your private home or whatever it is open. Then it occured to her. Maybe these were sort sort of ruins. It wouldn't make sense for everything looked fairly new. She entered the mysterous place. When she saw how new it looked her jaw dropped, For a moment she thought she was trespassing. Another person was inside this place, a man. Her eyes carefully made its way across the room to him. If he asks my name remember to give a fake one. She made her way toward a stool, and sat herself down on it.

Sieg ecstuffuan
"Heh!"

Sieg would bounce into his fighting stance which was loose yet coiled like a spring. His left foot moved forward to the left to square up and widen his stance. He stood on the balls of his feet, bouncing his heels up and down with his toes pointing slightly inward. His knees were bent with his trunk sunk and his chest faced forward.

Sieg would move his hands down to pull up at his pants legs just above his knee to better position himself for battle. Siegs hands would then move up in front of his face in a boxers guard.

"Thanks for accepting"

((sure thing))

"Tighten up your stance!" He shouted, coaching the man in his way he guarded himself. He sauntered forth, gaining enough distance to shake the man's hand in respect. "Joe Evans, and you are?" He introduced himself; he returned back to Gaia from Valucre, the home of the eminent roleplayers.

"Sieg, Loosen up your stance.", He said through clinched teeth.

Sieg said in response with a smile. It was obvious that the man would have to show Sieg why he needed to loosen up . Sieg would move forward towards the opponent in turn. Rather than shaking his hand, Sieg would bound knuckles using his left hand, fighters didn't shake hands. Sieg would shuffle back to his original spot and then he would begin stepping to his right towards the opponents outside. It was Siegs looseness that allowed his quick footwork and quick footwork was essential to setting up the kicks and angles.

Thrice circled right keeping his distance at first, hands still plunged deep into his pockets. His sharingan observing his challenger's every move, and storing the movements calculating his probable attack pattern. Pulling his hands free from it's home in his pocket and holding it out in front of him he spread his footing further apart. He would jounce front to back some, hands raised chest level ahead of him. He had a barrage of assault tactics at his disposal, most of which were lethal. He would hold back for now and se where the fight went. In the mean time thrice leaped directly at his opponent, rotating his torso first then following fluidly with his hips for an airborn round house, directed at the face.e

Sieg would wait for nothing and he would expect nothing. Sieg did expect anything but instead he would be ready for everything and flow with the moment. Just like Siegs loose stance, the man was like water, constantly adapting to the container or the situation.

As soon as the man leapt forward, Sieg came forward just as quickly but rather than leaping he would shuffle foward, utilizing the footwork of a boxer or a fencer to close the distance with the opponent. Sieg would remain in contact with the earth, on balance and in complete control of his own momentum. Sieg would close the distance while he was in the beginning leap of the third jump, as he was throwing the roundhouse kick.

The roundhouse kick was an attack that moved in a circular path, Sieg would rather than defending would make an attack that rather than taking the longer path of a circle would take the path of a straight line. The fastest path to any point is in a straight line and based on this single principle Siegs kick would arrive at the target before the opponents landed.

Sieg would perform a straight push kick with the balls of his left lead foot. This attack was from the style known as muay thai, and was known as the teep kick. The opponents attack came from (unless your southpaw) his rear right foot, while Siegs attack came from the closer lead foot. Sieg would lift the mostly straight leg directly up at the target, while pushing out with his hips, making for a faster attack. He would attempt to strike the area between the opponents belly button and his groin. With his arms up at chest level, he would have difficulty blocking the strike.

The target for the strike was known in the spiritual martial arts as the tan tein and was the connection point between a persons body and soul. Physically striking at this target, can potentially cause disruption to any spiritual attack if one was potentially in use.

If the strike landed, the opponent would be pushed back, out of range for the right roundhouse kick.

If the strike failed, then Sieg always had his guard up...

Thrice's leg extended fully and had begun to recoil as he completed his kick rotation, just as the lead foot came into contact with his own abdomen. There was a sinking feeling deep within his chest as h felt himself be compressed from the force of the straight kick. A brief flash of frustration shone within with golden hue'd eye as he simple attack had bee averted and countered almost effortlessly by some one of Sieg's size particularly. Luckily for the young shinobi, this was not the last chance he would have to utilize his skills during this bout. Body, soul and mind combine to link in an array of internal;l lighted chakra points, naked to the human eye as Thrice quickly became nothing more than a quickly fading plume of smoke. In his place, a simple wooden log.

'Replacement Jutsu!' He shouted, his voice stable toned and calm as he reappeared behind his opponent with a left to right, leg sweep aimed at the mid calf... Agile and quick witted Kellen Thrice, Shinobi Assassin was going to put up a fight for sure. It was not only a test of himself as a hero in response to many of those in the area, but also, if he were to lose the consequences that rippled from that fight would be more difficult then they were worth.
"Ninja...Heh"

Sieg said when he saw the familiar puff of smoke surround his missed teep. Sieg would hop, utilizing his stationary bent right leg while quickly bringing his left foot back to the original position, putting himself back on balance. The hop would cause the sweep kick to cruise harmlessly under his right leg.

Siegs right foot was up and he would face the opponent, not by turning all the way around but by simply shifting into south paw with a quick half rotation, while simultaneously bringing his right foot back down in between the opponents legs.

Rather than thrusting his foot for a target, Sieg would thrust his foot in between the opponents footing, which was left wide due to his sweeping kick.

After penetrating the opponents stance Sieg would utilize a technique from the martial art known as Jeet Kune Do. This technique was popularized by Bruce Lee, and is known as the lead straight or the DRAGON CANNON. As explosively as a cannon with no body movement telegraphing the attack his right fist would shoot forward from its position at the opponents exposed left side kidneys beneath his left arm. Sieg would twist into the blow with his hips and would utilize his own forward momentum to deliver a crushing force [attempt].

"WAH-TAH!"

The fact [attempt] that Sieg penetrated the opponents stance would make it difficult to make any other movements other than back, and would help keep the opponent off balance.

Thrice shifted his weight to the side, allowing his striking foot to complete it's swing and tuck back underneath him. This left him in a crouched position just ahead of his opponent as the mighty blow came straight home to hit him. Thrice would simply tuck his elbow into his ribs and hold on as the blow would slam into his guard. This ended up in sending him sliding back a few feet before he flipped back into a hand spring, landing several yards outside the man's attack range.

Pulling a kunai from his belt in one hand he would focus for an opening. As the man's throat came into clear view he would take a quick shot from a distance. The kunai sang a sweet tune as it sliced through the air moving at high speed, almost as if it had been launches by some sort of machine. Precise and calculated, he rarely missed.

Sieg was going to try to avoid using his abilities in this fight. He wanted to show this man his martial art before he showed him his spiritual art. So to counter the bullet like kunai coming at him Siegs hand instinctively went for his Gi, and in a single pull of his right hand he would pull most of the Gi off, ripping it where his left sleeve was as if it were paper. This would serve as a testament to Siegs physical strength.

He would then utilize the now derelict heavy material to swat the kunai away by utilizing the heavy fabric to catch the kunai in their tight weave. This was a tactic Sieg learned when studying european martial arts as a method of avoiding arrows utilizing a cape.

Sieg would spin the now weighted cloth once around and would use the cloth to throw the kunai back at the man. The kunai would not fly straight or precisely but it would serve as a distraction for Siegs forward assault.

Sieg would get into boxing range with his guard up and having switched to orthodox left lead. He would then attempt to step on the opponents lead foot with his left foot, a technique borrowed from dirty boxing.
Alfred crossed the courtyard, heading for the lab, his stomach and messenger pack both full of still warm food rations. He happily sang an old sea-shanty he'd heard in his travels that had become inexplicably stuck in his mind.

'Hopefully Kellen won't mind too much that I helped myself to the walk-in freezer. I cleaned up after myself, and if he wants me to pay him back I can always build him something or fix something else or maybe modify still something else.'

As he thought, Alfred sang even louder;

"What do ye do with a drunken sailor? What do ye do with a drunken sailor? OH! What do ye do with a drunken sailor, early in the mornin'! Shave his belly with a rusty razor! Shave his belly with a rusty razor! OH! Ye shave his belly with a rusty razor, early in the mornin'!"

Alfred trailed off as he took note of the fighting between Kellen and a older gentlemen near the front gate. After a moment, he set down the bag and ran the short distance that remained between himself and the lab. Unlocking the door, he quickly jogged inside and stepped into the deactivated suit of armor on the floor. Pressing the activation stud, the armor's segmented plates wrapped around Alfred and locked in place. He quickly activated the suit's agility functions and strength enhancers as well.

Seven hundred pounds heavier and several hundred times stronger than before, Alfred stepped outside and strode over to the location of the scuffle, clanking and whirring along the way.

"Hey. Are we having an issue here or is this exercise?"

'No Al, just a friendly competition no worries.' He said not taking his eyes of the movements of his opponent, his sharingan recording and calculating his movements, preparing him ability to duplicate any attack he unleashes. Thrice sprang back, bringing his knee almost to his chest, avoiding the dirty move to trap him in place to deliver god knows what sort of punishment. With his hands in Sambo style guard Thrice leaped up aiming straight for Sieg's chin though his guard, this was a fast fluid motion and to most it would look like a straight flying knee, but as he came deep into Sieg's guard Thrice would drop his knee rotating his body and delivering a sweeping knee to the side of his head. If Sieg was able prepare to guard against one attack and then another then Thrice was prepared to land inside his guard with his hands up ready to either defend or deliver more blows, depending on Sieg's reaction.

The opponent was about to learn about the martial concepts of inside/outside and shortweapon/longweapon. The concept was very simple. Don't use short weapons on the outside. The knee strike, was a short weapon and the opponent was leaping up at Sieg from the outside, therefore he was using a short weapon on the outside. Sieg would upon reading the attack, respond and teach him why this was a bad idea.

Sieg would not guard but would instead respond with a high teep while leaning back to help thrust his left foot forward at the target of the opponents lower abdomen. The quick long thrust kick from the lead leg would be delivered with the balls of his left foot.

The teep would land first because Sieg was delivering the blow with the longer weapon (the fully extended leg versus the bent knee), therefore as the opponent jumped in to deliver the knee before the knee ever got in range his left foot would hit its mark first. The power of the blow would be suffecient to reverse the opponents momentum, Sieg would have to bend his right knee to sink his center of gravity low enough to not be pushed off balance.

Because of the backwards lean, even if the teep was somehow to miss the knee would miss as well. Sieg would then recover his left foot into place and he would step forward with his right foot and then unleash a left low lead muay thai roundhouse to the outside of his right thigh. Sieg would angle the attack downward at an angle so that he could shift his weight into the blow. He would deliver the attack with the shin.

If the blow landed it would deal damage to a very large and important set of muscles, the right quads.

Thrice was dealing with a professional, taking advantage of any openings he was capable of. The teep sunk deep into his stomach, knocking the wind out of him nearly as he was thrust back to the ground rolling forward from the blow. He would hit the ground hard nearly smacking his forehead to the ground as he attempted to level himself out, sliding a few feet on his hands and knee. That hurt, a lot. Taking a deep slow breath he stood to find the next blow coming in fast. Sidestepping left and away from the blow it would connect with the end of the foot grazing his shin. His hands back up to guard the next series of attacks Thrice circled to his right to close the distance ducking somewhat keeping his chin tucked. Leaving his left top defend his face and ready to lower for a body hit Thrice swung for Sieg's ribs hit fist whistling as it fired. If it connected he was ready to alternate guarding hands and fire off a high left, then a high right, low left. Switching the target areas made this flurry difficult to maintain a guard against ALL the attacks. His size compared to Sieg's was considerable but nonetheless he had heavy hands
