Domi grinned, throwing up both hands as Taz caught up. Like hell she would let the midget trump her in front of her own awesome summon. The girl was still on a buzz from landing Taz, and summoning up a hot a** babe as her personal pet.

'I am not your pet!' Levi was quick to respond, following her summoner's actions.

"We'll talk about it over dinner, toots," Domi replied with a smirk.

( 10 - 5 = 5 )

( 5 + 5 - 5 = 5 )
( 10 + 5 - 5 = 10 )
( 10 + 5 - 5 = 10 )

Total: 37 Damage!

"Aim for the eyes!" Was Domi's call as Levi launched a torrent of water from her hands. Squaring her feet, Domi followed suit, unleashing a condensed beam of electricity at the portal. The two attacks merged, the water conducting the electricty and carrying it home. Those eyes didn't look too friendly really. Although the semi-blinding light helped hide that fact as the attack tore into the portal.

Lyra simply held on to Lindza, somewhat appreciative that someone could cry, even if she felt it wasn't necessary. She looked around, knowing Sakura was around before the blast, but had remained quiet. She didn't see the woman, but her eyes were did look.

"Some partner, you are, huh?! Just let the misguided cat-thing kill herself to try to save us poor Potentials while you stand by and do nothing! Where's that almighty eye of yours huh? You weren't so hesitant to impale me with arrows two days ago, were you?" She shook her head in disgust, forbidding herself from crying or even taking a second glance at the woman's body. Picking up Lindza, Lyra kept her smaller companion cradled in her arms, her head still against her chest. Lyra would remain calm and composed for Lindza's sake. But Goddess help her if she ever met Sakura in a dark alley alone.

Sonia had images in her head about Karelineo sucking nuts, but she couldn't see how it would be used as an insult. Most nuts required a bit of sucking to get them out of their shells... or a hefty crack. Shaking her head, she looked back to Torrin, nodding. "That's okay, no need to get you in more trouble with your kids and wifey." Normally, she'd offer to accept the pain in kind, but the girl was keen to continue walking straight.

"To the portal!" she said in sudden effort to change the subject and the pace, all but pulling Torrin along behind her. "Can I try one those gun things?"

Sakura was quiet herself, her arms hanging at her sides. She had yet to move from the spot she was at, and if she heard Lyra, she didn't show it in any way, shape, or form. Slowly, she jumped down, walking over to Cheshire's body and kneeling. Silent as the grave, she pressed two fingers to the woman's neck, and with that, she closed her eyes.
".... Cheshire...."
Slowly, quietly, she picked up Cheshire's body, gently moving as she did so, not even looking at the two potentials as she spoke. Her voice calm and collected as Lyra's, but for other reasons.
She couldn't cry, not in front of the to. She was the Guardian here, she had to act like it.
"Lyra. Linda. Hate me all you want later, but for right now, we need to move Cheshire somewhere safe. If we leave her here, lord only knows what'll happen to her. But... as to why..."
She bowed her head slightly, hair covering her face as she spoke, solemnly
"Cheshire... wasn't always such a good person. But she was compassionate. I think seeing the two of you consumed by darkness... it triggered something inside her. She gave herself up so that the two of you could live on. If you want to blame me for not stopping her, that's fine, I won't stop you... but do what you must after we move her to somewhere safe... and andle the task at hand."
She turned to them, her eyes hidden by shadows as she left her head bowed, walking twoards the stairs.
"For a Guardian like Cheshire... obligation to the students came before everything else, and was more important to her then life. we need to honor that."
She then held out the woman, cradling her, and kept looking at her body
"You two take Cheshire... I'm... going to go do my duty as a guardian..."
She was biting her lower lip ever so slightly, composing herself, and she glanced up at the starcase
"Cheshire's the type who'd be pissed if she saw we were crying for her.... that idiot... probably thought she was doing something 'cool'."
She was doing her best not to break into tears

Lyra stopped, sliding one hand up to block Lindza's ear, the other ear pressed against her chest. "Shut up." The words were empty and cold. "Live on? Please. Are you saying you would've killed us if she hadn't done that? Or we would've died if someone didn't die for us? I'll keep that in mind when I see the others. I'll ask Shannon if Kamiko had to die to cure her too. Hell, Maybe Miss Alhberg died to heal her two lovers. And how do either of you know I'm not ******** up in the head to begin with? Does being a Guardian give you the ability to perceive everything about a person at a glance. Must be nice."

"She was your partner. You bury your own dead." With that Lyra, kept walking, heading down the hall and out in to the courtyard. She looked up at the portal, then down at Lindza, uncovering the one ear. "We're almost done, yeah? We have a lot to talk about afterward."

"Hm, Maria, have you seen mint around? She never did return to the room once we...um." Etien blushed the recent memory returning to her. With a red, glowing face, the mistress shook her head, the words echoing in her mind, things they shouldn't be saying, like "I love you." or "Stick it in deeper!". The charisma break came from her own doing, the tiny blonde running behind a DV Cycle. "Ah, stop it...I shouldn't let this affect me. I have a job to do. Just, give her an order and don't look her in the eye."

Standing up, Etien walked to another DV, a larger quad bike with some heavy armaments on it. They didn't have their own custom machines like guardians or that too sweet Kamiko and her partner, but they could get around and dominate whatever came their way. "We'll be using this one. I doubt we'll be running into anything like an L10."

π Lindza Owens π

"Lyra," Lindza looked up to the blonde as she spoke, her hand muffling what was said, but she could tell it was something about the other sacrificing themselves. It wasn't going to happen again, was it? Buring deeper into Lyra's chest, she waited till they had left the woman and were out in the hallway then out into the open air, the smell of the grass and a faint scent of flowers. Lyra spoke again, her hand removed from her ear, "Y...Yun. Ey vill do mai best to help."

"You'll do no such thing." A voice came from their left, a vine whipping out at them. Lindza yipped and shielded them from the plant,. A young first year stepped out from the shadows and smiled darkly. Kicking her legs, Lindza struggled to get out of Lyra's grasp. Landing with little grace, the spell caster readied a weak arrow and fired. "Huh?"

"Zu vill be cured vithout someone getting hurt!" Lindza's arrow curled around the weaker first year, the brunette hurrying over to pass on the gift, giving the girl a kiss on the cheek. "Nao, zu are betta. Right?"

"Was it all a bad dream? I could have sworn I was just watering the garden a moment ago. The mistress! Ah, where is the mistress? "Mint cowered, the bonds loosening, her hands covering her head, "Uuu, she'll be angry if I'm away too long. Ah, what's in the sky?... Whaaa, the mistress must be mad! I must hurry to her before I get a punishment."

"That vas... awdd." Lindza thought aloud as the little greenette ran off to find her mistress and probably her senior. Turning to Lyra, the brunette smiled, returning to latch onto Lyra's arm, "Eet looks lyke vii don't have to hurt others. Ey em glad. "

"Looks like it's time for us to get back into the air." Megan nodded as she stood up and pulled out a few rockets, the bird eying her as she tied three of them around a larger one with some tape. "Mind givign me a lift, Fuu?"

"It's Fujin, girl. I'm a great wind god, not some corner store canary. If you need to fly, then I guess I can take you up, but I'll have you know tha- Hey, what's the big idea hus jumping on me like some sort of common ostrich. Pii!"

"Oh shut up and flap those wings of yours, Fuu. We don't have time for you to go on and on about nothing." Megan ordered, the summon hopping onto the ledge and then flapping his wings, a mumble escaping his beak. Up into the air, they got close enough for Megan to light the fuses and chuck her cocktail of rockets at the portal...thing. The peppered blasts weren't very strong, but it did do at least a scratch...or break a chunk. She didn't know what to classify the damage as. "Hey Fuu, let's try and find someone else. I'm not exactly a spell caster and my punches will probably only get me sucked in."

"Yeah yeah, I'm on it." With a curl of his wings and a spin, the duo went into a dive, Megan looking through her telescopic lens for some one on the ground.
Shannon Hallard

The closer they got the more uncomfortable Shannon became. To think she was just in the presence of the portal and she didn’t feel anything then. To distract her thoughts, she focused on how Kamiko had healed the other darkness infected potentials. She had never felt a power that pure before. Okay, well she has but Kamiko’s was different. It rather soothing, feels incredibly cool and… Wait, wasn’t she just describing how Kamiko’s magic felt? Well, they did sort of feel similar and at the same time different. It was hard to describe really but there is a difference, she swears her magic on it.

The young seer watched her pair approached the lunch box and was surprised to see her glowing. Darkness and Light. Shannon was just about to warn her pair, tell her not to touch the lunchbox but Kamiko didn’t suffer anything. Perhaps the container was just exactly that a container and the real danger was the portal that hung above them.

Attack as in bombard it with magic, taking a chunk out of it with each attack until it could no longer keep spinning like a whirlpool of darkness? Well, that doesn’t seem complicated but then so much power had been used to make sure that the darned think kept spinning. At Domi and Taz’s appearance, Shannon was feeling relieved. If these two were okay, then that meant the others were too. Good. That was very good.

Alright, it looks like it’s time to attack that bad boy of a portal. Shannon had to resist the urge to shriek when a pair of eyes looked out to them. Nothing to be afraid of, those were just the eyes. With a nod, Shannon started to gather her magic.

8+1 = 9 – 5 = 4 Damage
7+1 = 8 – 5 = 3 Damage
5+1 = 6 – 5 = 1 Damage
6+1 = 7 – 5 = 2 Damage
10+1 = 11 – 5 = 6 Damage
Total Damage = 15 Damage

A multitude of orbs suddenly appeared around Shannon and they circled around her for a few moments before forming a line in front of her. They glowed and glowed until they simultaneously released their gathered energy towards the portal a uniform beam. It didn’t do as much damage as Kamiko’s or Domi’s as the latter had launched her own attack moments before but still it did some damage. As she watched the beam tear a hole into the portal, which the darned thing seem to cover up immediately, she noted Dallas and her pair Brie had made it. It was only a matter of time now before everyone was here.

Jules Allen

Jules knew that Relena held back but then she couldn’t help it. These two young women were in her classes. They don’t stand out like the others but she knew them by face and by their last name. They were her students, she was allowed to worry but merely grinned at the light smacking her cheek received. Her grin transformed into a small smile at the older woman’s appreciative expression. For as long as she had the position, Jules will always chose to be by Relena’s side.

When they came upon a cured Ray, Jules couldn’t help but nod approvingly and gratefully to Camilla. The girl hadn’t proven her wrong. In fact, Jules would say she done quite spectacularly. It really didn’t matter that she didn’t know how it happened. All that mattered was the end result. Camilla might have been successful but there might be something going on between mother and child. So Jules was suddenly feeling quite torn. She wanted to celebrate and yet it doesn’t look like it would be appropriate.

For now, she’d follow Relena’s lead. For the woman’s inquiry, Jules had wanted to say they should go to the portal but Ray beat her too it. The girl wanted to see Jelena. She turned to Relena, her head tilted a little to the side and asked, “Shall we?” Perhaps they’ll find the others that way too.

Jules was not disappointed. They had met Zaira along the way and then found Freya and Jelena and was that Kaynen? She was immensely glad that both women had been cured but it looks like Jelena had suffered quite a bit. Jules felt her cheek twitch. Everything was under control here and as worried as she was for Jelena, they still had a portal to take care off.
Brieanna Carlyss

Brieanna leaned in close to Dallas as they emerged into the shadow of the massive black portal that looked over the two. "Dallas, I know this is probably a bad question, but...uh...do you have any idea as to how we turn this thing off?"

The white haired girl reached up, touching the tattoo on the arm still clutching Dallas' hand. It wasn't alight like it had been when she was trying to cure Dallas, it was much closer to a low, constant pulse - though now there were orange flecks interspersed in the black mark.

Terresha Sikanda

"Alexius, let me go, dammit, I can't face Malwyn." The blonde said tightly, trying one last weak yank at the energy bindings holding her in place. "Just let me go."

"I can't...I can't do this Alexius. I'm not able to keep up with her anymore and she deserves better anyways! If I weren't such a screwup then I wouldn't have hurt her and she wouldn't have gone to Leena and Karelineo!"

Jelena Taurus

Raleigh Lynnette Der Malian
(17/17)

Relena Saint Mantis

It went without saying that Relena would go with her daughter. She followed Zaira, Ray and Camilla, with Jules at her side, to see Jelena. However, the dark skinned woman knew this ended up putting her in a rather awkward position. She was silent as she watched her daughter desperately try what she could to wake up Jelena, but it didn't seem to be working.

"I ask that you all find it within your hearts to forgive me." Relena suddenly spoke up, loud enough for everyone to hear her. She knew the words she chose made everyone turn their heads. An uneasiness settled in the air and Relena refuse to say anything else. After a long moment or two, it seemed everyone's attention turned back to Jelena as she slept. That's when Rel made her move.

8+4 = 12! Great success!

She tackled Jules so that she collided with the wall, then slipped her guns from her lovers' holster. Before any protest could be made, she moved with her trade mark speed, one gun leveled at Jules, and as she bumped into the bed behind her, she aimed the other at Jelena's head.

"Stay where you are. All of you." Her voice was calm despite the sudden shift in mood. "A bullet moves faster than any of you will trying to get to me, and we all know Jelena isn't moving anywhere." A quick blink, and Rel sent an apologetic glance at Freya, Zaira, and her child, who now glowered at her with hatred.

"I will admit...that this is another time in my life where I feel my duties have come in direct conflict with my personal convictions." Rel licked her lips thoughtfully, and at the corner of her eye spotted Jelena, then turned her gaze back to Freya.

"I won't do anything. I swear. Just hear me out and don't. Move." Relena gestured with her gun, the one that wasn't pointing at Jelena's head. "Jules, move over." She urged, wanting everyone to be in her line of sight. "Regardless of the circumstances, Jelena was the leader of all of this. That is what the Council sees. There was a crime, and they wish to hold someone responsible. Jelena is the face they wish to link to the act."

Relena sighed, and for once it was clear to see the relentlessly patient woman was annoyed, frustrated even.

"Depending on the outcome of all this, they may declare Jelena too dangerous to confront and change the request from 'dead or alive' to 'kill on sight', which I know none of us wish to see. That is why I, Relena Saint Mantis place Robjn Jelena Taurus under arrest."

She looked around the room, body trained and ready to pull the trigger if she heard anything heading her way.

"I want you all to leave and deal with the portal immediately." She ordered. Ordered because she held the gun more firmly when she said it, almost as if she dared them to do otherwise. "As a former Guardian, there is a chance that some of my colleagues will push for the trial to be a tribunal, or judge only. I know that is an absurd idea as Jelena left the ranks over five years ago. I have contacts that will fight to ensure the court process will be by jury. When she wakes up they will question her, set the date of her trial, and release her on bail. In the meantime, we'll set the hearing to occur immediately, so that we can get to the trial quickly."

After she was done, Relena took a long, deep breath. Her body giving a faint glow, and she sighed as the circle appeared mid air before her.

8= good summon!

A large falcon landed on Relena's outstretched arm, and peered at her, then the rest of the members in the room with a fierce gaze. The summon seemed to speak to his summoner silently for a moment before bobbing his head.

"Go Roman. Return quickly. I need to assist with the portal as well." Roman bobbed his head before stretching out his massive wings, he made to take off and seemingly disappear.

"Please leave. I'm sorry, but leave. All of you. We will discuss this later."

3 - 1 = 2 = fail!

Total: 2 damage!

Taith was cussing up a storm as she shot attack after attack. In the end she ended up doing more damage to herself than to either of the portal's eyes. She turned to glance at Domi, at her...girlfriend, silently wondering if the other one was mocking her as she held her now burned hand.

"Damnit! I suck at spells! Are you sure I can't just run up and deck this thing!?"

======Alexius===== (2/10)

Alexius felt his anger flare. Only, it truly wasn't his. This anger he felt? It had to be Malwyn's as she drew more on the link between him then with Jalen. Malwyn was focusing on Alexius because he was with her lover.

"Don't you dare talk like that, Terresha Sikanda!" He sounded more like Malwyn right now. Then again, he was bound to her. That should of clued Terresha in.

"You're not a screw up, you're being a coward!" Even Alexius' voice was slipping to start sounding more like Mally's. "This isn't about you or what you think you did wrong! This is about us and figuring what the hell we're going to do to fix this ******** mess!"

4+5 = 9!

Alexius latched onto Terresha, and soon both the blond and the summon disappeared.

-----

And reappeared before Malwyn. The summoner rose from her seat, and onto her feet, limping over to her summon and her lover, and before either could say anything, she grabbed Terresha with her free hand -- the other covering a wounded bloody side, -- and crushed their lips together, sending the cure to Terresha, and not letting go. Malwyn was hoping, waiting for her lover to return to her senses and kiss her back.
(6/16)

Karelineo Kuscherii

The portal... certainly was something else. Karelineo sat here and waited for the longest while until she noticed everyone's arrival. And in due time too: an hour or less until Grim came. As much as she hated them all, Karelineo wasn't going to let the god of hate and darkness do as he pleased to this world.

It was ******** up enough.

"Need a hand?" She asked raising an eyebrow. Her own were covered with red. Blood from fighting, but the details shouldn't matter. She was relatively unharmed.

Strolling up to Kamiko, she touched the girl's shoulder to establish a brief bond and then prepared herself, throwing attacks.

Spell demolition!
5+2 = 7 - 5 = 2 damage!
9 + 2 = 11 - 5 = 6 damage!
7 + 2 = 9 - 5 = 4 damage!
3+ 2 = 5 = 1 damage!
5+ 2 = 7 - 5 = 2 damage!
Total damage: 15 damage!

A brief charge, and then the Bloodhound grinned like a maniac and fired burst after burst of magical energy straight at the portal.

PORTAL'S CURRENT HEALTH: (69/ 175 )
Jules Allen

Jules was just about to ask what the older woman had meant by that when she found herself tackled and then colliding with the wall. It left her slightly dazed and shaking her head to clear it. Damn, Relena can tackle. Of course, her thoughts shifted to thinking what in the world was her partner thinking!! Wait, aren’t those Mond and Stern? Jules hand immediately went to the holders strapped behind her and she found them empty. Jules slowly stood up, looking at her lover like she grew to heads.

With a frown, Jules obeyed the order and moved over. She didn’t get it. Well, technically speaking she did as Relena was a member of the council but surely, just once, couldn’t the woman ignore that part of her and leave Jelena alone. The woman had been through enough already and to subject her to a trial just seemed unfair.

The council… Oh how she wanted to tear it apart. It had been responsible for so many things and they have people, good people like Relena, doing their bidding. Now that she thought about it, how did the older woman end up working for the council? She seemed to know certain things but Jules never felt it was appropriate to ask. Jules would never consider her working with the council, that just didn’t sit right with her. After all, it had been the council who approved on her conditioning.

“I do hope you know what you are doing Rel.” Jules whispered and the frown on her face on deepening. With a shake of her head, Jules turned to the others. “Let’s go. We do have a portal to take care of.” She’d trust Relena. She will.

Freya Ahlberg :: ( 18 / 18 )

She had taken Jelena to the ward and eased her into a bed closest to the corner. The woman would be safer there, away from prying eyes and the dangers posed from the door. She kissed her forehead and stood by her side for a few moments, until the others all entered. When Ray passed her, she did frown, but understood the child's desire to see Jelena.

"Hey," Freya's voice was tired, you could tell she had been crying. "Be careful with her, Raleigh!" Shaking her in such a manner, perhaps it caused Freya to snap, but the teen's eyes on her only earned a very adult, mother-like stare challenging the girl to say anything.

Perhaps if she wasn't dealing with Ray's hissy fit she might have recognized what Relena was doing. As it was, it was too late for her to get ahead of this and could only stare back with a icy gaze at Relena's gun. Pointed at an unconscious woman.

"Damnit, Relena. Put that gun down." Freya's eyes glared out at the woman and, she did, she shifted in the path of that gun to protect Jelena. "I understand that Jelena is under arrest, I knew that when I made a deal with Kuscherri, but she is unconscious and unresponsive - don't you dare point that at her."

The blond, angelic figure was unmoving in the protective path.

"And I'm not going anywhere until we talk, Relena. I expected her to be left alone at least until the end of this and since that isn't the case I want to know that's going on." Portal or not, Freya was not leaving Jelena when there was even an ounce of doubt.

Torrin Berne :: ( 18 / 18 )

"No, you can't try one of these 'gun-things', at least not until you make me feel better about giving you one!" This girl had to have gone through operative training, gun edition. It was required by the time a potential reached her age, and yet she was still calling them 'gun things'.

"And slow the hell down!" Her pelvis was screaming.

Limping down the hallway and into the courtyard, Torrin opened up on the portal the instant she saw what the others were doing.

*Roll*
2 + 3 = 5 (1 Damage)
2 = 5 (1 Damage)
4 + 3 = 7 ( 2 Damage)
6 + 3 = 9 ( 4 Damage)
7 + 3 = 10 ( 5 Damage)
12 Damage Total

Everyone was lobbing attacks of all kinds onto the portal, and this teen was willing to follow suit. Gunshots echoed in the courtyard, bouncing up and down the walls as she nearly emptied a clip on the structure. With every bullet fired off, more and more of it slipped away, making it smaller and smaller bit by bit. The strategy was working, slowly.

Kamiko Hamasaki :: (13 / 15)

They were doing good, so far. The portal had shrunk significantly since the beginning of all of this. Kamiko powered up an other spell in her hands, stretching it out into a crescent-like shape. "Crescent descent!"

5 + 4 = 9 ( 4 Damage)
8 + 4 = 12 ( 7 Damage)
5 = ( 4 Damage)
2 + 4 = 6 ( 1 Damage)
Total Damage: 16

The boomerang-like object circled around the portal, cutting through it in this dimension several times before splintering off and raining down on all of the potentials like glitter, thrown in the air. Kamiko glared up at the rip, feeling satisfaction in seeing it ebb away further.
Rico-kun (10 / 10)

Dallas Van Laar D'Aubigne ( 13 / 15 )

"I think we're supposed to attack it, Brie." Everyone else was doing it, and it looked like those eyes inside the portal staring out of them were beginning to panic. Dallas took a step up and brushed her bangs aside. On the ground below her a summoning circle appeared, and for the first time in several weeks Dallas could feel Zorelo at the other end of the tunnel.

"Zorelo! Hear my call!"

*Roll*
10 + 1 = 11 ( + 6 Mod)

Zorelo made his appearance, the massive dark horse of nightmarish proportions galloping from the portal. All the chains that bound him during the Glaston battle were gone, leaving him with a shiny yet scarred coat. His wings remained bound, for now.

1 = Fail
5 + 6 = 11 ( 6 Damage)
3 + 6 = 9 ( 4 Damage)

Zorelo had to shake off the pain from being bound up for so long, but once he was better for it, he reared back on his back legs and slapped his onyx hooves into the earth, creating a shock wave down on the portal. It crumbled a bit, and he tried again.

"It's so good to have you back." Dallas murmured.

Jelena Taurus

Raleigh Lynnette Der Malian

Raleigh stared right back at Freya, or rather, at the bridge of her nose so it seemed she was. The summoner glared at the blond. Though when she got a look back, she seemingly shrank, before hugging Jelena's body close to her.

"******** yourself!"

She hissed, though her anger melted away when she noticed her mother. It returned ten fold with Relena's actions, though she was too scared for Jelena to do anything. Not now. When she was sure all would be well, her mother would get a piece of her mind.

(17/17)

Relena Saint Mantis

Relena kept the gun where she had it, undeterred by Freya. She knew her actions would cost her. It would cost her trust, it could even cost her friendships. The Council was awfully good at taking what mattered most to people, whether directly or not.

"Julianne..." No matter how her lover put it, Relena could sense and feel the hurt in those words. She steeled herself by taking a deep breath and addressing Freya. Never once losing her cool.

"Now is not the time to talk Freya." She responded, in a low, quiet voice. "I promise you on my own life that no harm will come to Jelena here." Here, at Temperance, because she couldn't promise what they would decide at the trial. If they chose death, Relena could fight against it, could cause an uproar around Tempera, but if Athene was determined upon it, she could only do so much, and it wouldn't be enough. "Roman was sent to give them an update on the situation." She knew the blond was insistent though.

"If you think I am lying, then come straight out and say it then. She is yours and Zaira's lover, but she is also my former student, friend and my daughter's closest friend. I am stomping on a lot of toes here, and quite frankly I hate what I'm doing right now, but the details don't matter."

Relena narrowed her eyes at Freya. She didn't want to be on bad terms with the blond, but this was a difficult situation.

"Roman told them that we are getting things under control. At the end of today, according to the original order I and a few others received, if significant progress on the situation was not made, a unit would of been sent in, with the order to kill on sight, as I mentioned before." Relena grated her teeth and took a deep breath.

"She will be in the military hospital. I will try my best to ensure you have a pass to get and out, Freya. Don't argue with it, don't complain about it. I am done with this conversation for the time being, so deal with that portal now." Relena shifted the gun, almost threatening with it.

"Freya -- all of you. Leave. Deal with that portal now. Do not make me say it again, because I am not asking you as Relena your friend. I am ordering you as a seated member of the Council. If you decide to stay, I will arrest you as well for disobeying orders."

She knew she was making a bad situation worse, could feel it as she felt her daughter look at her. Relena still managed to keep her composure, but noticed that no one moved. Then again, it all felt surreal to everyone here that she would do this to begin with.

"What the hell are you waiting for! Why aren't any of you moving?"

It wasn't quite a yell. But it was unexpected to hear Relena raise her voice. It didn't seem possible.

"Julianne..." her voice was tender despite the situation. She motioned the steel haired woman to come closer, and handed Monde over. That short time the other held on to her would be long enough to realise that despite how calm and collected Relena seem, she was trembling, just not enough to be noticeable.

"You're gun. I'm holding onto the other for now. Look out for Ray and Cam." Relena took another sharp breath. "I'm sorry, and I love you. Now go." Her attention turned back to the room again. "All of you."

Brieanna Carlyss

Brie smiled at the sight of Zorelo. She was happy to see the chains binding the scarred horse were gone - a reflection of Dallas' own changes, she hoped. Brie knew that wasn't something she needed to worry about now. The portal hovering above her took up more of her attention, and so she set to doing as the others - tearing it down.

Roll!

4+3 = 2 damage
1- fail
1- fail
8+3 = 6 damage
9+3 = 7 damage

15 Damage Total!

"Lightning Lance." Brie said quietly, then thrust her hand out towards the portal. The first spear of blue-white lightning was not strong enough to do much more than break away a small splinter of darkness.

Brie's second and third bolts were greenish blue, an odd shade for lightning, unfortunately both flew wide of her intended target, instead smashing into the ground a small way away - a result of the jagged bolts jinking wildly at the wrong moment.

The final two bolts were something that may very well have impressed Jelena, had she been watching. The lances hurtled from Brie's hands faster than she could keep track of them, though the aftermath had traced two red lines in the air along their path. Their effect was obvious, though, as the dark stone now was now missing two somewhat sizable chunks near it's base.

Terresha Sikanda

Terry tried to break Malwyn's embrace, and escape her kiss, at the urging of the dark being inside her. The thing was urging her to fight, to protect it, to keep her lover from liberating the real Terry. Unfortunately the blonde's body couldn't fight back too well - she was just too hurt, her body was just too weak to fight back.

Eventually, though, Terry melted into the kiss, slumping against Malwyn as the shadows spilled from her wounds like black blood. Terry held the kiss for a long time more before she drew back and looked Malwyn in the eyes, tears misting over. "I'm...I'm sorry for hurting you Malwyn. I-I couldn't...it wouldn't let me control myself. I'm sorry."

Lyriana Couse

Lyra tilted her head as Lindza healed the greenette. "Um. Well, good job hun," she said, hugging the girl to her tightly. They made their way out in the courtyard, Lyra looking on as everyone assaulted the portal. She shuddered as she saw the angry pair of eyes, but settled down on the grass, simply watching. She'd done enough, she wasn't going to waltz in and get in the way. The heroes after all, were the heroes.

That, and for the first time since Lady Mantis had infected her, Lyra didn't feel like raising a hand to fight. Three days of constantly fighting wore on the body, and she was sure she'd be sore for the days to come.

Dominique Garfield

"I'd rather you not, Taz," Domi said with a smirk. "I don't know if those eyes have hands attached to them, you know? And only my hands get to touch your body." With a flick of her wrist, she looked at Levi. "Shut those eyes for good!"

'You're a very demanding girl. I wonder how long you can keep it up,' the woman said, but her sparkling eyes carried a lot more meaning than the present situation. It was enough that Domi's throat emitted a mewling whine as her cheeks took a light blush. Damn summoning bond!

( 6 = 1 Damage! )
( 3 + 5 = 8 - 5 = 3 Damage! )
Total: 4 Damage!

Again, the pair let out a combined beam of electrified water, tearing into portal after the others. It looked like it was winding itself down after all.

Sonia Rasm'ssen

Even as Torrin said no, Sonia stole one of the free guns from the holsters on the brunette's person. She felt like having a little fun now that everyone was just wasting away at the portal. It really didn't seem all that threatening.

( 4 - 1 = 3 = 1 Damage! )
( 6 - 1 = 5 = 1 Damage! )
Total: 2 Damage!

She let off two shots, the kickback of the gun almost sending the hammer into her forehead. She staggered back, her eyes wide as she studied the chip marks the gun left in the very edge of the portal.

"I actually hit it!" she cheered. Apparently, no one had ever seen Sonia's marksman scores when she was in class.

Shannon Hallard

It was getting weaker and smaller. It won’t be long now before the portal finally dissipates and the coming of Grim being prevented all together. Of course, they couldn’t completely relax yet. Their barrage of attacks would have been useless if time runs out. With that in mind, Shannon fed more magic to the orbs surrounding her and this time they glowed a different color. What? A little flare never hurt anyone as long as the attack did its damage. Besides, she liked the flashing colors.

3+1 = 4 = 1 damage
6+1 = 7 = 2 damage
6+1 = 7 = 2 damage
2+1 = 3 = 1 damage
10+1 = 11-5 = 6 damage
Total = 12 Damage

The multicolored orbs flew away from Shannon and started bombarding the portal with beam attacks from difference directions. The beams disrupted the portal’s swirling mass even further. Not long now, really that that long now. All that was needed was – Shannon’s thoughts were interrupted when a angered roar came from within the portal. It was slowly coming apart. The eyes that gleamed from within glared at them with the utmost hate and if she had been standing, Shannon would have taken a step back.

Was it over? Had they succeeded? The young seer took a quick look at the lunchbox, hoping that the timer had stopped or something.

Jules Allen

Jules was gritting her teeth. This was indeed an awkward and hard situation. On one hand she understands Freya’s determination to stand her ground and demand an explanation from Relena as it is her lover and co-mother to their children that is being arrested but she also understands, she wants to believe she does, Relena’s actions. The older woman is a member of that council, whatever that group decides to do, she’s usually in the thick of it. She was probably saving them a lot more trouble than if another council member was to act. She didn’t like the kill on sight order, not one bit. Not that she preferred the dead or alive one. At least with that one, Relena was going for the alive option.

She wanted to take sides, she really did and mind battled with her heart on this one. It was no surprise that it was the heart that won, especially when the older woman had called her over and returned one of her pistols. The slight tremble in those hands was enough for Jules to see that she really did not like doing this but if she didn’t someone else will. Jelena’s head might just be offered to the chairwoman on a silver platter then. With Monde returned to its holster, Jules then whispered, “I expect Stern back.” Meaning it would have to be given back by Relena herself. “And I will.” She’d definitely look out for those two.

“Freya,” Jules turned to the blonde. “I can’t begin to imagine what you must be feeling right now but we have to obey. If we don’t it could bring more trouble for us and most probably for Jelena as well.” The silver haired instructor glanced at the unconscious woman. “Having the Lady Mantis representing the council in this situation, I believe is the better choice. Think if it had been the Bloodhound that found you first.” Karel was a member of the council too and Jules was sure that woman wouldn’t resist injuring the defenseless Jelena further. She had no problems gauging out the spell caster’s eye out after all.

“For now, let’s allow the council woman do her job.” Jules implored, looking at everyone. It felt kinda strange referring to her love as the Lady Mantis or council woman but at the moment, even though the older woman had allowed her duty mask to fall, she wasn’t the Relena they were used to seeing. “Camilla, Ray, let’s go.” And Jules tried to usher the two out of the situation and hoping the others would to the same.

Freya Ahlberg :: ( 18 / 18 )

She was a statue of defiance, her eyes of crystal and cold, hands slick with the blood of her lovers - Freya herself could be ethereal in the dim lighting of this hospital wing. The raised tilt of her chin, ferocity of her eyes, a guardian steeled with bravery and love. Relena, having known Freya in her younger days, might expect an equally beautiful blond by hers side peeking over aviation goggles with an expression equally as stone-faced and hard.

"I swear Relena," Her voice was quiet. "That if anything unjust occurs to simply cover their asses, I will shake the foundation of the council. I will destruct every brick of that tower, and move the earth." Freya stared at Relena for a moment more and turned her back to deposit a tender kiss to Jelena's forehead. Gentle fingers replaced the patch, smoothing it over the woman's eye before turning back.

"I will show them what real treason is."

Lovingly attached to Jelena's belt, sheathed in a make-shift holster, Freya's katar glowed dimly underneath the fabric of leather. She removed it and gripped the wrist guard, finally balancing its twin on her hands. The blond moved away, stopping by Relena with a pronounced expression of a frown. "It's always good to know that the council is enough to make you forget you're among friends. We won't be expecting you for Chloe's birthday." And Freya knew that this was Relena's job, that this was the best way to do it.

It didn't stop the anger from bubbling in her gut at having the guns aimed at them. She felt betrayed.

"Kaynen, let's go." And she waited, eyes boring into Relena until her eldest daughter caught up to her side. She had the girl go ahead of her before following her out, body squared defensively at her daughter's back. Who knew? Kaynen had technically committed treason as well.

Better make sure the council's dog didn't suddenly redirect her attentions.

The Portal ( 0 / 175 )

The battle for Temperance would nearly take two hours, with the clock ticking slowly above the lunch box. Students lobbed their attacks at the portal, the dark matter writhing and reshaping amidst the foreground as hateful, venomous eyes glaring out from behind. Teeth soon accompanied the panicked, silent screams, as Grim saw the door closing against him once again. He scratched at the portal with frenzied desperation but his claws were the only thing penetrating through. As it has been for centuries passed, Grim was not allowed in this world.

As it condensed further it began to glow, lighting up the night sky with unnatural colors and casting eerie shadows on the potentials below. It grew so small that when it closed all that could be seen was the tiniest fragment of a fingernail before the portal exploded.

Millions of particles of dimensional dust showered the potentials, who joined in a victorious whoop and danced in the spectral glowing dust as it descended like glitter in the air. Those still under the spell of Acerbus' darkness quickly crashed back into themselves with startled gasps, laughs, and tears. The blinking numbers above the lunch box indicated that they had merely five minutes, two seconds left to stop what would have been a world-changing disaster.

The hospital wing soon filled up with the injured, all of the nurses and doctors, and those with healing abilities spent many hours in the night to stop the bleeding from wounds that ultimately saved the potential's lives. Friends, pairs, lovers, and families joined together amidst the battered campus of Temperance, reunited after several days of blood-chilling fright.

Jelena was transported to the council's headquarters, locked away in one of the medical holding cells. It was there she lay in a quiet coma, finally resting from the toll on her body that darkness and hate did bring her.

With the sun rising in the east and students taking care to clean up the more dangerous disasters to their facility, the intercom system sparked to life. Around the campus many students looked up from their overwhelmed state at the nervous breath over the speakers, and then the most gentle tune carried over them offering comfort, apologies, and forgiveness.

"Accept me please to be your comfort,
a stranger although I may be, but please-
Please let me sit beside you.
Your darkest hour is mine too."
