The Story In the Time of the Elders, the old prophets and philosophers looked to the stars, for they believed that they were messages from the gods. The stars would give them answers, grant their wishes, and provide life to the people of the world. The stars were everything to the people of Jotenheim. They called it the Stream of Light. Then, one day, a group of regular humans found that same kind of light in the realm of Jotenheim, causing them to believe that the gods were coming. Some had embraced this light, purifying their souls and became prophets themselves as the light spread throughout the world. Yet, there were those that wished to take the light for themselves, becoming corrupt by greed, giving birth to darkness. Now, a world wide battle had surfaced between those who defended the light, and those bound to darkness, thus being called the Calling of the Stars. Rules 1) Respect the Gaia Terms of Service. 2) Absolutely no god-moding nor auto-hitting. 3) Romance encouraged, but try to keep it PG-16. 4) This roleplay is semi-lit, so make sure you use "" when your character is speaking and italics when thinking. Try for a minimum of two-three lines, but I don't mind the occasional one-liner just to get thoughts across. Be sure to use (()){{}}[[]] or something of the sort to let us know you're out of character. 5) PM me your profiles before roleplay. Call your profile "The Stars" and write "My life is a contribution of the stars" so I know you read the rules. Once you have been accepted you may start. 6) Please let everybody know that you're going to be away for a while. I will do my best to make sure that you are filled in when you return. 7) Feel free to PM me if you have any ideas or such. Character Name: Gaia Username: Age: Race: Story: Personality: Appearance: Weapon: Spells if any: Skills: Light or Dark?: Anything else?: Battle System In Jotenheim, it is a dangerous world out there, for not only is there the battle of Light and Dark, but there are aslo monsters of all sorts out there. So, to make it so it's actually fair for everyone, roll a 20 sided die for attacking and defending. If the attacking die is higher than the defending die, then it's a hit, but if vise versa, then it was either blocked or guarded. If it's a hit, then roll a ten sided die to see how badly the injury was. I will roll for all the monsters that appear. To make it interesting, I will roll a 20 sided die every so often, and if I roll 15 or higher, a monster will appear. Against monsters, the player always goes first, but against other players, then roll a 6 sided die. The higher roll goes first in that situation. If you have questions, PM me. Accepted Light Profiles Character Name: Fayte Azgard Gaia Username: Kivik Undersn Age: 17 Race: Human Story: Ever since he was around five years old, when the Calling of the Stars had just begun, Fayte believed that he will one day be a hero, protecting innocent people from harm. And with that belief, he bagan training until he became what he is now. The world and everyone in it meant everything to him, for they had kept him alive all the years, ever since he was found as an orphan. And when his adopted mother passed away when he was only ten, he knew that his time would come. Personality: He is very strong willed and kind hearted, yet he can be very naive. Appearance:  Weapon: Great sword. Spells if any: None. He believes mainly in the power of his sword and his faith. Skills: He is very light on his feet despite his disadvantage, and he is skilled in all forms of swords. Light or Dark?: He is a child of the light. Anything else?: He is very gentlemanly around women. Character Name: Masoz Twine Gaia Username: blakjapaneseangl-chan Age: 20 Race: giant/ titanide Story: Masoz Twines was brought up with a bunch of amazons. When the incident of the stars happened and the king brough messengers to the amazonian women for their help in battle. The amazons refused to help and cared only for each other. Masoz left the amazonian women to help with the battle of the stars. Personality:Very inquisitive and curious about alot of things. She has a strong sense of social justice, and stands up for her beliefs. She's is an all serious and no play type of girl. At least she tries to be. But she cant help but be quite attached to people and become overpotective, motherly, overbearing and over affectionate. Appearance:  Weapon: 2 big borad swords Spells if any: Mimicing. Masoz has a special gift of mimicing Other cultures such as languages, writing, and other things. Skills: double Sword battle, Thinking on her feet or under pressure, a quick leaner Light or Dark?: Light Anything else?: N/a Accepted Dark Profiles Character Name: Akura Gaia Username:Zakua Age:17 Race:Human/Immortal Story:She is a trained assassin learned her craft from her brother and Priest the man who raised them after her mother left her and her brother on the doorstep of a temple. After her training was completed her brother Ramon left on his own and left her with Priest Akura decided she needed to go find him so off she went to find her brother. Personality:Akura is a quiet person yet determined when she sets her mind on a task, passionate and yet deadly. Appearance:  Weapon:several Obsidian scalpels. Spells if any biggrin ark and Light based spells with a few Alteration spells Skills:Stealth, Medical, Tracking, Acrobatics, Disguise, Black Ops, and Drawling Light or Dark?: Dark Anything else?: From the years of training she has some scar on her body covered up with her clothing, her hair is always in a poneytail with 3 feathers in it. Akura is very fast on her feet with high refelxes Character Name: Isalie Annabell Rose Gaia Username: Neveahada Age: 20 Race: Human Story: Isalie used to believe in the stars, when it first begun, she had always wanted to do something good for others. But that was the night her Grandfather passed away, he was the only one she had left in the world, her mother and father had passed away when she was just born, and she had no siblings left. Isalie blamed it on the Calling of the Stars, she only knew one thing, her Grandfather was taken from her. Isalie tried to follow the way of the stars, but her heart was not in it. Now she is against anyone and everyone who is in the light. Personality: Isalie is a very sealed up person, she hides her emotions well, and tries not to get to close to a person. She believes once she is close they will die. Appearance:  Weapon: Long Sword that her Grandfather made, she uses this weapon a lot. She also has bow and arrows that were her mothers. Spells if any: None at the moment. Skills: Is very good with the bow and arrows and she is very skilled with her sword. Light or Dark?: Dark Anything else?: None. Character Name: Xara Kelan Laura Gaia Username: your_cherry_angel Age: 17 Race: Human Story: Xara was brought from a family of the Light brought up to grow up and become the warrior to protect her people. At the time she turned 6, her family attacked and destroyed. Left to die she then developed to fight for herself and developed to hate and destroy and avenge her family’s name [Laura meaning fights to bring light] ,Xara not knowing the meaning of her family’s name, she is ready to attack anyone who comes to her path of her journey of knowing who she really is. Personality: Rude and obnoxious, willing to learn new things to make herself stronger, aggressive. Appearance:  Weapon: Rod which turns either to a double bladed sword Spells if any: none Skills: swift in her attacks yet slow on her feet Light or Dark?: Unknown at the time Anything else?: Xara is actually not sure if what she stands ,Light or Dark, when she feels in danger her shield of anger shows but in the inside she the light that was once there still exists. |
