As night fell along the coast line, the town bell rang throughout Shampanelle. The warning bell. The queen was calling upon the city for aid. The country over could hear the bell, an alarm to all warriors to come to the aid of the queen and country. Many gathered to the castle to aid and to seek a presence with the queen. A few at a time, people were brought into the thrown room to speak to the Queen.

((that means go ahead))

XXX Mio Ziezeke
The Wandering Wind

After enough ruckus, and people trying to crowd their way into the throne room it seemed that Mio had been apprehended by two the gurads, who now held him at the door, as he struggled furiously. The guards were big men, and Mio was not so much, so with two tough trained men gripping an arm each, he was efficiently pinned, but that didn't stop his fighting back. "Hey you big idiots I have a right to be in here, now let me go!" He yelled at the two who gripped him tightly by his limbs. He was right and wrong. Of course he did indeed have a right to be in there, but by no means was he behaving appropriately, and had earned the punishment of being tossed out.

The guards pulled back and almost managed to drag Mio out of the doorway, but just at that time he managed to kick his legs against the ground, and toss them upwards knocking the guard on his right square in the nose, and causing him to stagger back. Mio now had one of his hands free, and landed lithely on his feet, gripping the other guards hand, twisting it around, moving behind him, giving him quick hip toss tumbling him into the other just now recovering guard. The two toppled to the ground together in a big heap, while Mio stood straight, legs together, and arms crossed, as he smirked cockily. "Heh that it, that all you're guys have got." Mio muttered as his eyes moved down, to notice his left glove had fallen, the mark on his wrist completely exposed.

Mio never thought much of the mark, and didn't try to hide it, so he simply bent over reaching down with his left hand and lightly picking up his fallen glove, the mark in direct view of the queen. He nonchalantly pulled the glove back on. "Now what did I come in here for....?" The young man mumbled curiously tapping his foot, and rubbing his chin. His eyes wandered down to the queen, who stood in front of him. "Oh yeah that damn bell woke me up, what's the big idea!?"

As the sound of the bell filled his ears, the young male stopped striking the wooden dummy and wiped his brow of the sweat he had built up from his five hour training session. With a sigh of both relief and fatigue, he sheathed his sword and turned around to look at the castle with a weary look on his face, "Looks like the Queen is calling a public audience for some reason. No doubt father and mother will attend." Throwing on his shirt, the swordsman headed to the castle in haste so that he could hear what was going on. As he approached the side entrance, a guard stopped him and made him scowl, "Move. I am Faln Soner, son of Derris and Sarah Soner." The guard instantly moved out of his move and Faln ran inside and towards the throne room where his parents were waiting.

The Queen Allura

Trumpets sounded and the queen stepped out behind a curtain and sat in her thrown. She frowned. Stop that blasted noise. The trumpets stopped abruptly and the queen held her head. By the gods that is annoying....no more doing that. She looked over to the group of people gathered. She sighed. Welcome everyone. Im glad to see so many of you gathered here so quickly. She shifted in her seat. The dormant volcano in the Cappelays has become active again. She stood, walking slowly towards the crowd, hand folded. As you probably know...this is suppose to signal the return of the Last. Normally, we would not act so hastily but with the monsters acting up and attacking more and more often, I suspect that something has stirred them. She paused and looked about the crowd. We must act quickly.

Genesis Rhapsodos
The Mystic Knight

Even if you don't promise to wait...

He had heard the bell and instead of going to seek his aunt for an audience, Genesis instead, watched the crowd gathering. He knew she would be busy now as a results of her summons. Instead, he headed toward the church, seeking guidance before he would head over to the source of the alarm.

Setting foot in the chapel again was odd, familiar and somewhat comforting. It was something familiar, something he had missed the last few years. One of the many, many things that he missed and took for granted. The serenity and yet impressive aura of the church always had a calming effect on the nerves of Genesis.

As he walked down the walkway toward the altar, Genesis kept his sights forward, the lights streaming through the stained glass windows, giving the room the appearance that now he and most others associated with the sacred. There were priests and others along the side as he walked past but he paid no attention to them, his footstep never falling out of its steady pace. Then he stopped a respectable distance from the altar and closed his eyes. It was as if the rest of the world had simply melted away.

...I'll return knowing you'll be here.

~.:.~ Ember Bloom ~.:.~

Walking out from the back of the chapel, Ember stopped to speak to one of the Bishops. She spotted Genesis walk again and she excused herself for the moment. Excuse me.

Hello Genesis. Ember walked up behind him, her staff in hand. Shouldn't you be in the thrown room. Im sure Allura would want to see you there. She stood beside him, a soft smile on her face. Any particular reason why your here instead?

The Queen Allura

Allura turned to face the man who had spoken to her. Her eyes narrowed. The big idea is that our beloved country is under attack by these monsters and I will not stand for it any longer. We have already lost Rion, I do not want to lose any more of our land and people to these beasts. She looked at the man. What is your name?

Even if you don't promise to wait...

Genesis opened his eyes and turned around when he heard a familiar voice calling to him. He could not recognize her voice at first since it had been a while since he was at the capital. Smiling at the woman, he inclined his head, "Ember, it is good to see you again." He was now fully facing the older woman and the young man waved his hand toward the altar at her question. "I am merely here to received the blessings of the gods. I am sure Aunt Allura would appreciate that. Why are you here?"

He waited for her answer and smiled, offering his arm to walk her out of the chapel. "I will go see her now. I just thought she might be busy with the other warriors coming to her aide. She knows I wouldn't miss this. I am finally able to get out on my own, instead of being my father's...lackey." He smiled and walked toward the door of the church, "You coming to see aunt Allura as well?"

...I'll return knowing you'll be here.

XXX Mio Ziezeke
The Wandering Wind

Mio was taken by surprise. His eyebrows raised, and his eyes widened, as he took a step back, somewhat losing his composure, in the presence of the queen, but made sure to quickly regain, reassuring his footing, and narrowing his brow again, returning his mouth from the surprised open expression to his usual charming smirk. He really wasn't expecting an answer, it was the last thought in his mind that the exalted queen would bother speaking to him, and not just have him thrown out, he was really just here to stir up trouble, and have some fun.

"Heh I am Mio Ziezeke." He exclaimed confidently as he flicked his thumb across the tip of his nose, a notably cocky gesture. His voice as well as his stance was firm, as he emerald eyes wandered the room, wondering why every bodyguard in the kingdom hadn't come down on his head with wrath. He did however notice that everyone around him was bowing, and to this he only stood up straighter, to reaffirm himself. "You got a problem with that you're highness." Me muttered with a youthful smile.

~.:.~ Ember Bloom ~.:.~

Ember smiled. Checking in on things before I leave. Im going to head to the Cappelays to seal the volcano. The elders agree that its the only way to assure that the Last does not come up from the depths of hell. She turned to the alter and blessed herself and the gods.

Ember walked at Genesis' side. Of corse. She is said to pick a group of the warriors to travel with me to the volcano. I suspect you will be one of them.

Even if you don't promise to wait...

The young knight smiled and nodded, although he had no idea what Ember had just told him. Was whatever her quest the reason for his aunt's call for help? Genesis shrugged, he would find out soon at any rate. "I am ready to head out on my own, Ember. I am glad that aunt Allura could see that. I am a warrior in my own right." He said this more to himself, to reassure himself rather to reassure Ember.

Genesis walked out of the chapel and the somber mood of the city was evident. He looked around and sighed, thinking about how much the city had changed the last time he was here...which was a few years ago. Soon they arrived at the queen's throne room and Genesis stood outside the impressive doors. "Let's go see her now if she's ready for us. You can go in to see her first if you wish but I'll wait till I am called for."

...I'll return knowing you'll be here.

The Queen Allura

Allura smirked. No problem at all. She stepped forward, the people around Mio bowing as she neared. She touched the side of his face a coy smile on her face. Well Sir Ziezeke, since you seem all to keen on making a fool of yourself in my presence, you can tell me...what do you suggest we do about the volcano.

XXX Mio Ziezeke
The Wandering Wind

Mio's eyebrows knitted as she started to stride towards him. This was unusual, a queen walking up to a common vagrant like Mio. His smirk dropped open into a confused look, as she got ever closer to his position. "What's her game?" He thought to himself once she made a graceful stop in front of him, her exquisitely garbed figure standing right in front of him. He only now noticed that the queen was taller than he was, a little embarrassing, it just made him feel like a kid, and the way she looked at him was like a mother chastening her child. Not that Mio would really know but he got the presence.

Then she raised her regal hand, and placed it against the side of his face. "Git!" He squeaked, as she touched his cheek, his body stiffening. What was she thinking, a queen laying a hand on a thief. Then she went on to call him a fool, and ask him a rather daunting question. He looked right into her face, with the most despaired and confused look on his own. He only realized how beautiful she was, he usually just thought of people like her as not really people. But for a woman of her age she was considerably attractive. He wanted so bad to contest the fact the he was a fool, but all he could get out was a stuttering. "V-volcano?"
