Alec's head lifted quickly and then he looked at his hands again. "Alladon showed Junie something..." He paused. "Oh! Junie is his girlfriend...But he took her to a lake...back in the forest. The sun was setting over the lake....and it reflected..." Alec smiled a little. "That's the prettiest thing I've ever seen..."

Alec stayed quiet, he wasn't sure what to talk about and he didn't want Cricket to know what he had thought.

Cricket grinned. "I think I've seen them before! They're kinda cute together, I must admit... though, I couldn't help but think that she looked a little.. mediocre, compared to him. And I know, that's an awful thing to say, and I don't mean that they shouldn't be together but.. human and vampire.. I remember watching those humans plan their escapes. I used to wonder what they did; they'd meet in this little house and whisper amongst themselves. Then one night I saw them trying to make a hole in that wall of theirs and I had to know, so I sneaked in and listened to them. They wanted to meet us. But there were so many of them that hated us, I never thought they'd get out. Then Alladon's girl...well, she surprised me, to say the least. Romantic, really." She shrugged, and her far-off, quiet tone disappeared. "Are you still hungry, or do you want to take a walk or something?"

(( Dear lord, lady! DEAR LORD! You guys went about 30 pages ahead of the whole RP without me posting, just reading -my fault, all my fault- and now all of a sudden you ask me if I want to start? I feel like I'd be jumping in!
Of course I do~ One question: how long has it been since the creatures and humans made peace? ))

(( A'ight... I'd say around 2 years since the humans basically conquered and kicked out the Avians. They're not really at "peace", but everyone's afraid of each other and the humans seem to be stronger than they look. While hell broke loose, some of the creatures sneaked into the city. Anyone obvious was pretty much kicked out unless they signed a personal treaty with the Leader, others just tried to blend in, or stayed hidden like Nami. Sooo yeah, now the city's back to normal except a VERY few obvious creatures lurking around, and maybe a few more not-so-obvious ones.

Ohh and Rikky! While I was at Shroom's house yesterday, How Far We've Come came on the radio and we both totally rocked out to it, blaring it through the speakers.

Some people are only alive...

Mira leaned against the gate, one hand over her stomach and holding her gun, the other dangling by her side. She gritted her teeth just barely, looking around. She often stared past the gate, almost hoping for a creature to come into sight so she could just fire one little threatening shot at them. She rolled her eyes and sighed. This was the most boring job in the world.

Her hopes were finally granted and she saw a winged boy beyond the gate, not taking any notice that it was there. Lazily, she fired a shot just past his head. He spun around, and she noticed the expression on his face barely cared that if he were an inch or two closer, he would have been killed. He looked toward her and smiled. She raised an eyebrow. "Creature," she said firmly. "you don't belong around here."
"Is it a crime to go for a stroll?" he asked, frowning a little.
"It is on my turf." she said, placing one hand on her hip. "Get out of here."
"Awh. I'd rather stick around a little longer, if you don't mind."
"I mind very much." she said, tapping her gun on her leg. "You have plenty of space out there to not be in my eyesight. Your presence irritates me. What in blazes are you?"
The boy bowed respectfully. "Just call me a fallen angel. My name is Ryu."
"Get out of here, Ryu."
Ryu merely smiled. "I'm not as much of a creature as you think I am."
"You're not human, either."
"Tell that to my..." he blinked and stared into space. She tapped her foot impatiently. Then he grinned jokingly. "Great-great-great-great--"
"Let's go with ancestors and save my time!!"
Ryu shook his head. "Rodo doesn't like you already. He was human through and through. Would you have called him a creature because he had wings and powers as well?"
"You're wasting my time!" she fired another shot at him, which he stealthily dodged. "I can see that." he said calmly. "Well, miss, if you wish..." he smiled and turned his back to her, flying off. Angrily, she fired several more shots at him, all of which missed him by a feather.

...Because it's illegal to kill them.

Feeling a bitxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

A bitter chuckle sounded from behind the girl, and a black-haired, seemingly human teenager stepped out from behind the house closest to the gate.

"I like the attitude." She stated plainly, glancing at the gatekeeper. "But if you didn't do that on purpose, you're an awful shot. And if you did, then you're just a p***y." She smirked, pulling out a gun of her own and sniffing the air. Of course the witch was unaware of the rule that said no unauthorized pedestrians could own guns, but it wasn't like she would have cared anyway. She shot through the gate from five feet away from it, and twenty feet outside, there was a scramble of feet through the trees, and a grunt.

"Sooo manly of you not to scream like a girl, fairy." She said, the smirk growing. She knew that scent. This was obviously Alec's girlfriend's brother, in human-sized form. An easy target. He smelled strongly of pixie dust. "Get away from here. And tell all your little creature buddies that they'd better watch their distance. Humans have a pretty small guest list, you know, and you are not invited to the party. Keep that in mind." No sounds returned the threat, and the smell had vanished. Of course she was cheating; humans couldn't smell fairies. But that wasn't her problem, and it wasn't like this one had to know. She turned back to this one. "You like your job." It wasn't a question, it was a statement of fact. This girl obviously enjoyed shooting at and hated creatures.

And for that reason, Nami liked her. A human with attitude was rare. They all seemed so happy and fake. This one here was the real deal, and Nami approved.

Mira twirled around, looking at the girl who had spoken about her gun skills. She gritted her teeth. She was right. Her anger had once again thrown off her aim. In control of her emotions, she could be a sharpshooter. "Tch..." she turned her head back to the gate, her face flushing ever so slightly in embarrassment.

And just then, the bullet flew past her head, and she looked toward the forest. Listening carefully, she heard it too. Just faintly, a grunt.

She smiled and placed a hand on her hip, turning back to the girl. "Amazing..." was all she could say. Then the bit her lip, lowered her eyebrows, and stared at the ground. "When I was shooting at the bird kid, I missed because it irritated me. I'd rather threaten him now and kill him later." it was a lie, but somewhat believable. The first part was true, anyway.

She merely nodded in agreement when the girl stated that Mira liked her job. "Everyone is an idiot. Creatures can easily take over now that we're letting some of them into the city. So during my shift, I'm keeping them all out. In peace or not." she folded her arms and glared out the gate, towards the forest.

...Because it's illegal to kill them.
