It was the year 3333. Either someone made a mistake or they decided to show themselves. Either way, they started helping humans that came out of the town and got lost... or they would come by, looking for food, and biologists would catch a piece of DNA.A blur. Few had seen them, and no one had gotten a picture. Scientists say they have many different breeds. Scientists call them Non-Human Biological Beings, or NHBB. But we know what they really are. Vampires, warewolves, nekos... those we always thought were mythical are really here. We weren't so far off. There are even humans in there... but they aren't the same. They're special. These special humans with special powers live with them, and so they are part of them.
Who are we? We are human. Flesh and blood, we are those normal, regular people. Since the old 2000s, we have all joined together into one big city. Everyone plays a part in our city. We have a big, gray, stone wall and a gate at the front that only the gatekeeper can open. Gatekeeper, that's the first job. If we walk up to the gate, we have to tell them why we want to leave. And not just anyone can leave to hunt. We have hunters, gatherers, and biologists. The biologists, hunters, and gatherers can leave to do their jobs. But anyone else? We need a pretty good reason. We don't want to lose anyone.
Biologists go see what's out there. They research plants, animals, and most importantly, them. Biologists rarely tell things to the media, because they don't want the media to turn it around. So we are left to our imagination.
Media tell us what's going on, but we can't be sure they're telling the truth. Media hasn't changed since the 2000s, we still don't know what all is fact and what's fiction. Some

people are scared of what they hear on the news and in the papers, and some don't care at all because "it's all lies".Hunters go out and kill animals with traps, then bring the animals back for food. They give it to the market, and the market gives it to everyone else. There is no currency. You do your part, you get your share. That's the way it works. We take only what we need, and nothing more. Ever.
Gatherers get berries, fruits, vegetables, and every kind of non-living food we need. Just like the hunters, they give it to the market and the market gives it to everyone else.
Workers is the name for the people with desk jobs, even though everyone works. They do the whole figuring-out-how-well-the-community-is-going thing, and make sure that we will live to see tomorrow.
Laborers are all the people that manage plumbing, electricity, cleaning... all the dirty work. No one thinks more or less of them for this, everyone's job is important and everyone is needed. No job has higher or lower status. Laborers clean the sidewalks. Sidewalks are all we have, there are no streets. The only method of transportation is our own two feet, unless we are hurt. Then there are crutches and wheelchairs. But no cars and no bikes.
Teachers teach the children all the things they need to know, and make sure that they all grow into great people. The same great people that everyone else is.

Gatekeepers make sure that no one goes out and gets themselves killed. They let the hunters, gatherers, and biologists out so that they can study.Shopkeepers are the people that give out shoes, food, clothes, furniture, school supplies, and everything we need. They are very trustworthy and they make sure that everyone gets their share, no more and no less. Everyone has what they need. Some families need more because they have more people in them, but that's the way it works.
Leader is only one person at a time. That person simply makes sure everything is going well in the community. The leader is not permitted to change anything, get rid of jobs, create jobs, kill people... there is no law, no judge, no jail. No one ever kills anyone, we never do big things we shouldn't, like they used to in the 2000s. Sure we make mistakes... small ones that parents or teachers tell us not to. When we learn that something is wrong, we never do it again. Sometimes, some people break the rules and find a way around the wall or through a hole or something, but as long as they return safe, it's ok.
Children range from newborns to sixteen years. They leave the house at sixteen to get a job and a house of their own. They find spouses. Relationships are much less complicated. There is no cheating or lying, so it goes better. If two people are not compatible, they tell each other and accept it. Sometimes, people go home and lock themselves in a room and cry. Their parents talk to them about how sometimes people aren't compatible, and to keep going. Then, it's ok. Children go to school from five years to sixteen, and then they move out and get a job.

So you see, our community is perfect. There is no fault to it. And that is why we are afraid to let them into it. They could mess it up. We would need new rules for them. They couldn't use their powers because everyone else would be at a disadvantage. And then they would be limited. And some of them do things automatically like reading minds or being strong, so they would have to pretend they knew nothing and they weren't strong. And how would we know? They said they're friendly and they want to truce with us, but how do we know they aren't lying? So for now, the leader is telling us nothing. The biologists tell us nothing. We get it all from the media. Are there any creatures at all? We don't even know. But if there are, are they really friendly? Don't know. There have been reports of sightings... one hunter took his daughter out of the city to play in the fields and she got lost, and it's said that one of them saved her. But we don't know. So what are we supposed to do?There's a gang starting to form. They meet in the basement of the Nicholson place. That Nicholson family, they're nice. Anyway, the gang is a bunch of people, mainly teenagers, that are planning to sneak over the wall.. and soon. They're sending the first two people - a girl and a guy - over the wall in two nights; the night of the crescent moon. They go to high school and they're pretty nice people. Average, nice, funny kids who want to make a difference.
Are you ready to hop the wall?
